Continuing in our current collection of talks, Shift, Pastor Louie challenges how we come before God in prayer. As he breaks down the many requests we put before God out of habit and religion, he instead encourages us to pray out of a desire to have a close relationship with the creator of the universe and remix our ritualistic prayers.

A few weeks ago, my 4 yr old granddaughter was with us as my family gathered to pray. I was so convicted by God as she began to pray. She did thank God for the day and then told God how much she loved him and how she loved her mom, brother, aunts and uncles. She even shared with God how her aunt was going to take her zip lining (this she must have been speaking by faith because her aunt knew nothing about this). She had some petitions as well but I was convicted because she truly spoke to God as she would me or her mom or brother and didn't give a list of repetitious words that had no true meaning anymore. I was reminded of how Jesus said we must become like little children to enter the kingdom of God. Her praying like that was a perfect picture of how God wants us to be like in our prayer time.

Min 23:10 this is something that 90% of churches needs to stop doing, they present de “Gospel of Grace”, saying that by believing it you are saved , “BUT”,at the same time , they end up the message telling people to “ASK GOD FOR FORGIVENESS “ !! Haven’t we all been forgiven ALREADY at the cross once and for all !?? 🤔
If we keep telling people to repent and ask for God’s forgiveness, That way a person will never be sure if God gave a final answer to that prayer and be always be wandering if God has really forgiven him/er !! We don’t need a “salvation prayer” as if we should follow some steps , the Gospel is simple , and if you believe it you are saved and secured in Christ ,and if you don’t believe it , you are Not !! Every single human was already forgiven in christ at the Cross,is now up to the person to accept that gift or Not !
