Q: Where is your accent from?
A: I was born and raised to Toronto, Ontario, Canada but moved to Essex in England when I was 14 years old. Hence my mixed up accent.
Q: Do you work? What do you work as?
A: I worked in Marketing and PR but I now focus on my vlog full time.
Q: Who’s in your family?
A: I have been married to Matt for since 2009, he is the love of my life! We have three sons - Fraser (born 2010), Caleb (born 2013) and Jackson (born in 2016).
Q: What camera do you use to film?
A: I film my videos with the Canon G7X and a Canon EOS M50.
Q: What lighting do you use?
A: I use natural lighting 90% of the time and a softbox light during the winter / dark evenings.

Taking photos of the artwork and adding them to separate files for each child is a good compromise I've seen! And a nice little memory file. ❤️

I feel ur pain re artwork... Each night during evening cleaning routine I look through kids artwork and pick one or two faves, either keep and display in my kitchen or photograph to then make into a grid on pic colage holding 4 to 6 pieces of artwork per colage. Then to sort thru the hard copies, put a reminder in ur phone for every month or two to try and further declutter. Another great video, these and cleaning ones are my faves!! Xx

Emily, if you allow me to make a suggestion about your boys's art work: keep the most important ones and scan the others in pdf format to keep them saved with your photographs on your computer, HD or cloud.
I don't like to keep papers in the house (I'm allergic) and always do this to birthday cards, notes, drawings, receipts... the memories will be there but the clutter will not

Letícia G Personally, I could never throw special greeting cards away. They are special to me.
My Mum died very suddenly from a blood clot 20 years ago & the last cards etc that she gave me & my Dad are something I will always treasure.
I put items like this in acid free punched pages/protectors inside an arch file.

Hi Emily. I’m the same with my kids artwork (can’t bear to get rid of it 💔) so I take photos of their creations before going in the bin. Much easier to store a digital copy over a hard copy of all their art 😊

Love your declutters and how you clean everything, is the exact same way i would clean when i get my own house x
There is a something here in the US where you can send children’s art in and they send you a beautiful almost coffee table type of book of their artwork. I was thinking of doing it for my grandchildren. At the moment their art work goes in Nana’s ‘special’ box under my bed. They love that and every so often get it out to go through and check through it. They love finding old artwork or look at the back ( I write their name and age on the back) to see how old they were when they did it.
Jillian dent, and this is why I think it’s worth keeping, children love hands on things. Looking at photos on a computer screen isn’t the same. I plan to just keep a reasonable size box per year or couple of years and pare down the collection so it fits. Maybe when they’re teenagers, then it’s time to ditch the hard copies and go digital (I love the coffee table book idea at that point).

I love how you have a loo in your laundry room! We are currently doing some renovations and when I told my builder I wanted a loo in my utility, he thought I was crazy 😂! I’m like I’m a mum of boys! Let’s have more toilets in the house for me to clean 😆. Fab video! Xx

We’re in the process of renovating our basement and a combo bathroom/laundry room was our plan, it saves space! Unfortunately the plumbing wouldn’t allow it so we’ve had to sacrifice part of the family room to a separate bathroom. 🤷🏻♀️

When you use blue is for the loo cuz that’s what Emily calls it and nobody in your house understands cuz you live in the states! My kids are older but I used to have a string with pegs on one wall of dining room and put all pics up as kids wld like to see them on display... then each half term take all down and sort one or 2 for memory box. Found it worked well 👍

Hi Emily. I’ve heard twice in ur vlogs u struggle with the boys art work. Same here. I never knew what to do with them. So I went to check for some ideas online . And one of them was: make a picture of the art work and save it on a usb etc.
I use my kids pictures as pages to make a note book. They look really pretty and make good use of used paper. Also means I can hold on to their art that little longer.
Just reorganized my pantry it looks so much better

Lots of cleaning products! I used to be the same but now I’ve narrowed it down to 1 multi purpose cleaner that comes out 99% of the time. 1 glass and electronics cleaner which is a diy one. It’s just water and rubbing alcohol - I also use this for my spectacles cleaner, baking soda and vinegar. Does anyone else watch Clean My Space videos?

I keep my kids school work in some pe type of bags I found. Each kid has their own bag with their work in and a pencil case with pencil and rubber in. I also have a jar of pencil crayons and spare pencils and a tub with erasers and sharpners in so they can be on hand and no excuse they can't find anything.
