I'll admit I was a little baffled by this lecture by what is often called the greatest architect alive. 1:05:50 "i like this because... you can see why" No. This is a lecture. It is the lecturer duty to share his vision, to share with listeners his thought processes. The example above is very indicative of his entire approach to the discourse in this occasion. Language barrier can be a factor here but I have to admit that while Zumthor may be the greatest architect in the world, he may not be the most brilliant communicator (and that's fine)
The fact that this is being recognized as amazing makes me really sad and angry when there are some real talent and geniuses that can layer so many beautiful things and concept in a rich and harmonious way... This is just a performance...
