The second question came from me lol. I'm still going to take the exam and go to medical school if the exam goes well, but since the stream, I was able to tell my parents that I'll only give it a try for a maximum of 2 years. If I confirmed that it is not for me within that timeframe, I'm going to graduate school instead to become a clinical psychologist which is something I'm way more interested in becoming.
They seem okay with the idea, but who knows, maybe they're right about me being suited for medicine and I'll end up being a doctor anyways.
Good luck with the exam and whatever school you choose to go to (be it MedSchool or switching to Psychology) buddy.
Thanks~ I'll do my best!
How do I say this... imho, in the end, your future life is your own to decide. Your parents can give you suggestion and idea of path to pursue according to their thinking but you really should do what you think is best for yourself. As they say: there's no medicine for regret.
Good luck, sir.. Remember to learn how to enjoy life.
Well im about to graduate from a career i don like that much, so just pick what makes you happier
Just imagine in a alternate reality somewhere, she's a doctor with this stellar voice
And she will do surgery with an axe not scalpel
1st part - Suisei the realist;
2nd part - Suisei the idealist;
"I've never acknowledged anyone as having more passion than me!" is god damn powerful.
"Still smart in primary school" LOL, to be fair, she's still very intelligent and she knows what she needs to do to get the things she wants
Yeah she is smart just not necessarily in an academic way.
Imagining Suisei as a doctor holding a scalper or knife performing surgery…. Yeah I can see her as one
Hoshiyomi: I had passion about this, but i couldnt fulfill my way...
Suisei: _More passion, more passion, more energy, more energy!_
She’s an absolute anime protagonist.
Depressive thoughts haunting you? Chase them away with thrill rides and adrenaline.
Feeling uncertainty about your career? Build up more passion than anyone else.
Lost in the forest with zero sense of direction? Just trust your gut and it’ll all work out.
My mother wanted me to be an engineer but I took multi-media arts. She was really disappointed because media arts are still not as developed back then unlike right now but I continued it. Now I am having a blast working with my passion and also earning a lot mainly because media arts are so developed nowadays that we have a lot of work and even surplus to take on more if we want to. Even my mother told me that she never knew how fast the internet and media will progress and that it will become a huge part of people's lives now.
Best advice I've heard on careers, which most of us will get confused about at some point in life, is this - don't think about the glory, merits, glamour, money, best or most famous professionals in line of work, and whatnot - think about the drudge.
Think about the tedious boring work, what you'll be spending the most time with, the average professional, the bad parts of the job, failures on the job, the crap you're going to have to deal with, all the bad sides of it.
If you still wanna do the job even knowing what you'll have to face - that might be the one to go for.
We tend to measure careers and jobs with the best outcomes in mind, but it's handling the worst outcomes that really tells you what you are really passionate about. And in the end, for most of us, it's persistence and hard work that will deliver gratifying careers and good outcomes.
Dad: son are you doctor or lawyer
Son: no, dad I’m 10
Dad: come back to me when you doctor
Happened to my friend, she's a good doctor now
I understood that reference
Parents need to learn and understand that we're our own people, and sometimes, we don't want to do what they do. We wanna do what WE'RE passionate about.
Most parents do understand that, but they also have the life experience to tell you that the odds are not in your favor. Just think how many kids nowadays want to be "influencers". 99.9% of them will never amount to anything in the digital space. Both their lives and society as a whole would be better if they focused on actual careers instead.
It's true. We are all our own person . We do have our own ambition.
But if this world only vtuber that all people only dream about, who's gonna treat vtuber who is sick? I am grateful that ookami mio is alive thanks to the doctor. Doctors nowadays are getting less and less more than you thought.
I'm not someone who can pursue what I want wholeheartedly like Sui-chan does, maybe that's why I like her so much. Her advice of just trying to pursue your dreams even if others or even you don't think you are suited to it makes me feel more confident and willing to do so, even if I still feel uneasy about making such a decision
I feel the same way. The person who wrote in saying that they specifically feel like they don't have the same level of passion as other people really struck a chord with me. I wish I could have as much faith in myself as Sui-chan did when she took the leap for her career, but I still think having a risky dream job as a side hobby is good advice to follow.
Yup, I am usually not that passionate or dedicated but I really admire Suisei's self confidence, passion, dedication and hard work.
Iroha want to be precure and Suisei want to sailor moon huh?
Don’t let someone else pick what path you go down. Carve out your own path and do what you think will lead you to becoming your idealized version of yourself.
That’s kinda the message I get from a lot of suichan’s music.
I'm designing weapons. I don't see a career where I can do it freely given that it takes time to make good designs.
I get the concept of (and fearing) burn out, but I don't think you can really call it a passion if you were never really willing to even try it. Personally I'm the opposite to where I've never really had a passion or gave a shit what I was doing professionally, and I think that's a big part of why these Vtuber talents are so inspiring to me.
As Chibidoki said recently - no matter what you will choose to do in life, you will always have regrets. That's part of life. So you might as well do what you want anyway.
Doctors cure the body, Suisei cures the soul
I swear to god Sui-chan is so inspiring. Knowing her journey along with the positivity she exudes just makes you want to do your best!
It's just interesting to know what could have happened if this comet became a doctor instead of an idol singer
4:13 suisei-sama really are a girl for wants to be sailor moon
A few weeks ago my mom saw my PC wallpaper of Suisei and said, "Is that Sailor Moon?" then, "But her hair is too short"
Sailor Moon is also blonde lol.
Sage advice
The first advice is actually interesting because it depends on what research field that person is interested on. Iirc, even Albert Einstein worked in patent office while doing physics theory in his free time before going back to uni to do research. However, if you are in Biology field, it is unthinkable to do science as side job so you should definitely keep pushing your passion for research.
Don’t tell Calli you want to be Sailor Moon. She’ll break your arm.
I'll always envy Sui's passion. I've been trying to hang on to this feeling, even in the days where you just feel like giving up, that lingering feeling is there, distant, but not out of reach. Just like she made it, I'll keep following this path until it leads to where I wanna be.
Using my leverage for life
Pushing through the strife as we crawl to the light
If we make it through, we gon’ walk it upright
Watch it how we move and we gon’ make it alright
Suichan actually turn into Doctor.. Except she fix and take life with specific tool depend on word you spout...
Wall.
Reminds me of the dreams i had. Cute Sui-chan.
I was a bit too logical to pursue those dreams tho. None lasted for half a year.
I didn’t know the sailor moon author Married the Hunter X Hunter author
Nah.. We don't want to see Surgeon Simulator in rl
I could have easily become a doctor or a lawyer. I went to an Ivy on a full ride. I chose not to simply because I was told I had to become a doctor or a lawyer, period. Did I make the right choice? Shrug. If I can't be happy with myself, why should my parents be happy, LMAO.
nah... there are too many "Doctors", "Lawyers", and "Politicians" in this darn world. We need more VTubers lol.
We need more passionate people. Doesn't matter if you're a doctor, a gardener, a programmer, a streamer, an accountant, don't half-ass your own life. Truth of the matter is that your parents will die someday, and you'll have to keep living. People gotta put their whole being into what makes life worth living, and make it work for them.
Don't half-ass your life ❤☄️
But without a doctor, ookami mio wouldn't be alive by now.
@@otakuagmvu4994 Indeed, Mio is alive today thanks to the health professionals who treated her. Doctors are vital to society, more the reason why it can't just be anyone, but only those passionate about the field.
Ahh asian problem
