Just had to share that this whole episode felt like synchronicity to me, even down to the talking about trees! I was literally just talking about how much I love trees which is something I’ve never really thought about before! I really needed this in my life right now. Thank you so much!
Great chat! Intelligent, funny, good energy... this podcast is in a league of its own. (destroy me. I deserve it) I have no idea how interviews are booked, but I just listened to Jennette McCurdy on Armchair Expert. Kinda left wanting more tbh. She's an ex-Mormon child star (iCarly) and is promoting her book, . Very articulate, therapy informed especially around mother wounds, "Christian literate", funny, and casually drops f-bombs. I feel like you'd have all kinds of things to talk about (and obvious ulterior motive here, I'm with Sean Evans on your interview skills:) Thanks for all the belly laughs and 7 years of passive therapy. Any time you said, "There's some trucker listening to this podcast right now..." yup, that was meeeeeeeeeee. :)
I second this! I've listened to a couple of Jennette's interviews recently and I feel like Pete could really dig deep with her in a way that others haven't.
Being from Utah and watching her show growing up, listening to Jeanette on a podcast feels a lot like talking with a friend from high school. She’s great. From what I can tell she’s pretty resentful of show business whereas Pete has always been fascinated by it. Could be an interesting pod. Miranda Cosgrove is also a hell of a podcast guest. I saw her on Whitney Cummings’ podcast not long ago I believe.
ALOTO is the best series/movie I’ve ever seen! It’s like a movie to me! Ok I’ve seen it 8times all episodes. Very well done, the period, characters, production, great flow etc etc. I laughed often, cried too. History was shown perfectly in those years! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Pete, I feel as though this is the third time someone has suggested you read The Overstory. I mention this with love and encouragement. I STILL need to read my copy~~
17:32 Abbi is exactly right about people being angry at remakes. In the eyes of the general public, remakes are nothing more than nostalgia-fueled cash grabs by whatever studio is producing it. And most of the time (looking straight into your soul, whoever greenlights the live-action Disney adaptations that literally nobody has asked for ever) the finished product is NOWHERE close to as good as the original product.
The fact it wasn't a remake is why I gave it a shot (no regrets... absolutely love it). It just expanded on the movie and showed more stories of those women. Plus, knowing the research they did makes me respect the reimaging more.
@@Palindrome78 Oh, I wasn't talking about her show, but the general feeling towards remakes in general. If anything, taking a classic movie and adding more to the world by stretching it from a 90-minute experience into a legitimate series is kind of the best way to "remake" something.
@@ItsCrawdaddy I get it. I was hesitant to watching it (despite loving Abbi's work) until I learned it was not a remake. I love how they did this show.
I’m sure he’s such a busy person, but I wish Pete would kick off an Omaze or something with a chance for a fan to sit and talk with him. I love all these conversations.
This video dropped 41 minutes ago. According to my TH-cam feed directly underneath it, another channel I subscribe to dropped a video one minute before yours proclaiming, “GWAR says f*** you to Gatekeepers!” Coincidence?
Of course they won't. That's what she's saying. Didn't Broad City start on TH-cam? You can upload virtually anything on TH-cam. You can also grow a TH-cam following these days and be much more profitable than previously possible.
I don’t like remakes mainly because it always feels like the people making it are thinking “yes that was a perfect and beloved movie, but I think we can do it better”. It’s a narcissistic money grab. That’s why I don’t like them.
Oh I remember her, she was on an episode of Curb. That’s all I know her from. She’s cool. Edit for, wait-you-a-want-kid-soon? I’ll have a kid with you Abbi. I don’t have any either. Not getting any younger. 😏
A League of Their Own is absolutely brilliant. Look forward to seeing what Abbi does next 😀
I miss seeing Abbi so much, just seeing her puts me in a great mood.
What does that even mean?
@@snavisTM her show isn’t on tv anymore and he’s a fan? just a very simple guess
I hear that! But you know.. with my eyes
I just wanna say, abbi is one of my favorite people out there.
Same and I cant believe I discovered her 2 weeks ago

abbi is so special, she deserves the world!!

She is smart, funny, gorgeous...

Trees are so wonderfully alive, they carry the essence of our world and the pulse of our ancestors.

She's actually already been on the show!

One day we’ll get that Broad City Movie.
I got to know Abbi in a League of their Own, we need more seasons!!

TV shows need remakes 2
The Mitchells Vs. The Machines... I cannot wait for the sequel.
Throwing in '(T)hanks, I'm having such a 'Rosie' day' 😀
8:18 Show starts.
There are usually a lot of people in the comments who haven't figured out that you can just Google ways to skip sponsors.

Ok when they were talking about Jared Leto, my mind went to Jay Leno for a good three minutes lol
love this so much my only note would be more gay stuff next time
Kevin's got to make that Bodyguard reboot!!
LOVE HER SO MUCH-GREETINGS FROM GREECE
Thank you for the reminder to drink green tea!!! I'm looking forward to trying magic mind.
I love me some Abbi content
Pete’s gonna be a great grandpa with that chuckle
Imagine holding a mic for 2 whole hours.
She's just a favorite of mine.
I love Abbi so much you could call me Lana
Abbi is an incredible talent and contributing human being!
"perma sleepover" just freaked me out
That's the most uncomfortable looking comfortable couch.
I always waver between comfortable and uncomfortable. It's hard to judge
This video dropped 41 minutes ago. According to my TH-cam feed directly underneath it, another channel I subscribe to dropped a video one minute before yours proclaiming, “GWAR says f*** you to Gatekeepers!”
Coincidence?
TH-cam knows all
Where'd you get that couch? Looks comfortable.
Couch store
It’s Princess Bean
The problem with this is that the supposed "Gate Keepers" Won't let you build your own gate....

I think it's aspirational, not describing what you need to actually do hehe.
Pete, your phone picked t-ball.... It's always listening.
Pete is a bit too interrupty.
I thought so too
I thought that, as well.
I thought im supposed to bother people at coffee shops for an obscure amount of months
I loved listining to Abbi talking, I wish he would not cut her off so often...
"If you don't like the gatekeepers, make your own gate." So... you can be the gatekeeper yourself?

Being Jared Leto. Spike?? Charlie???
That is a comically large couch, even Big Pete looks like a child sitting on it.
You made it weird
I miss broad city. Last season was poop emoji. Co op Abbi pretending to be ilana still sends me.
Stop asking for permission to create your own sandbox. The mainstream will make it difficult but it’s not impossible. Eric July proved that.
Goddamn how long is this fucking commercial
I would rather have a short commercial than this long talk about a product. Otherwise i liked.
He does all the talking.
you'll like heroin if you like Xanax
Oh I remember her, she was on an episode of Curb. That’s all I know her from.

she has a fiance
@Abby Sterling - well she’s halfway there.

Wtf? She still can have kids though?
