    I LOVE Easy Peasy. It is by far the best curriculum out there. It does not have holes and does not charge you other than what you choose to give for donations or purchase yourself. I purchase all the EP books because I know it helps EP, and I plan on maybe getting some merchandise this year to support them.

      I also purchase the books as much as possible to help them out and we just like having books in hand. Also, what I was paying for in ink and paper I was better off getting the books as well.

    Easy Peasy was a life saver our first year of homeschool. Half of the curriculum we bought, did not work for us, and Easy Peasy was such a relief to find. My kids loved it! ❤️❤️

      I love that! I really enjoy connecting with others who use it/have used it as well, because it has been such a blessing for us. I agree with your comment on that there isn't a ton of content on people using the curriculum. That was one of the reasons that I wanted to start posting. We have used it for a few years now and I wanted to be of help, if I could, to anyone who needed it. Thanks for watching and commenting!!

    I have been endlessly researching which homeschool curriculum will fit my family! After watching this I think you have helped solidify my choice of EP!! I like that it gives you the flexibility to do both computer and offline, plus have room to supplement some extras , which is also what I’m leaning towards! Thank you so much for this!!

    • @chandaelizabeth3046
      @chandaelizabeth3046 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Peachy♡ we like it a lot! We are now several days into our second quarter and both of my boys really like it. I will say that i wish there was more formal review, because both of my kids have issues with retaining what they learn, but it is easy to go back to a lesson and go over it again if needed. Also, i know its enough at least for the state of Pennsylvania, as that is where Lee Giles is from. You can also use it as a suppliment to other curriculum. Its very customizable, you can add your own classes from other websites. My kids do really well with online learning as well, so it really suits our family. I would say if you are concerned about it not being enough, give just one or two subjects a try first to see if you and your kids like it and then add more subjects if it does work for your family 🥰 best of luck!

    I LOVE how EP doesn't have a bunch of fluff and that the lessons are straight and simple. BUT!! That does sometimes make me worry it's not enough when compared to the curriculum that is stuffed full of extras to justify their price. I try to keep in mind that kids don't need to spend an hour on each subject.

    • @worldofweeze
      @worldofweeze  2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Good morning! Thanks for your comment! We love it for that reason also. My children DO NOT do well with longer than 30 min. lessons, and I am aware and ok with that. I love the time freedom that it gives to add in all the extra stuff/life skills they are interested in. That is so important to us. Or if they need a little extra time on reading or math, that's when I have the extra time to add in more practice that way. For example, my oldest has already made it very aware to us that he is not interested in college. We are 100% ok with that. He wants to work with my husband at his design shop. So in his shorter days, he is able to head into work with him and get real life practice with Adobe Illustrator and the embroidery process (And to socialize to prove we don't keep our kids in a box🤣) My middle daughter has culinary interests so it provides that extra time to hop onto Skillshare or Outschool to take a baking class. Or just to bake something with me in the kitchen! Can't beat that time😊 We have been using EP for a few years now as the majority and my kiddos pass their year end evals with flying colors👍🏻

      Same. I use Abeka for Science, Social Studies & Health because these EP courses seemed way too advanced in elementary grades…my 1st grader shouldn’t be learning phylum, kingdom etc animal classification. This made them glaze over uninterested because nothing made sense. However, the other classes from Abeka are boring, repetitive and overwhelming so EP shines in math, reading and language arts. Lots of times we just need to find our style and no one I know 100% loves everything about their curriculum. You got to make it work!

    We love that it’s a Christian curriculum!!! Our state laws only really means that we can’t use American curriculum for history and geography or if we do use American curriculum we have to add Aussie history and geography!!! My older son loves easy peasy and he logs on himself. He downloads his worksheets and uses them!!! He loves being done with school so he loves that it’s to the point. He wants extra time for his sports!!! Ive overheard the videos and think they are awesome!!!

    • @worldofweeze

      Oh, that's interesting about that state law for history! But that makes sense! We are also required to touch on PA state history throughout the year. I am considering EP, but I don't want to have to print. I would rather buy the workbooks, which are inexpensive. I am confused, however. On the site and on the video is sounds as if the printed/workbook pages are only required for the offline version. Does the online version not require any written work?

    • @worldofweeze
      @worldofweeze  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! If you choose to use the online version, not every lesson has written work. When the lesson does ask for written work to be competed, the lesson includes a link where you can print the worksheet from. Hope this helps!

    I am a full-time work from home Mom. I'd really love to find a homeschool program for my 5 and 9 year old daughters that wouldn't require a whole lot of my attention throughout the day. Would this program be good for a working Mom? I can stop throughout my day and help them but not constantly. However I could give them a couple devoted hours in the evenings.

    • @worldofweeze
      @worldofweeze  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! I would say this could work well for you, depending upon how independent your children are. If you chose to do it in the evenings, I think it would be a good fit for you! Depending on the subjects that you use, you could complete everything in a few hours. Lee Giles also wrote the Genesis Curriculum, which is a family style type of learning through workbooks. I have not used it in our family, but it looks like it could be a good choice! Doing certain subjects as a group/family style will also really save on time and attention from you 😀 You can view Easy Peasy lessons from allinonehomeschool.com or Genesis Curriculum from genesiscurriculum.com. Let me know if you have any other questions!

    How do you keep records grading etc?

    • @worldofweeze
      @worldofweeze  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! I do not usually grade any of my kid’s work. I look over it and correct it when they are finished, and if it needs correction, they will do that. Otherwise, I do not keep grades at this point. I hold onto all of their work throughout the year and then compile the end of year portfolio for the evaluation by picking and choosing snippets from each subject taught throughout the year. After evaluations are done, I mark a big tub and stick all of their work in it from the year and store it☺️ I have all of their years work still in storage tubs and thankfully I haven’t needed to reference any of it for any reason.

    So are there sometimes TH-cam videos and not just games on the online version of math for EP? I have one kiddo in particular who is wanting to switch to workbooks and I’m thinking of ordering the EP books

    • @worldofweeze
      @worldofweeze  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! Yes! There are all sorts of videos linked. Games, lessons, songs...etc. For example, just yesterday I had my son log onto the online lesson (we typically do our math in the workbooks) and he watched the video in the lesson and it linked to a Kahn Academy video for explanation.

    Hi, do you find the offline workbook teaching manuals enough for someone who is decent at math but not great? I want to be able to explain the concepts well, and just wondered your opinion if the teacher guides are helpful enough to do that? We are looking at possibly using EP math level 4. Thanks

    • @worldofweeze
      @worldofweeze  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi!!! I have found that the parent guides are helpful in most ways. However there have been some lessons from this year that challenged me and I needed further explanation myself. I was good in math, but certainly not super advanced and some of the lessons I even need further explanation on. Usually in these cases, I will look up a TH-cam video to help explain it further or in a different way for us to understand🙂

    • @worldofweeze
      @worldofweeze  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! To be honest, I do not have an answer for your question! I'm sorry. Some things that may be helpful that I do know...EP is not accredited and they do not record keep your child's progress. You, as the parent, would be responsible for all of that. They do not do annual or standardized tests either. Again, that is up to the parent to know what is required by your state and local school district. I would probably suggest checking with your local school district, either by phone, e-mail or their website. And also double checking on HSLDA to see what is required by your state. I am in PA so I could help you out with our state requirements😃 My children always pass our end of year evaluations, free and clear😁 Please let me know if I can be of any other help!!

      You'd really need to check with the school on what they'd want to see to re-enroll. That's not really due to the curriculum you choose. It is more about what the school would want to see record-wise.
