It's ok to not have kids, but substituting something that gives your life TONS of meaning and purpose and allows you to grow as a person more than really anything else can -- with something as meaningless and as much of a waste of time as video games... You gotta fill that hole with something. This is coming from someone without kids as well, but I work with games - 12hrs a day and I can tell you 100% this does NOT give your life purpose and every single person I know who works then comes home and plays games is miserable in their life. @@Kamasillvia depends on when you want to go to post if ever ; getting to 20 is extremely easy now that the vanguard quest were introduced. I’m dragons teardrop plus others in pre. Holler at me sometime. Been playing over 17 years. Have many ldoa old school and many survivors in pre.
It's hilarious to me that this route uses a very newbie-looking wammo build with symbol of wrath nuking, but it was actually the result of meticulous routing and careful planning
excuse me, but wammo was one of the better farming builds before 600/smite (other than 55hp monking GoK). And once again it was a very solid choice once HM came out, as it had some unique places it was uniquely suited to annihilate.
I'm coming back after ages to this game because i realized i never even beat a single campain (i got very close in nightfall but stuck everywhere else) I wanted to make a goal to finish prophecies but i didnt realize it could be done this fast... Thanks for the motivation and also just wow.. blows my mind you did something in 5 hours that might take me over 20 years lol

Simply impressive. Just running from fire posts down to the high level area. I got through it not so long ago with a friend and hero. It took us 3-4 hours for the run down to the forge town of the dwarves. Really impressive.

It's pretty hilarious to imagine seeing a level 3 wammo advertising runs from Ascalon to LA for tips back in the day and them actually being able to do it. You would 100% be a legend of the game, lol. Also that trick with flagging henchies out of the zone to warp them to you was pretty cool, does that still work if there are other players in the party?
there used to be a more broken method of teleport but I do believe it is patched now, but there used to be a method to run heros through the map by flagging them through the map. I believe that because you had not entered range foes would not spawn so your hero could run through without fighting. Then once they got to the end of the zone, they somehow could res you and you would be teleported to your hero who was now by the portal to the next zone. then you just run through the portal and skip the zone without fighting.

Before it was nerfed it had an unlimited resurrection range whenever the spell ended so if your character died and your heroes used the spell and then ended it you would rez next to them no matter how far away they were. Made the droks run completely broken. A few years after I capped it in Whitmans folly south of droks it became an extremely common monk elite in FoW speed clears. Never imagined that because when I capped it it was never used for anything because it sucked other than a super rez. When they changed it to have a res range equal to only your bubble but with a big steroid to your other monk abilities it became pretty useful
@@jareduribe-sullivan643 before Unyielding Aura was a no range teleport resurrection, it was a bond enchantment that resurrected your party member and when you dropped the bond they died again. It was being used by scammers to convince noobies (like me) to drop their gold/items on the ground and then get unbonded and fall dead. Then the scammer would walk over to your goods pick them up and leave the instance. I find it ironic that they never found a way to make this skill effective without making it overpowered or useless. (2008-2009)

Good old days, when multiple things were unbalanced, but without the all-knowning internet most players never noticed or questioned it, me included. I was always wondering how some players managed to carry other players solo through the lothars pass to droknar's forge, but never looked it up ~15 years ago.

I remember selling Yak runs for Gold and having lots of fun doing it, despite the different nerfs they tried implementing, If I remember correctly W was best for yak runs until dervish came along. I also remember getting ran by a friend on my Mo and achieve M55 with low level so like Mo33 basically ahaha, good memories.

Do you think the developers intentionally made Alesia weak? It's always been a blocking factor getting stuff done. She always dies pretty much immediately and then multiple times on top of that, especially in missions where it counts the most lol.
Alesiad pretty bad early game. Giving her a touch res was probably the worst thing to give to a starter monk henchmen, it wouldve been easier to slap a res sig in her. Besides that, if you can figure out the ai Patterns, she's not too bad. I still do henchmen only runs for proph/factions and it's not bad, hard as hell some times but not crazy bad
If you mean at 1:45:00 it's because it causes a reload, which got me closer to Jiaju Tai. The timer pauses in loading, but essentially it saves time because it is a long way to run from the first place I spawned. It's the same reason why after speaking to her, I reload to get closer to the LA exit. Hope that makes sense :)
Maybe this wasn't the case in 2018, but if you had bought an expert salvage kit and salvaged that Prodigy insignia you get around the 2 hour mark, you probably would have been done with farming as far as money goes. They sell to the trader for a lot.
I haven't watched this yet, just the first 20 minutes or so to figure out if you were going to use elite tomes/existing cash/non-Proph skills. You have not. This might be the most awe-inspiring speedrun I have ever seen outside of TAS. o_o
There's a bonus pack that you can obtain that'll give you a bunch of items when you type the command /bonus. The summoning stone is one of those items, along with an array of weapons that the runner arranged and equipped in his weapon sets
is there some kind of unlimited any% category? like having a new character that needs to complete the final mission and beat the campaign but you can use another account (only controlled by you) to boost the character through content faster. Have maxed out characters in pre and post to boost you through content faster, run you through stuff to see just how fast one can actually get through content. nothing like teleport exploits to map to areas you shouldnt, but just have a character that can run you through content as fast as possible. Yes this strategy would likely mean that the new character would mostly sit afk while the maxed one runs them through all the content, but how fast could it be done? This category idea sounds dumb from a competitive standpoint, since much of the fun and challenge comes from having a new character make it through content and overcoming those challenges, though many players in this game have had someone run them through content, and this category would essentially be maxing how fast you can rush a new character through content.
I've thought about this run before. Prophecies, you've got to ascend vs the doppleganger which is only soloable before you can get to the fire islands. Factions you can rush pretty far down the luxon side and only do a handful of missions. Shing jea island can be ran but then as you said, main would just be an afk. Nightfall, foreign characters can skip most of noob island but progression in NF is pretty locked down via quests. Idk how much you can skip with toolbox dialog codes but even then there's still the torment area end game which is going to require your super alt to carry you. Personally, I'm trying to get the level 3 Fow armor. It used to be possible level 2 and even older level 1 but since factions is the fastest ascension and I cant seem to sneak my level 2 into closer to the stars to get to the mission I'm stuck. Level 10 is lowest for chaos gloves by joining a team doing DD and you end up in final eotn town but need r5 delver title too. I pushed 5 accounts through to ascension, max armor, full shadow form farming build and eotn pve skills and have a good farming team but that was quite a multibox mission. I can see the speed record being a similar setup but the likelihood anyone else would compete or agree upon terms are where I quit.
100%. Played thousands of hours in GW1, had so many titles, did everything in hard-mode, awesome Guild with IRL meets and hours and hours of farming, PvP or hard endgame content... I never truly got over this game, no other game has come close to GW1. Back in 2012 when GW2 was released I tried, but I was disgusted. I never could get into it. The few things that improved over GW1 (maybe faster-paced combat or large multi-player events) never compensated all of what GW1 had to offer. Even the world and the lore was too wonky, almost childish. I hate what they made of it, and when I see GW2 content today with pacman mounts and stupid mini dragons, I want to throw up.

I ask because you are not allowing yourself to: * Go to Kaineng Center - where you can: ** Get a whole bunch of skills from the skill trainer, which would allow you to skip several of the early game quests since the skill is offered there, e.g Holy Veil The Undead Hordes. ** Get the armor from Seitung Harbor, since it is has the same cost and rating as the armor outsice Sanctum Kay ** Optionally Get Enraged Smash from "the afflicted guardsman" quest. * Go to eye of the north - where you can get Ogden and Vekk (and optionally Gwen by spending another 5 minutes) to help with the initial quests, since they are way better than the level 10-15 henchmen. This would help in many of the early missions, especially capturing Defy Pain. While they would have bad skills, their starting skills + the monk skills you have available for unlocking would make them way better than the lvl 10-15 henchmen. Going to EoTN or Cantha would of course also allow leveling up much faster, but I understand there is a good deliberate reason not to do this, since you use the imp to the very end.
The rules for this speedrun (at least at the time) did not allow for travel to other campaigns. Essentially the rules make the run play like you've only purchased Prophecies, and no other campaigns.
By flagging henchman that are far away through a portal, they teleport to where you are! That way I can run safely without them dying and then bring them later to rez me :)

Could speed up Pre-Searing considerably if you use dialog IDs to instantly get secondary profession instead of doing quest

Correct :) and you need to purchase armor before the run or it's near impossible to complete. Getting more money is too slow.

By flagging henchman that are far away through a portal, they teleport to where you are! That way I can run safely without them dying and then bring them later to rez me :)

looks like a ghost town not many players to spot, and i remember these npc's you can get with you,, what is up with that green flag its ages since i played guild wars
added during nightfall along with heroes I think, but made it's way into hench only parties too
