I WISH Adventure had a Central Park, and Park Cafe, and Solarium Bistro, and all those cool places to eat! ROTFL at Robert's "maybe Park Cafe will have a breakfast salad". I sure hope the coffee at Cafe Promenade is good on the Adventure when./if I go, in September! Thanx for letting me know the themed nights in the buffet are listed in the app. SO nice to see them serving you in the buffet, and at the taco bar - I SO hope that continues until I go, I MUCH prefer it! I know they very recently started letting people smoke in the casino again. :( Even as a former smoker, I never liked the smell in places like that! Love the musical stairs - how cool! Wow - I got a great deal - got the 3-night dining package on s sale online for $75.99 for the 3 nights! I have bought/cancelled that, and the refreshment package (non-alcoholic, getting it for water, soda, and coffees) several times, every time there's a price drop. They are very good on refunding to your original form of payment, and re-booking at the new rate, which makes me happy.

My 1st Cruise is with the Enchanted Princess August, 12 4 Days from/to Southampton. Western Europe, Rotterdam, Day at Sea, St. Peter Port and back to Southampton.
In December i Cruising on the Niwue Statendam 7 Days Southern Caribbean. From/to Fort Lauderdale. With Curacou and Aruba. I am so happy Yeah.

This was the BEST embarkation day vlog I’ve seen. I’m going on this cruise in just a few weeks and this made me even more excited. So much genuine joy and positivity!! You two had me smiling the whole time.
Hi Favor! That ice skating show looked amazing as did the food at park cafe. I wish Carnival had as many desserts offered in the dining room as Royal, that list was never ending! Could you possibly do a video comparing Royal and Carnival? I've heard they are very different and I've only sailed with Carnival.
Hi, the food on Royal is so good. I’ve thought about a comparison video but the two are really like apples and oranges… very different. SOmething to think about. I can tell you Carnival is fun, Royal is relaxed. I always tell people on Carnival you are involved in the fun but on Royal you sit back and watch he fun. If that helps you any. Carnival is our favorite for now. The shows on Royal are always amazing with really strong talent. SO… since I could write a whole book in this reply to you maybe I should do the video! Haha! Thank you! The ship is big but still intimate. The pool deck, Central Park, the Promenade and the boardwalk are where most things happen. Dazzles is mostly where trivia is. We didn’t get to spend much time at all on the pool deck. Central Park was just so nice. Peaceful. Once you remember the deck numbers for those main parts you will be good. We are on Oasis next week. Excited to see the differences! Hugs!

Carnival needs a Garb & Go ( Turn there cafe along the promenade to that - Grab & Go ) open 24hrs
Plaza cafe on Dream class , Vista Class ( included lite food , have similar to cafe promenade)
I agree 100%. Carnival has the deli, Guy’s and Pizza and even Tacos but it is not ready and waiting for a quick grab. And, it is not a snack it is a meal. I would love to see them add sandwiches, and deserts and small salads etc to their coffee shop! The Ocean Plaza is great on Carnival but it is not always available. LOVE that Cafe Promenade is always available. Thank you my friend! Hugs!

I was on this sailing too. I'll keep a lookout for me in the background. I was on the pool deck to for sail away and couldn't believe how cold it was. I'm from Iowa where it was 5 degrees the morning I flew to Miami. The views were worth it.
Wow that is VERY cold! It was warmer in Texas when we left left for Miami. I was not expecting the cold in Miami at all! Just glad it warmed up some for the ports. Hope you had a fabulous cruise. Thank you for watching! Hugs!
When I was on Oasis of the seas I barely saw the ocean because I spent so much time in boardwalk and Central Park areas. I had a balcony over Central Park.
It was easy to forget you were on a ship on this ship. We had to make sure we went out on the balcony to see the water. I can see a Central Park balcony being really nice, not sure about a Board Walk Balcony. Hugs!

Hi there! Before I answer you should know I am always cold. Any of the ports on your itinerary can be cold or cool in winter. We have been when it is in the 80's and when it is in the 50's-60's. The wind is what makes it feel even more chilly. I bring a waterproof wind breaker and a long sleeved t-shirt for port days where I may be in the water. If the temps are below 80 I do not get in the water, overcast days I rarely get in the water - I would be far too cold. For the western ports on your sailing this time of year is perfect for excursions to the ruins - it is not hot.
For me the ship is always fairly chilly. I always have a jacket or a sweater I can wear. This past cruise ( Allure last week) the ship was very cold but it was also quite chilly outside. Most everyone was in a jacket. I wore leggings or long skirts/dresses and a sweater all week. I hope this helps. I do run cold but I usually see most women on board in sweaters the men seem to be fine. Have an amazing cruise! Symphony is beautiful!!

Yes. It was quite chilly but it was mostly the wind that made it unbearable to be outside. Hugs!

We enjoyed the ship, even being so large we were able to easily navigate and know where things were. Even at lower capacity it felt crowded at times and the need to book shows early was apparent as most everything sold out the first couple of days. These things can happen on smaller ships especially at full capacity. We still prefer the smaller ships but have booked an Oasis class ship twice more since sailing Symphony. You do have to remind yourself you are on a ship and make yourself find the ocean on the upper decks but it is still a great ship to sail if only once for the experience alone. I like Norwegian and Royal Caribbean bathrooms because they don't have that curtain, but I see on a Mardi gras they finally put the glass door. I've been on three Royal Caribbeans and four Norwegian cruises.
Yes, the shower on the Mardi Gras was nice but the bathroom was very, very small. The shower on this ship felt larger than most. Hugs!

Coffee is hit and miss. Some days it was terrible and others it was great. I never purchased the coffee from Cafe Promenade or Starbucks I stuck with the self serve coffee. OH! I did order a Latte from Jamie's..it was, without a doubt, the very best latte I have ever had. It was so good I ordered a second! My friend did the same! Hugs!
Hi there. So sorry your first week on that beautiful ship was canceled. But hey it looks like you are making the best of it and having a great time. Just found out my Alaskan cruise out of Seattle in May had a change of ship. Now going on the Splendor instead of Freedom Have you ever cruised her before? I noticed that she has been in Sydney, Australia. Also they are swapping out Skagway for Icy Point Strait or Sitka. Bummed because we had two excursions planned for Skagway. Anyhow enough of that. Can you tell us what food areas are included in the price without extra charge ?
Hi there. Cafe Promenade(there are options to purchase coffee and free self serve coffee. The sandwiches and snacks are all included), El Loco Fresh, Sorrento's, Park Cafe, the main dining room, and the buffet ( I think that is all of the locations) are all included in your cruise fare.

Were you able to book shows before boarding the ship? I sail my first royal cruise on Symphony this June and nervous about missing the shows. I heard they are wonderful! 💜
We also booked a Guarantee Room so i hope we have our assignment before boarding day 😯
We booked guarantee! Got our room number about a month or so before sailing. The shows are amazing. I will show parts of all the shows in this vlog series like I did the ice show in this vlog. The shows are truly fantastic. You cannot pre-book the shows or dining or anything. When we boarded the ship we sat down nearly immediately and booked all the shows. We noticed you can only book them once each so make sure you pick the times you know will go. You can cancel a booking but you run the risk of the show being "sold out." We did go to the water show twice but that was a special circumstance I'll explain in the vlog. Enjoy the cruise and enjoy Royal. Thank you for watching! Hugs!
Which ship would you choose between Oasis and Symphony?
Oh this is a hard one! I had such a great time on Oasis but I think as far as ships go Symphony was a bit nicer and Park Cafe was much better. That said Oasis was fantastic and had the BBQ which was amazing! So if you really like BBQ then I suggest Oasis if you could take it or leave it then Symphony would be better! Hugs!

what did you order for dinner? I am GF too. So you have to order daily?
Hi! Yes, I pre-order for the next day. In the specialty restaurants they can usually accommodate you at the time of your meal. In the dining room your wait staff will help you and remind you to pre-order your meal for the next day or help you with specialty dining. The head Maitre De will visit with you on embarkation day at dinner to let you know how your particular sailing/ship handles gluten free. IF your wait staff does not bring the Maitre De over then ask for them. They will take very good care of you. Usually I order just about anything I want and they make it gluten free for me. Sometimes they can't but in that case they will ask you what you would prefer in its place. You will never be hungry, they take great care of me. Hugs!

is there a charge for coffee / pizza bar ?
Hi! The pizza in Sorento’s is included- no additional charge. The self serve coffee in Cafe Promenade is included as well-no additional charge. There is an up charge option for coffee at Cafe Promenade but I did not purchase it. There is also a Starbucks but I never purchased from there. Thank you for watching! Hugs!
DO you have to wear face mask still?
We were on Oasis for spring break and the mask was not required in most spots on the ship for vaccinated persons. Still required in the terminal and on transportation. Each port of call has their own rules regarding the mask. Thank you for watching!
