This is where the car first gets better than when it left the factory; the finish is far better and the paint shop at Maranello wouldn't have applied clear coat. Of course you can't get away with that with modern water-based paint. Wow is right!
Dude those MOMO star mags .. are the bomb... easily 3 to 4 K on the open market an no longer manufactured .. stay OEM and keep those for the occasional show or cars and coffee :-)

The paint is absolutely beautiful! What a great paint shop! I love the red but if I ever get a Ferrari I will piss a ton of people off and paint it the kinda knew color that Tavarish kinda created the Tempist Blue he put on his McClaren. That is a beautiful blue. 👍
Always exciting to see the paint go on and they appeared to do a nice job with all of the prep. As for the black areas, it would be good to research how the cars were done originally and what you would like to have. The way it was before you started was different to original so that is a bad reference. Note also that the earlier GTS cars had the A pillars in black while the later ones had them in red which is a popular upgrade among early GTS owners.
That's a beautiful job. Love his pride in workmanship... caring even about the areas that won't be seen. If I may ask, what paint system was used? Re those BB rims... an excuse for that vapor blaster right? huh? *lol* Any luck on that wiring harness?
About the strobing effect....when playing at normal speed, the lights in the painting booth still change colors. Do the lights in a painting facility do this on purpose so you can see what you’re painting under different kinds of light? I have a workbench light that can do that
The beltline is actually just black tape from the factory. Mine still had tape even after a previous owners not so great repaint of the black car to resale red on the upper half.
Dumb question but how do you get the Ferrari red color? Is it mixed in the shop using some sort of Pantone color match or bought from a supplier like PPG?
are you going to paint the windscreen surround black and the forward pillars of the rear quarter light /grilles, ..please do, it is original spec and looks so much better that way.

My guess: $5-15k depending on how much prep and disassembly work you make the painter do versus doing that yourself. Disassembly and prep aren’t rocket science. You can save a lot by doing most of that yourself. It’s difficult to tell from this video, but I would say this is a very, very skilled painter working in a shop that charges reasonable prices, judging by the appearance of his shop. Some places would probably charge you double what this guy charges, for the same results. Those expensive shops would have F40s and Carerra GTs lying around, but may well get results that aren’t any better than this guy. 7:20 that mirror finish doesn’t just come out of the gun easy peasy. I know. This guy has skillz.
I’m painting my Alfa Romeo Spider in my garage as we speak. When your project’s done we can compare results. That should take me down a notch or three.

not intentional. I believe it has more to do with 60 cycle electrical.

PPG red paint code FER300. Lawrence orders it from his supplier according to the paint code.

Depends on many factors that are unique to each car. But it will hurt, no doubt.
My guess: $5-15k depending on how much prep and disassembly work you make the painter do versus doing that yourself.
Disassembly and prep aren’t rocket science. You can save a lot by doing most of that yourself.
It’s difficult to tell from this video, but I would say this is a very, very skilled painter working in a shop that charges reasonable prices, judging by the appearance of his shop. Some places would probably charge you double what this guy charges, for the same results. and the later 16' are too big for the car
