what a beautiful video. Simon is a fantastic boy. Very engaging and truly respectful, the apron was perfect. The trains are absolutely gorgeous in a perfectly kept setting. Mr. Spoerer is a most generous host, Thank you for a heartwarming video. All the best to you Simon.
Another train tastic video Simon, good on you mate! I wish I could have a garden railway like that some day. I did see one of Peter Spoerer's videos on his youtube channel about his white horse model railway, which was converting an Ivor the Engine money box into a gauge 1 battery powered locomotive. If you don't know what Ivor the Engine is, it is basically an animated tv series that depicts the story of a small locomotive in wales who wants to sing in the local quior, his dream is realized when he is fitted with three organ pipes in place of his whistle. If you haven't seen an episode I highly recommend it. How is it that a lot of people are able to build beautifully custom built model locomotives and rolling stock so quickly? Is that Southern Railways Q1 made out of brass? And that Winston Churchill locomotive is so majestic to that of the original which is now part of the National Railway Museum/Locomotion museum in York and Shildon respectively. so good to see that you are having so much fun playing trains. Keep it up
Thanks! Yes we've seen Peter's Ivor video and in fact that was how we first discovered his channel when searching for Ivor on TH-cam. Simon was able to play with that very model the first time we visited Peter. You can see that on Peter's channel here: th-cam.com/video/doNqcjVU7Vw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=l3bNBhfrTyFbA5p- Peter is a very skilled man with a very well resourced workshop! Yes the Q1 is brass. Peter is reluctant to paint it as it looks great as it is!
I think Simon was 4 when we first visited the White Horse Railway, back in 2020, although our first video was from our second visit in 2021. We have been twice more since then, and visiting Peter has been a real highlight of our summer. Thanks for watching.

What a lovely comment, thanks very much! We think he's fantastic too!
Fantastic to see younger people involved. And great that someone had the time like I had.
Model railways are a truly inter-generational hobby, and that’s what our TH-cam channel is all about! Thanks for watching.
