- This version of the CDC & Elk also uses razor foam for the body. While it's not required, it helps the body float with the lack of hackle on the body. The CDC wing can also be tied in using 2 or 3 CDC feather tips to get the same effect. Vary the colors to get the color you need.

Interesting tie. I'll need to give it a try the upcoming season. Thanks for posting.

Thanks for watching!
Slay 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks man!
That technique though! Mind blown on the CDC application.
It’s a neat little trick! That tool is a good one to have. It’s not used a lot but when I need it, it’s great.
Narrative in my head while the music plays. “Oh baby, that foam looks good. Mmmm, the way that hair stacks is outta this world. Oh baby, this fly is all you need. Come to papa.”
You need help.
Haaa!!! That's pretty...ummmm, Yeah, funny!
masterful! I like the final re-wraps through the hair with the GSP. That's a bullet-proof fly. A question for you about the fly, Juan: is it a drawback that you can't use regular floatant? Any rationale to use EP fibers or Z-lon for a similar underwing?
Thank you. It’s a very durable fly.
As for treating the fly, I am not sure what you consider regular floatant but I have no problem dunking this into a bottle of Loon Fly Dip and letting it dry and watching it float forever or at least until a fish eats it! I’d recommend Fly Dip as it’s way better than anything else I’ve used.
