One of the greatest shows of all time.Jose was a key west legend.
He certainly helped pioneer light tackle sport fishing in its hayday of fishing.
Major Respect!
Miss him
Me too! -Krissy Wejebe
@@Spanishflytv I still have our recorded conversations as an air traffic controller when he was flying through my Orlando Airspace which included Merritt Island. I have to find it and listen to again one day.
I learned to tie the Bimini twist from a video Jose made sitting on a sea wall. Tied it that way for many years. I can't go out the Barron River without thinking of him.
Jose Wejebe is surely missed. Gone too soon. Spanish Fly made my Saturday mornings. This is one of the great waterman and fishermen of my generation. Rest in Paradise Mr. Wejebe. When I land a 100+ pound tarpon, I'll think of you with gratitude.
“Could be these guys…..which I use a lot” with a wink. Pure Jose. This originally aired in the 90’s I’m pretty sure. It was an inspiration to me. I saw this and said “that’s what I want to do”. And I did. God bless you Jose.
This episode has to be from 2003 or later. That Shimano Baitrunner came out in 2003 unless I am mistaken. Unless it's the 6500A but I think that's the 6500B.
@@slimmdogg47 Good point! I actually think the bait catching video is older than the fishing video.
This is the second episode of the first season which aired in 1995.
@@Spanishflytv 👍👍👍

Show is at least 25 years old??
