Glad to see the van getting used and the family at the track 👍 I built a car in the 90's and raced it 2000 miles across Mexico in the Carrera Panamericana Rally several times and I learned the difference between stressing to make perfect possibly race winning runs on roadway I had never been on before compared to simply enjoying the entire experience. I never perfected my driving or just enjoying how things happened but it was always a better time when I didn't put so much physical and mental effort into getting the fastest times and finishing towards the top. Your there and competing in something you built with your own hands and mind. Relax and enjoy it ......
It was awesome to see the car in person after watching you build it, unfortunately I didn’t seem to be in the right place at the right time to meet you 😂 maybe next year 👍
Brands Hatch is my 'local' (1 hour) track - might have to mosey on up there. Superb to see you and yours enjoying the fruits of your labour chap - inspirational - life goals right there fella!
I race a pre 1966 historic touring car and the best brake pads turned out to be just fast road pads, race pads were too aggressive for the skinny historic crossply tyres. Sometimes less is more.
Having done many Sprints and Hillclimbs I recommend Ferodo DS2500 Pads, High performance track day compound. They warm on the first brake and then bite well on the second application.
Snap! I run DS2500s on my daily E36 BMW. They warm up quick and work for fast road use. I also use the car for towing a twin axle car transporter trailer + race cars. They're a good all round pad and seem to last pretty well too.
You will love time attack.Jave a friend who raced in it for a couple of years . Well run and everyone's friendly . Reasonable amount of track time too.
I randomly was looking at Hill Climb Monsters' channel at the live stream, and suddenly a very familiar car showed up, I did not expect to actually recognize any of the cars. :P
first time out you already saw why traveling in a motorhome is better. so much more comfy while you are stuck in traffic jam. fridge is right there.....
@@Urchfab well, there is a quick fix for that as well. get a BIIIG cooler, here in the US we get them big enough to plop 40 pounds of ice inside. this will keep your beverages and such cold for days. and you can put it outside, which frees up room inside. win win.
I find it an insult to you, in what you have built and are passionate about, when a silly TH-cam advert about an electric car; which is not in the UK, is the best TH-cam can offer with their stupid advertisements in-between your excellent videos. Glad to get that out in the open!
Awesome, and great the family got to use the van to be with you 👍🏽
Saw a glimpse of you on Driftworks’ channel.
Came here to say that.
It was ripping too !
Speeding into the distance.
@@Whateverpoopiepantsditto your comment. Very interesting to hear how two pretty handy drivers found the format of the first day tricky!
Same
Oooh I will have look!
Love the squishy pea! So cool! Good luck on your driving progress…👍👍 Cheers from So. Oregon USA!

Indeed, the driving is just a small part of it. I'm not mega competitive so as long as I see progression, I'm happy. Cheers
Was great to meet you Matt. You will feel extremely welcome in the Time Attack Paddock!
Looking forward to it mate

Your Sunday driving was fun to watch and I am looking forward to seeing more of you wringing out your builds.
Thanks 👍

This is such a brilliant channel. You sure are a talented bloke.
The little pea looked impressive!
Looked like you enjoyed yourself...Nice to see you in the midlands.
Yep, 'fun' is what it's all about....nothing else matters!!
Brilliant Urch chase the fever!
The Pea looked great. For not knowing the circuit, you did really well. The car sponsorship thing sounds great.
Cheers
That was a great day .

Result!
I got to see the car came over to say hi but couldn't see you about
Car sound great on the straight 👌
Catch you next time bud.
Saw you and the pea there, posted a couple of photos of you and the pea on your FB chat.
Good to see you out and about in her mate
Dig your channel and love the 100E, have you ever considered building a locost, would be great to see someone with your skills blog the build.
Its not something I've looked at to be honest mate. They look fun to drive though. Cheers
Hi, Matt!! That build came out so awesome! 😍🤩🚗
Cheers
Mushy Pea made a showing in a video by DH Adventures ( aka THE DOGHOUSE custom cycle builder). Sweet!!!
That was a shame about the hold up. But I hope that you and the family had a good weeked.

I don't have a fridge yet. Haha

Hello.
Your front drivers tyre has the tread backwards. Will be sketchy in the wet. :)
He's bitten by the RACING BUG.
Great
bet still nice get out on track.
Passed you on m5 about 7pm
Spoke to someone else there who had the same issue getting there!
I thought i spotted your car in one of the fly by clips from the driftworks channel..
Any plans on getting the cutie on the road?
You are in the same area as Delboy’s Garage, TH-camr.
i thought you were going to put the patrons' names who helped with the build
They're on the back window where they will always be.
Hopefully it didn’t take you as long to get home as it did to get there Matt. 😢
No mate, sailed home in good time. Cheers
your stering wheel is on the wrong side. (for me)
cross your eyes, best of both worlds 😆

Are you ever going to actually race the car or are you just going to pootle about in it. This channel is getting to be very disappointing.
Would you like some Cheese with that Whine ?
Matt competed in an event in this video and is competing in the UKTA Series in September? Pretty clear cut in the video...
😀👍👍👍
