    Angela in which months are the vines flowering for you ? Temperature range ? And what fertilizer are you using ? Just stunning . 💗
    I have this vine growing too for my stingless bees , had occasional flowering, nothing like yours .

      Late September and October are the best months for flowering. It's still hot, but not quite as hot. It blooms and looks good until temperatures fall in late November or December. No fertilizer, it doesn't need it.

    Woww this is sooo beautiful 😍😍 How this plant is propagated?

    • @GrowingInTheGarden
      @GrowingInTheGarden  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      By seed, by cuttings, and it spreads underground. It can be invasive in less dry climates.

      By seeds.

    If I built a pergola over a walkway attached to a wall will this grow in full angry sun? Hoping to protect my master bedroom from the southern exposure. We planted one tree (pistache) and hope to plant another (ficus nítida) but I want more shade there too. Thanks for your help.

      It loves full angry sun. It's a great plant. It does die back in the cool weather (cut it back after frost) and it comes back in force each year. growinginthegarden.com/how-to-grow-coral-vine-growing-queens-wreath/

    Any thoughts on how this will do in a medium sized container?

    • @GrowingInTheGarden
      @GrowingInTheGarden  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I haven't grown it in a container, hard to say. My guess is it would be ok, but happier in the ground.

    Do the blossoms shed all over like bougainvillea?

    • @GrowingInTheGarden
      @GrowingInTheGarden  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just for that month or two when they are in full bloom.

    Where can I get coral vine? Does it come in send packets or starts at the nursery?

    • @GrowingInTheGarden
      @GrowingInTheGarden  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can start from seed, but I've most often seen it started from transplants from the nursery.

    Gorgeous! Can they be planted from seed?

    • @Cookiejug1
      @Cookiejug1 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes but the seeds I've done it from take about 6 weeks to germinate. I didn't striate them or soak them though just put them between wet paper towels.

    • @GrowingInTheGarden
      @GrowingInTheGarden  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The seeds take a long time to germinate, but yes it can.

      They don't require any. Coral vine grows in my native unamended soil.
