yes he did him and Jeff Rocked i was fortunate to grow up in the bay area where they're from and got to see them when not out on tour I seen them open for Sammy Hagar in 79 and 83 in 79 they were just called Ranger they hadn't added "Night" yet I was 14 in 79 don't recall their set the 83 show I remember because I was familiar with their album then

@@rayfabris2512 Did they sound heavier in concert, if you can remember? With those two ace guitarists (people sleep on Jeff, but that dude could shred!) my main hope for Night Ranger going forward is that rock fans appreciate all the new music they've put out, and it's not just something fresh and current, their most current albums are excellent! Brad tearing it up with Ozzy after Randy Rhoads tragedy is one of my all time favorite rock music happenings.....I just thrive on that Speak Of The Devil album!🎸

I was lucky enough to have Brad as a client via Gibson Guitars; signed him to an acoustic guitar deal. I got to visit his house, where he had a studio, and in general, he was great to deal with. Also have interviewed him a few times for Reality Check TV. A class act and a great guitarist.

Great show. I was in South Lake Tahoe years ago at Sammy’s bar. Some band was playing covers then out of nowhere Brad gets on stage and rips the roof off the place for a few songs. Volume was through the roof. Totally awesome.

How he was able to step over to his Ozzy time and Really was Happy he went back to one of my Favorite Bands Night Ranger not included to Hair Metal they were before and the connections from Sammy Hagar which was my Rock Hero from Montrose but I just Really Loved His Live Album All Night Long and Seeing him now 28 times with all his side Bands so from the Standing Hampton tour and Night Ranger was Perfect fit then 3 Lock Box and what was another Geffen artist Quarter Flash and Night Ranger and Sammy Hagar but my introduction to Brad Gills at a Texxas Jam with some other Great Bands my summer vacation destination The Texxas Jams out of the 10 years I went to 9 Jams first 1979 I was 16 and had 3 Friends and 2nd car 2 brothers and friends Gas shortage days we were 2 hours from Dallas and TKO started at 11:30AM Sammy Hagar Street Machines tour Nazareth was next then Van Halen VH 2 tour Boston was So Good Heart were Great and we started to find the rest of our group at 2:50 AM next morning Blue Oyster Cult still playing we were on field 25 yard line and from there could not probably get back so that many hours and ticket prices $15.00 Wow but when Brad Gills talks about the Bands connection with Gary Phil from Sammy and keyboards AlannFitz. From Ronnie Montrose and Gama and how he hooks up with Jeff Watson was working at a really popular Guitars and keyboards and heard him in a interview talking about how he cold called Hagar telling him he would be a Better Guitar Player I forgot name of Hagar’s Guitar player not Gary but these were my Rock Heroes from 1977 to present I have gotten to go to well I am with in a couple of of concerts of having gone to 700 concerts and so many Bands multiple times Night Ranger I remember Eddie Trunk Loving the 2 Guitar Players just Amazing album Man in Motion Shows Guitars in sink! I could ramble about getting to grow up in The Greatest Rock Bands Musicians and Songs hearing Brad talking about The Stars ProjectI just watch that Documentary and how Vivian Campbell and Jimmy Bain they had to to keep pitching it to Ronnie who was separated from Wendy and I am So Blown Away with Vivian Campbell who trough a Amazing Guitar Builder and has my Great Friend and his friendship with Vivian I got to know and spend time with him and what is funny I always thought of my Rock Guitar Hero’s were older but I am 2 weeks older than Vivian hey I just have to say this about all 3 of Y’all were Awesome on Metal show and I am always watching for Eddie and when the 3 of You are doing videos like these are Great I did want to see Brad Gillis talk about the Cd Little Guitars and his Unbelievable Guitar playing on Atomic Punk Wow but all You Guy’s are Great! I was never really a Night Ranger fan. They (and other like Lion) came across as shmaltzy pop rock that was also largely disjointed with rather forgettable songs. The keyboards seemed to try to fit in with the 80's pop new wave thing at the time. In essence they were B movie stars in rock terms. Having said that, they may simply have appealed more to a strictly American culture.
I listened to all of the picks and only Night Ranger and Touch Of Madness had any real resonance. Sister Christian,
Sing Me Away and Don't Tell Me You Love Me had their moments but ultimately didn't stand out.
However, Eddies mention of Tell your vision was a different story altogether. Now that really does rock and it will inspire me to look at more releases in recent times because if that is the standard then that gets my ears listening and foot tapping.
Brad Gillis does come to the fore of my mind though when I think of the day that I purchased the newly released Ozzy Osbourne's first live album, Talk of the Devil (Speak of the Devil in the US), a collection of Sabbath tunes recorded at the Ritz in New York. I was blown away by the whole performance. Brad was that good that it wasn't until I read the sleeve notes that I realised that I was not listening to Iommi. He certainly got my attention that day way back when.
Having watched Brad play live on many YT clips I would say that he is a consummate guitar player and never seems to put a foot wrong, which is a big thing in my music world. So hats off to him in one form or another and had he been in a bigger band, worldwide speaking, I fee sure that his name would come up more often when talking about great guitarists.

    6) Sentimental Street 5) Sister Christian 4) Rumors In The Air 3) Don't Tell Me You Love Me 2) You Can Still Rock in America 1) When You Close Your Eyes
Ed is correct about When You Close Your Eyes. If anybody can listen to that and not feel great afterward, there's something wrong with you.

Zack did a lot of records, but I couldn't name as many songs as I can with Jake. The later Ozzy albums just aren't good. Jake is the man.
Also the heavy chorus on the Zack's tone, while it differentiated him from the Randy tone, it gets old for me.

Comparing those two isn't fair. Jake is one of the most important foundational 80s shredders; I'd consider him, DeMartini and Lynch a sort of holy trinity in the early wake of EVH. Zakk is from the next generation, along with Nuno, Reb Beach and Vito Bratta, et alia. Both guitarists have two good Ozzy records to my ear (Zakk's being his first two), and the first Red Dragon Cartel record sounds like it could've been the coolest Ozzy record since No More Tears to me. Jake is wildly creative, just a super unique and radical player. Zakk on the No Rest for the Wicked tour was my first rock concert. Love them both, but Jake is more mindblowing, and ground zero for the form.

Gee, Don throwing shade. I believe that Kix is sincere. If Steve wants to end it, then it should end. I don't think that they want to be a joke. Also, Eddie was incorrect. Both Styx and Tommy solo did records with orchestras. Styx's album even has a new song on their album called Just Be. I pick Zak. Mr. Tindertrain on No More Tears is creepy. I also dig Road To Nowhere.

I keep thinking that Eddie will see enough of these comments about his ego and take a moral inventory of himself, maybe show a little more confidence in his work! It's a fact that people who self inflate their own worth are actually quite insecure about themselves and their standing in society. It's amazing to me that Eddie can't just let all his success speak for itself, the man is one of the most prominent spokesmen for hard rock and heavy metal on the friggin' planet. He rubs elbows with legends, constantly, so he should just relax and let his career speak for itself! People are strange, man!
