- In this last video of the series we want to leave a kind of reflection, if not profound, at least superficial, that which emerges not from books but from what one sees when traveling.
Türkiye is not considered a Western country in geographical or cultural terms. Turkey is located mostly in Western Asia and a small part in Eastern Europe, due to its strategic location on two continents and its largest city, Istanbul, which lies on both sides of the Bosphorus. However, most of its territory is in Asia.
We see that, culturally, Turkey is a country with a rich heritage and influence of many civilizations, including the Greek, Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman. Its culture and society are a melting pot of Asian and European elements, which gives it a unique identity.
Politically, Turkey is often considered a transcontinental nation due to its location on the border between Europe and Asia. Their form of government, their leadership and policies must be understood under this perspective.
In terms of politics and economy, Turkey has sought a close relationship with the West and has been a member of NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) since 1952. However, its relations with Russia have never been less.
Turkey is located in a unique geographical and cultural location that places it at the crossroads between East and West, and its identity and international relations reflect this strategic position.
It has also maintained commercial and political relations with European countries and is a potential candidate for accession to the European Union, although the accession negotiations have progressed slowly, if you think that here you are going to feel like in Europe you are wrong, but if you think that You're going to feel very far away, too.
It is likely that Turkey will continue on its path without turning towards one side or the other. In one of the videos we have said that Istanbul is the true navel of the world, it is in the middle of everything and there are reasons to feel that it will continue to be so.
Although millions of Turks have emigrated and will continue to emigrate, and many other peoples have come and will continue to come here, Turkey will not go anywhere, it will remain Turkey.
This is our humble reflection, coming here is only the first chapter, the country is so large and enriching that it deserves many other visits.

Svidio mi se vaš serijal iz Turske. 👍 Svakako velika zemlja koju se može posjetiti više puta i otkrivati nova mjesta i zanimljivosti. Meni Turska izgleda kao zemlja koja nikad ne može dosaditi. U hrvatskom jeziku postoji jako puno turcizama. (usvojenica preuzetih iz turskog jezika) Turski jezik je utjecao na sve jezike prostora na kojem se rasprostiralo Osmansko carstvo. Puno puta sam bio u Bosni i Hercegovini. Tamo je kompletna turska ostavština, ne samo jezik zadržana do danas, a to ste ti i Dace vidjeli kad ste ju posjetili.

Este tipo de preguntas realmente me cabrearon porque esta cultura pertenece a la cultura árabe y hay series de televisión turcas en muchos países de América Latina, aunque surgen preguntas de este tipo.

Thanks for the nice and objective video. Actually Turkish people are not much different than a latin country. As you are showing off some touristic areas in Istanbul, most people are tourists from Arab countries. In the last decade, trade and touristic relations with middle east increased as the relations with European countries are not in a good condition. And most of the small shopkeepers are migrant people from the east of the country.

Soy turco y como turco puedo decir que puedes encontrar fácilmente algo de todas las culturas en Turkiye, de oeste a este, de norte a sur. porque muchos imperios habían vivido aquí en esta geografía. no importa de donde seas. Puedes encontrar algo de tu cultura aquí.

M.S. 1200 yıllarında Harezm'li Türkistan'lı Türk Cebir'i bulmasa idi Avrupa hâlâ Öklit Geonetri'sinde pergelle çember çizip cetvel ile teyet çiziyor olur idi. Avrupa bunu Türklere dyzenledikleri ve yenildikleri Haçlı seferleri sırasında öğrendi. Hazmetmeleri 400 yıl sürdü.
Birden Rene Descartes diye birini piyasaya sürdüler.
İbni Sina Tıbbın hükümdarı olarak bilinir. Galen ve Hipokrat öğrencisi gibi eski kitaplarda resmedilir. İbni Sina dan ise başında Taç Tıbbın hükümdarı diye kitaplarda yer alır.
Avrupa hem hırsız,hem barbardır.. Şu ana kadar yaptıkları doykırmlarda 50 milyon insandan fazla kişiyi katlettiler. Bunlara destek verenler Polonya civarından İspanya civarından gelip ülkemizde müslüman gibi yaşayıp gerçekte yahudi olanlardır. Türklerle bir alakaları yoktur.

You made a comment that you thought the Arab and Middle Eastern tourists who flocked to Turkey were Turkish. In this context, I recommend you to visit cities such as Izmir, Ankara,Antalya,Mersin, Adana. Maybe then you can choose the Turks more comfortably. You still think we're riding camels. Camels do not exist in Turkish culture. Also, unlike the Turks you see in the EU, most of the Turks living in Turkey are secular and modern. Anyway, you'll learn gradually.

We just don't wanna to join EU, as you see the Turkish lifestyle is already European. I don't wanna talk about politics or we are European or not but, I just wanna say our people has good hearth, smart and hardworker. Eventhough economy is not so cool of theese times, young generation gives the hope to everybody for future which is fascinating. Enjoy your visiting and eat Lahmacun and some other Turkish great food more. Because you gonna %100 miss it.

Yo he visitado Turquía 2 veces y me encanto, tiene esa mezcla de Europa y asia y medio oriente, su población mayoritariamente musulmana, con sus bazares, mezquitas y ruinas griegas y romanas como la antigua Efesios etc 👍

Since 2016, I have been going to Turkey for my job and staying for a month and a half. As far as I can see; There is intense pressure being exerted by the Government to change the comfortable and secular lifestyle in the country. Especially in the last year, a very intense effort has been made to direct the country's agenda in the way the conservative segment wants, through television channels and social media accounts. Therefore, an artificial agenda emerges that is disconnected from the agenda and is not compatible with the people's agenda. And the interesting thing is that this pressure also develops a counter reaction among the Turks. For example, an incredible hostility towards Arabs has begun. I really cannot understand how the government cannot understand this. Just because of this pressure, people are alienated from religion and moving away from Arabs. In other words, a mass is being formed that is exactly the opposite of what the government wants. I don't know where this will end. But I don't think this will end well at all. It seems to me that conflict will break out eventually. I am amazed at how such a beautiful country is dragged into darkness step by step.

Turkey as land is not divided, but the people are divided. 50% arabized "Turks" and 50% modern real Turks.
@@theex-muslim2444 I met many Arabs. Arabs are a very different nation. That is, according to the Turks. I don't know what is meant by Arabization, but I have seen very few Turks who look like Arabs. I guess they were also religious ones. Because they dressed differently than everyone else. In fact, I think there are more secular people than conservative people in Turkey. Since Erdoğan could not overcome this, he started importing Arab voters. This is one of the things that makes Turks angry the most. These things are very complicated and after a while, these types of events go beyond my perception :)
