LMAO, as a Tunisian Last time i used the Train is around 10 - 12 years ago, don't even remember, but they were so clean around 15 years ago, people started destroying the train every time they take it, and the government never fixes anything after 2 - 3 years the train conditions went super super bad and i quit using the train sense than. Looking at what horrible it went now, is just crazy!
The sweet you had at the beginning of the video is called "Kaak Warqa" it is originally from the city of Zaghouan near Tunis (it has cool roman ruins too and it was rebuilt by Moriscos and has the best Kaak Warqa). My Morisco grandma is from there and she told me the history of the Kaak Warqa as it was told to her by her ancestors who came to Tunisia in the 17th century! It was created by Andalusian refugees who used these cakes to hide their bracelets and jewelry inside of them, so that the Spaniards do not steal them while they were getting expulsed from Spain! By the way, they use "Nessri flower water", it's a type of Rose specific to Zaghouan.
Been to djerba Tunisia and it was absolutely amazing I loved it, I’ll be definitely going back, we got of the plane at 1.30 in the morning and it was 39 degrees, making want to pack my suitcase right now and get on the plane.

My friend, You really had missunderstood that guy with the coffee at his hand. He wanted you to give him something to eat but he had some difficulties to explain to you his request. He coulden't express well himself in english as he does not knows many words in your mother language, but what he wanted to say to both of you is that he wants to comeback to his home with something to eat . He said " eat for home" and he meaned by that " I need food to take with me to where I live becauseI have nothing to eat there". Then he tried to explain better to you his request by telling you name of some foods: Kebab, Pizza ... He did not wanted specially a Pizza or a sandwich of Kebab but he wanted any food to eat. He just mentionated names of foond known on international level like Pizza and Kebab as he thinked that you don't know Tunisian food. The cup of coffee in his hand has been for sure offred to him by somone who knews that this poor guy had the stomach empty. That cup of coffeee is an offred breakfast to him but it was not enought to give him satiety. He does not looks well but is not a dangerous guy or a tourist scammer or sexual pervert.... He did not meaned to be rude to your girlfriend and to you, and the proove is that he went and leaved you alone when you asked him to leave. He did not insulted or acted bad when you asked him to leave you. he was just hungry and he wanted to comeback to his place with something to eat. Sure he is not living in that area near to the kolizuim, he was roading there asking for food and once he gets his food he comes back to his place. The police does not leaves people like him hanging around there in the downtown
I think you are mistaken about the use of the colosseum. Didn’t you see the cricket pitch down the middle? Also used for the England v Tunisia football final 24AD. “It’s coming home”. Too soon?
26:55 , , u see prices change from one place to another! see thats a good coffee and great view so IRizWhariRiz, there's places in Tunis the capital where Expresso is 6DT so anyways i just wanna say he is not trying to scam u he is honest and every one there where its a tunisian or a tourist he pays the same price ...its a bit high yeah!
What is rarely mentioned, especially by politicians, is that Tunisia has the second-highest number of Roman archaeological sites in the world. Why? Because Tunisia rapidly adopted Roman civilization, building on its pre-existing advanced civilization, Carthage, which bore similarities to Rome. Additionally, Tunisia experienced significant Italian immigration during the first centuries AD, as early Italian Christians fled the persecution of the emperor. In reality, Tunisians are somewhat Italian; they spoke a Latin language until the 14th century called African Latin.
Really appreciate it thanks. People seem to all go to Morocco instead even thought it's probably 10x scammier. Tunisians we're honest pretty much everywhere we went apart from Sousse! We loved it

Ps: the Gabes-Tunis train, once it took me 14 hours to get to tunis 😂 only students and ultras groups take it cuz its cheap and u can get away without paying and some people take it when there is no louage 🤷
ahaha 14 hours wow! It is what it is, was good fun hanging out the door watching the scenery go by! Have an amazing weekend my friend
You should visit Sousse again, it is very beautiful
But try to stay somewhere better
Our hotel was fine, Sousse was just horrible all over. Off camera we went to the nicer parts which were still awful.
@@EllisWR You can't have a good time in Sousse in a cheap hostel with two dollars in your pocket
Sousse is not like the rest of Tunisia
@@Barra.brava.01 Terrible place then. A hotel is a place to sleep why would I waste money on an expensive hotel, couldn't think of anything worse than sitting in a hotel and not going out doing something.
Boring place for boring people.
I like the way how you get used to our country 😂
Enjoy your Time and yes it’s really underrated , Tunisia deserve better rate
Love it
Try to go to gabes on autumn because is very hot on the summer and taste the juice who names "legmi" ❤
Yes!!
He was awful and said lots of weird stuff before turned camera on. Would not be giving him anything
I think you are mistaken about the use of the colosseum. Didn’t you see the cricket pitch down the middle? Also used for the England v Tunisia football final 24AD. “It’s coming home”. Too soon?
Thank you for these insights, professor.
Ey pack it in!!
Yeah thats why we had a laugh, if he said it was still 5 each we would leave. Everyone else was not paying 5 by the way.
@@EllisWR anyways yeah we get scammed too sometimes 😅
24:00 kebab pizza 🤣🤣🤣🤣 we sorry men it’s crazy
Thank you ❤
🙏❤️
24:09 I think he was tryna ask you for money to buy food lol
He asked us if we needed the toilet then started saying loads of weird things ahah
I thought he was sexually hareasing Alicia. Didnt like him at all.
Super cool.
I just love your content ! Unfortunately our country is underestimated i'm sure it's due to scammers and the poor services
Really appreciate it thanks. People seem to all go to Morocco instead even thought it's probably 10x scammier.
Tunisians we're honest pretty much everywhere we went apart from Sousse! We loved it
@@EllisWRyou can visit a village called kesra in siliana it's just wonderful with alot of history an nature just amazing try to check
Welcome to Tunisia 🇹🇳
Thanks!
Bruh use "louage" or collective taxi for long distance its best way and faster also with AC
It takes you to all 24 governorates. If you want to take the train you should ask about the time of the trip way before coming
I looked on the train website aha it was incorrect. We take louage they are fantastic, just wanted to try a train journey for fun
Love you guys ❤💙
Love ya too!
