According to the Ministry of Tourism, the city reached the mark of second most desired destination of Brazil and fourth among Brazilian cities in tourists received. The BR-116, the most important highway of the country, starts in Fortaleza. The municipality is part of the Common Market of Mercosur Cities, and also the Brazilian state capital which is closest to Europe, 5,608 kilometres (3,485 mi) from Lisbon, Portugal.

    Hello, my name is Mateus, and I live in Fortaleza, and yes, the Brazilian northeast, it is a very good option for tourism, especially in Fortaleza. It's time for the world to learn that Brazil is not just São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. I recommend getting to know the largest water park in Latin America, Beach Park, is in this city of Fortaleza!

      They are all in the south , right ? How about infrastructure and especially safety in cities in the North East Region ? ( I assume you are brazilian that s why I ' m asking you ) . I have read horrendous things on Fortaleza like more than 11 murders per day in first half of 2015 in the state of Ceará , armed robbery every 11 minutes in the city itself , and increased rate of 309 % of assault / armed robbery on busses in the past 2 years , kidnappings , and so on . But when I look at this video I get a pretty safe vibe , so I don ' t know what to make out of that . Yesterday I saw a similar video like this one but of Maceió . There on that main road next to the beaches were armed police man every few meters and therefore and because of those statistics I read on Fortaleza in my mind I thought to myself if Maceió for example is safer than Fortaleza . But I have never been in Brazil so far so I don' t know . But I am very intrested in the northeast region especially because of weather / tropical climate and beauty of beaches / landscape but safety seems to be a big thing . So yes , since you are probably brazilian maybe you can recommend any cities ( if there are any ) in the north east region with safety like those places you mentionend in your comment . I hope you don ' t mind my long comment . I wish you a nice day .

      @@abc2579 Good evening, good to answer your question about the north of Brazil, but specifically about the city of Fortaleza, I went to the city three times, stayed in three different places, took several tours, visited different beaches and places and I can claim that it was very peaceful and safe. There is strong police in the central area, on beaches, shores and tourist places. The problem is that they told me that it would be dangerous if you venture into certain neighborhoods of the place, but I believe that even in the USA in cities like Los Angeles, Chicago etc; You wouldn't be able to safely visit certain neighborhoods because of the gangs that exist in the regions, but otherwise it's very peaceful and safe, the place is very nice, with good infrastructure and paradisiacal beaches. When I went, I met Germans, Australians, Dutch, etc.; strolling peacefully and enjoying the place in a very relaxed way.

      @pedrofigueredoruiz8655 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@abc2579 Yes, I'm Brazilian, no, not all the beaches I recommended are in the south of the country. Búzios, Cabo Frio, Paraty etc: they are in the state of Rio de Janeiro, but they are very calm and safe, now Rio de Janeiro is the capital, it is in a reality of insecurity even for Brazilians, I have never been there, because cause of this. When I recommended beaches like Florianópolis, Bombinhas Itapema, Camboriú and others in the southeast region like Búzios etc; It's because they are really in a different security situation (very high) and you will hardly see people living on the streets like in other places. As for Maceió and Fortaleza again, yes, they are beautiful places with paradisiacal beaches, where in general the common places tourist centers, etc.; They are very safe and peaceful (you just can't enter any neighborhood unprepared)

Also intresting to hear that there are some europeans in Fortaleza as well . Even Germans ( I am from Germany by the way ) .
      You said , that when you have been in Fortaleza you also visited different places / locations and beaches if I understood it right . Did you go by bus or taxi or uber to those different places ? How about safety in public transportation currently in Fortaleza or in Fortaleza in compariso to those cities you mentioned, do you have any recommendations for that as well ? Internet is good and easy to access. Cost of living varies a lot depending on your lifestyle and the area you live. Safety: the only safe area is that shown in this video. The rest of the city is full of bullshit thieves but most of the time bad things may not happen, depends a lot on the area you are, the time and occasion. If you come, rather walk just in places and streets with other people around and minimum flow of people or commercial places. Empty and dark places are not recommended.

      Yes, there are many blacks and indigenous people in the North and Northeast of Brazil, but in Fortaleza and in the entire state of Ceará there are fewer blacks and indigenous people. Only 5% of Ceará's population is black. Fortaleza is also the city that receives most Europeans and Americans in the Northeast.

    It's not the same Fortaleza. I visited my Brazilian wife (we met at church in MD.) over 20 years ago. Her previous house was located behind the soccer stadium and Fortaleza was just as nice as described in the video. Over 24 years later it is nothing but graffiti and trash. Back then I toured the Mercado Central for handmade goods. Now I don't even want to go inside. (we live comfortably 6 hours away near Jericoacoara)
    Of course somethings never change. Before I met my wife I stayed at my Brazilian 2nd mother`s house in Niteroi (across the bridge in the Fast Five and Fast X movies) I would take the boat across to Rio and hang out with the fellas at the Cafe on Copacabana with the African-American expats watching the woman walk by.
    Somethings change, Somethings stay the same.

    I really wanna watch your shit and support you fam but you gotta fix your camera. The resolution is high but something is giving it a blurry/motion sickness feeling and I think its the refresh rate of this video. Go watch the raw recording and see if it has the same issue. If not then it's something being introduced from the editing output. Make sure your shit is always set to 60fps. If you cannot do 60fps I would lower the resolution or buy better hardware. GL bro!
