Us old timers call those cans of green beans, a number 10 can. And I always buy my green beans in a number 10 can and cook them up with ham hocks and then eat them until they’re coming out my ears. Yum Yum.
We always called them gallon cans. I never did measure though, to see if they held a gallon. I have a can of green beans, that I need to use soon. Maybe I will remember to measure it.

We stopped purchasing most snack food and processed food. It has become to expensive for us. Same with the Costco membership. We are definitely eating a lot less meat and chicken. With rent, utilities, and insurance increases it is getting crazy. I can’t imagine how low income people are surviving. Thank you for taking us shopping and showing us the deals so we can continue to save money.
Costco can be reasonable on an every other year basis. Usually you can get a discounted membership, caveat have to wait a period of time before getting another discounted membership.
A few times a year they have oatmeal at about 30-50% less than Walmart. The rotisserie chicken is well priced. They offer discounted gift cards year round making purchase of non Costco items less expensive. Great for gifts or family use. You have to be self disciplined for Costco to work for you.

Just a warning; Costco salsa is very watery. I would go with the Mateo's for the win. Those spring rolls have also shrunk over time. Those compari tomatoes are AMAZING. They taste so good and sweet like tomatoes should taste. The gold potatoes as well are tasty. Glad your aunt got her cheesecake. Happy New year!

I usually walk away from all stores meat dept, dairy and eggs, and buy anything only when it is on sale. I cannot imagine how folks feed families. Costco whole chicken is a great deal, and I will pick one up this week.
Costco is my favorite as they have more healthy selections, organic, gluten free….

Costco Cheesecake freeze very well. I will buy the big one and individually wrap slices and freeze. That way i can thaw a few for special occasions.... have 3 slices still in my freezer. Yum

Happy New Year Danno & Jess. I like shopping at Costco but only get the organic products or grass fed grass finished meats. Read those labels. Stay away from all the seed oils, natural and artificial flavorings, artificial sweeteners. Those Pretzel crisps are great for dips and have clean ingredients. I noticed in the last couple of weeks they don't have a lot of organic options in the produce area like they used to.
I've never gotten to Costco but was interested because I heard the quality was good and they treat their employees and vendors well.
I am off to out of town for an appointment, and will check out a few different stores. HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Good morning - the prices on the dried fruits is incredible. I think in my area (SE MI) at least, you would be hard pressed to find them cheaper.
Has anyone noticed the difference in their canned chicken. It used to be packed like albacore tuna now it's just bits of chicken floating in 1:57 water.

Love watching even though I rarely go to Costco. Too big for me and if it goes bad its not a bargain.
The caramels are a favorite in my household. We even give them to clients as a treat after their appointments. I hope the price at Costco stays so reasonable.
My son loves Costco. I don't have a membership. Being single I really don't need the bulk items. But, it is a very nice store.

Its just 2 of us but I love going to Costco. I go with my son who has a membership. I don't go as often as he does but I feel I save by buying in bulk. I normally buy can veggies, coffee, cooking oil, toilet paper etc. It really cuts out weekly local grocery shopping for me. I hope you can go with your son sometime and check it out. Happy New Year!!

I have a Costco 10 min away.. very close.. but I saw they raised the membership cost.. So for just hubby and myself I'm sticking to my 2 local grocery stores. Because They have red sale stickers and store sales. BUT for a family, I raised 3 kids, so 4 gal of milk was a regular purchase when I was struggling to feed them. With RFK MAGA I wonder if Costco has healthy snack options? The dried cherries might be healthy, but seeing the ingredients would help.

Never had Mateo's salsa either, but it's $5.79 at Kroger for only 16 oz. Steal for $6.99 and 32 oz. Chips and salsa is my weakness.

I just checked my sam's app and beef ribeye steaks are only a penny cheaper at $13.98 but when i was in there i thought it was only $12 something too so maybe they raised them for the holiday? be interesting if they drop back down next week after the new year bs. is over.

@@sandy-001 I wondered how that works, thinking, why he has 50,000 subscribers but usually less than 9,000 views a day, or 50,000 subs. but maybe only a X amount of comments. I wondered what helps the channel more? I leave comments just to try and help the channel, a comment is still a comment I try do something to help the channel. ???
@owlout1 I know it all helps. I didn't seek out this channel a year ago and from what I understand, the likes and comments put channels out in the algorithm but its the views that count for the creator as far as funds. I sub to a few high count sub channels, like 1mil+, but they get 30 to 40,000 views depending on the video content, some are more. That's how I heard it explained. I could be wrong though since I'm older than dirt lol

I wonder if yt provides any benefits for those that claim it as a full time job, though, I watch yt channels that the person has a traditional full time job, I see doctors/ surgeons that do yt channel and videos in addition to working as a surgeon and being on call, so I guess what a full time job to one may not be to another. Thanks for your thoughts.
@owlout1 I don't think Google provides benefits, I think it's more like a creator is a contract employee. Some channels I watch started out with full-time jobs other than yt but quit because of the income yt creates for them. If ppl watch your content, then you can get memberships and sponsorships on top of ad cents. My husband has a few doctors he watches, and I'm sure they do very well on yt. I don't think it's easy at all though. Happy New Year!
