      @@Elena-cv8hm Hi Elena. Unfortunately that is true and that mosque is still in very bad condition. Greek authorities do not let Turkey to restorate it. Because it is in Rhodes i would like to visit and record there very much. Now i only ask you guys to pick a place from Istanbul. Thank you.

      @@imanh9193 Yes, we were everywhere, at the Topkapi Palace, at the Hagia Sophia, at the Blue Mosque, at the tomb of Sultan Ahmed and some other sultans, at the Hippodrome, at the Cistern Art Gallery, at the Archaeological Museum, at the Museum of Islamic and Turkish Art, at the Mosaic Museum, at the Suleyman pasha mosque, at the Rüstem pasha mosque, at the Grand Bazaar, and at the Egyptian Bazaar at the Galata Tower and we were on a Bosphorus boat trip. And we ate very delicious food and Turkish sweets. However, we didn’t see a lot of things we wanted to see yet, e.g. the Dolmabahce Palace, the Yedikule or the Taksim Square, or the Balat and we forgot to visit the tomb of Sinan pasha, but we will do it next time. The Turkish people are great people and I am very grateful to have seen this wonderful city. I hope not for the last time.

¡Saludos!

      Hi King E. They all burried underground and they made the tomb on the grave. So the coffin we see on the video are actually empty. Real body is burried underneath the coffins. And an interesting information about Sultan Suleiman The Magnificent is we know his exact height. So how do we know ? His robe (kaftan) is displayed in Topkapi Palace and according to his robe, his height is around 180 CM (5'10"). His skin is not dark coloured.

      @@zackking1410 Actually no. They are burried to two seperate tombs. They are like 10 meter (30 feet) away but they are seperate. The reason is the power of Hurrem Sultan. She was such a powerfull lady that she thought she definetely needs a seperate tomb. If she was burried with Suleiman The Magnificent she will be burried beside him which she did not want.

    Hi. I never knew of this story as I am way far from this culture, civilisation and probably did not affect one bit my ancestral history but am realy fascinated. So please tell me, was The Sultan Soleiman the last one? If not why is his tomb more revered? It's been only about 500years is Turkey now a democratic nation with a president? Thanks.

    • @montihaha8231
      @montihaha8231 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      No, Suleiman wasn't the last one but he was the best and most powerful sultan which is why he was named Suleiman the Magnificent. And yes Turkey is now a democratic nation with a president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. I recommend you watch a tv drama series called Suleiman the Magnificent, based on him falling in love with a slave named Alexandra who later became very powerful Hurrem sultan, fighting her enemies to save her childrens lives and put one of her sons the Ottoman throne. It's very interesting, based on a true story. :)
