This reminds me of the Sizzix Sidekick I used to have but much better. I got rid of my Sidekick because the getting it to stick and unstick was annoying and also just a bit too small. That little switch is great! I currently have the Stampin Up mini an really love it. It's similar to the Spellbinders you returned but I have had no issues. I like that the plates are just slightly bigger. I think with the Mini Evolution it's just aa bit too small. The Sidekick was a bit too small for me as well. Very happy with the SU one.

Oooh. The embossing folder reminds me of the coveted thrift find of Swiss dot. Or dotted Swiss fabric! Love! 💕 and chevron pattern is cool too! I’ve recently seen a tutorial using a stamp pad directly covering stamp inking the inside of the embossing folder, then placing white paper inside embossing folder. The pattern is colored and embossed at the same time! Then you can add a pretty picture card on top of it and zuz up the edges. OR I saw the stamp pad rubbed on the embossed paper afterward and it also highlighted the embossing nicely. Use any color stamp pad you wish ❤ have a wonderful day my friend. The Diamond Press Marquis is great. It uses a folder system not plates. It looks like a blank embossing folder.
