    What an awesome Grand Finale to a spectacular, well-done miniseries about Norway! I truly enjoyed the entire miniseries and was awe struck and astounded the duration of the trip! My sincere thanks is extended to you, Simon and Will, for allowing me to join you and your family members on such an outstanding Norwegian excursion! Visiting Norway is now on my bucket list, and I look forward to one day making the journey. Til the next time........

    I visited Bergen back in August 2022 and it is so beautiful - have to say my favourite place in Norway was Stravanger though, there was so much to do. Really wish we'd been able to stop at Oslo but that's something to look forward to. Thanks for capturing the beautiful, peaceful scenery.

    I really enjoyed this series. It was very special to have a 'personal tour' of the country of my ancestors. I can see why Wisconsin felt like home to them, even if the mountains aren't nearly as high. The scenery in Norway is incredible, and you always find the best views to share with us. Happy you had some good sunny days. See you soon!

    The Bryggen Unesco World Heritage Site was very unique. The view from the Florence Mountain with the city below nestled amongst the surrounding landscape was nothing short of breathtaking, as was the Parliament Buildings in Oslo. That train ride was definitely a must. Thank you Simon and Will for this introduction to Norway. Very beautiful country. ❤

    Hi, I’m glad to find your canal.
    Something is wrong to my memories from this trip I’ve done it in 2006 or 7 because 97% of the journey was in a succession of tunnels, I barely was able to see any landscape. I still remember that was extremely disappointing ☹️😒🤷

    Did you get your pewter salad servers souvenir? Not much in the way of souvenirs actually made in Norway, I ended up buying prints, books and linens. For some reason the shops were full of Spanish recycled glass vases and bowls, but that was 20 years ago. I remember an old lady telling me about the ship explosion in the harbor. People were jumping off that perfectly fine mountain to hand glide. We were there when the little boys and former little boys were marching around beating drums disturbing the peace and the weather was fine.

    Dear Community,
    We are two travelers going to take a train from Bergen to Oslo. We are doing it in Xmas or mid-December this year.
    In booking our train tickets, we start to wonder which might be the best (i) time of the day and (ii) seats of the train for the train journey. For example, for time, there are two options: 08:08-15:05 vs. 11:49-19:05. For seats, we may choose to sit on the left or on the right.
    We would like to seek your recommendations, tips, or advices. Thank you very much, happy travel!

    Hi , Great video , I loved watching your video on your trip to Jersey Channel islands and just returned from there last week 😊.
    I was thinking of going to Bergen next Spring but I would love to go back to Jersey and im confused on where to go , should i go back to beautiful Jersey or visit Bergen Norway? I can't afford to go to the two 😂
    Hope you can help 👍

      Well David, we always like to encourage seeing new places and Bergen is good for a couple of days and you can take a fjord cruise one afternoon. Scenery you won’t get to see in Jersey. They are two very different places hope you make a good choice!

    Привіт з України! 🇺🇦
    Дякую вам за подорожі Норвегією. Такий суровий,, льодовий край. Їхати поїздом вздовж крутих скель мені було дуже страшно! А льодова пустеля взагалі наводила жах!
    Берген таке незвичайне старовинне місто. Цікаво, холодно в тих яскравих дерев'яних будиночках? Прекрасні подорожі 😍😍💕

    • @MemorySeekers
      @MemorySeekers  ปีที่แล้ว

      Привіт, дуже радий, що тобі сподобалась подорож з нами. Так, часом поїзд, що їхав по краю скелі, був досить страшним! У старих будинках насправді дуже тепло всередині, я думаю, що вони також мають центральне опалення!

    I plan the Norway trip next Spring. I am looking at the way from Oslo to Bergen. Is it better to take a day train vs night train to Bergen? Or flying to Bergen? Is 6-7 hrs day train ride worth seeing the scenery? BTW I’m a solo traveler. Thank you!

    • @MemorySeekers
      @MemorySeekers  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Taking a flight will likely be 3 x the price of the train. The price of a train ticket is very reasonable. Whilst it takes a day the scenery is lovely as seen in the video.

    Do you think the private cabin was worth it versus first class tickets. We plan to do the journey in summer, and are debating whether to book the whole cabin for the two of us, or book two first class tickets.

    • @MemorySeekers
      @MemorySeekers  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think the compartment was more private, possibly quieter and you get the views out of both sides of the train windows. So for me the compartment is better even if the seats may not be as comfortable than the first class ones.
