    Bergen sounds absolutely magical! From the breathtaking fjords to the charming old town, it's clear why it captured your hearts. The scenic train journey, despite its hiccups, must have been an adventure in itself! Your vivid description makes me want to book a trip right away. Thanks for sharing this beautiful experience! 🌟

    It's a beautiful and cosy little town. So happy to live here. To anyone visiting, I recommend the islands west of Bergen, too. Øygarden has lots of beautiful nature (that looks different from Bergen) and interesting attractions.

      @@debbiedarcy904TLDR: yes, but check the weather and plan (and DRESS) accordingly.
      depends on where in norway, but it's usually pretty cold unless you're here in the summer months. but if you are prepared for cold and rain/snow, (which some people are, because they live in a contry were those are rare or non-existent.) then yes, january is good time to visit.

      Good day my friend, one issue was with getting a D, number, (socal security number), you need a work contract first to get your D number from the tax office, and can't open bank account without the D, number first,
      I don't know where you're moving, from, if you're coming from outside of EU. There could be other requirements needed.

      Ahhh that’s interesting! Seems like rail travel/ownership/system is an issue in a few European countries these days. We absolutely made the most of it though - the views were a major part of why we wanted to take the train ☺️

    • @parascitzo9455
      @parascitzo9455 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The railroad reform has nothing to do with how shit the railroad infrastructure is in Norway, it just prevents VY (formerly NSB) to have commercial monopoly. Its political neglect and incompetence that's the issue. Due to the insane bureaucracy in Norway, the plans never get put to life due to change of political power in the meantime.
