You hit the nail on the head when you said the cavs have a problem of 1 dimensional bench players. Thats why guys like travers, tyson and bates are so interesting is because they have more than 1 skillset to bring. Travers might not be able to hit 3s that reliably but i rather have him for his feel for the game, playmaking and defense than someone who can only shoot and just a little bit better than luke
Watched him alot last season in the nbl. His stats never pop of the page but if you watch the game, he just seems to be in good spots all the time and he almost always makes the right play.
As much as I like Dean Wade, if he keeps havin bad luck with injuries, might be a good time to see how Luke handles NBA level competition. 🏀🇦🇺

Cavs have never been that kind or team. That would mean a member of the staff would have to admit that they can't judge talent. They Said to spend millions on someone who is a worse option and they will never admit that.
The pluses for me is smart decisions he makes about when to be aggressive and score or to make plays which any team can use. We could use his better than avg rebounding for not only TT but the rebounding status the old Warrior and potential Morris bounds we'll be without. The minuses are we don't know our owner's plan to spend, and the team could use more experience. As a two way player of course.
Luke looks really good. Of all the guys on the team, I think he may be the most NBA ready.
But he isn't the answer to any questions just yet. If he makes the team, he will still need another year before he can contribute.
I think the cavs are gonna sign Travers. They better he's a lot better than some of the guys on the roster

I mean there was a time where people thought that Isaac Okoro was going to hold similar talent close to Kawhi Leonard and his translation from college ball to pro ball was drastic. I would give Travers an opportunity. But it's really up to the organization. Cleveland was never know for developing talent as to letting talent go i.e Carlos Boozer, Kyrie Irving, Shaun Livingston, Isaiah Hartenstein, Jordan Clarkson and Lauri Markkanen to name a few. But they are trying to build development now they just have to commit to it.
Bro… he missed the first game with an injury and did well the 2nd game (only game he’s played). Saying you’re disappointed because he isn’t dominating is WILD.

The two routes the Cavs might have to go with, both include Okoro. We need a stretch big who can back up Evan & JA in both scenarios.
If Koby could S&T Okoro along with a couple of SRPs 4 a stretch big like an Onyeka Okongwu from the Hawks or Zach Collins from SAS or Paul Reed from DET, I could c a world were both Bates & Travers r on the Cavs Roster with CPJ & Tyson.
If this can't happen, Okoro will reluctantly sign his 1-year tender. Then, with the Cavs being hard capped, Koby will sign F Yuta Watanbe & F/C Chimezie Metu 2 veteran minimums using the 5 million Tax Payer MLE. In this scenario, Luke is back overseas, and Emoni is back in the G League.

Assuming Cavs keep Okoro, they have 13 on the roster. Sometimes hint that they will keep a spot open and then there is the matter of replacing TT. Then they have three two-way spots. I expect Bates gets a two-way, Would Travers cross over for a two-way spot? I figure they have to give serious thought to a two-way big and another point.
You said it yourself, travers isnt much of a high usage guy he does all the little things so expecting him to light the world on fire because of his age isnt very smart
Travers will thrive if and when he makes the league. He will do better in the NBA than the NBL
Travers is much better than Ward because Ward seems afraid to shoot when he’s open. That created a 4 on 5 situation too often. And please, don’t make any reference to Travers’ age as a weakness! It sounds ridiculous!
Do you mean Wade? Wade isn't afraid to shoot and he is definitely a better player than Travers today.

A team full of one dimensional role players? That’s a bit of an overstatement of their lack
