I started tds in 2022, but for me, the tds grind is always slower when you just start. probably because I was grinding normal mode (now easy mode) back then. after playing for a while, and getting better towers, and progressing into molten mode and then eventually fallen. the grinding took a while, but it was rewarding because of the different playstyles I used. this only applied when I got more towers, and I used each of them to try grind hardcore efficiently for accelerator. but I will not forget how long it took to get going. when I was a noob, there were no strats. just spam militant and pray. it was so boring. but as i also said, once i got more towers, the game became more fun. nowadays that has changed. normal mode turned to easy mode, and towers were buffed so much that the modes that i used to sweat so hard on have all become a joke. now the entirety of tds is rewarding as there is fun left and right (imo, remember that). for tdx, i started when it was launched. i binged elite's tdx videos and found a few strategies. grinded my ass off, and now i was left with grinding for jugganaut. it. was. tiring. at the time, expert only gave like 900 cash, and I didnt have good enough towers for that. i made the mistake of spending all my money on the next tower i could get, not the one that i needed. soon, i had the simple loadout of farm, edj, laser, john, and sniper, and i couldn't even solo any modes. obviously this was due to my severe skill issue, but i completely ruined any fun for me in tdx. grinding intermediate with simple strategies was monotonous. getting people to help me on expert was impossible because I didn't have jugganaut. and so i quit. it was gratification early on, and then most players will do the same mistake as me, and so will quit, just like me. after a few months, i came back to tdx. i used my main acc (i was playing tdx on my alt for some reason), and i came back just in time for endless mode to drop. this included 80% cash and xp for triumphing a mode on a map for the first time. suddenly, intermediate could reward 1k per win, and expert gave a whopping 3k. now, tdx was a breeze. destroying map after map, i set my eyes on jugganaut. got it on the second day back. jugganaut allowed me to demolish elite (which was impossible for me on my alt), win expert with randoms, and get towers that i definitely needed, like laser gunner, artillery and armoured factory. soon, it was time to grind on endless mode. suddenly the dopamine boost that came from me destroying the game slowed down. ngl, it was pretty chill. just me watching my cash rise up as millions of hp is decimated by xwm turrets and jugganauts. the fun slowed down until gameplay just became mildly interesting. oh wow guys, i destroyed calamity, so cool. The point from all that yap above is that tds is rewarding throughout all stages of the game. of course grinding for gold crates is a pain, but you can just autopilot it until you are numb to it. besides, golden skins aren't always required for everything. like boohoo, i cant solo badlands. meanwhile in tdx, the grinding is easy from the get go, but in the later stages, it gets more boring until you either give up and leave, become numb to it and just grind, or leave after achieving everything in the game. tdx IS better than tds, but its grinding system is just sooooo not worth it
I Can actually very agree with this I was enjoying the game until I got laser gunner after that it was just way to boring to grind. tdxs issue is how much the inflation of towers cost cause before the highest price was 15k (railgunner) but now it's just gone too far like 80k for a golden version of juggernaut is just not worth it and ontop of that now most towers like xwm cost too much to use in average gameplay that isn't solo expert or endless so it just becomes very boring after you get artillery.
This is kind of what I went through. I got every tower in both TDX and TDS (not every event tower in TDS, but every tower that costs coins and gems.) and now I have nothing to do in either game. It seems like once you get everything done in each game there will be so much more you can do. However, that isn't really the case. It makes the game not worth playing since all you're doing is getting coins for future updates, skin crates or power up grinding for TDX which you can just do once the updates come out. In TDS, all you do is basically the exact same thing just there's more things you could grind for including quests and gems for future hardcore towers. I've just given up on trying to find more things to do in each game and just decided to play other games until more content comes out in both of them. I highly recommend not trying to 100% the entire game as fast as possible since once you're done, you start running out of things to do. (Edit: Also the grind in both of these games are really time consuming, but I think that TDS gets more grind heavy around the later parts of it and TDX starts to lean into heavy grinding around the half way point since now that we have so many more towers that are more powerful than jugg, it makes the half way point really grindy and the later parts even more grindy.)
I have been playing tds for a bit, but I also have some stuff from tdx. I can say that while the grind for tds is way harder, you get a sense of progression (ex, getting each gold crate). This is another reason I think tds has more players compared to tdx, is that players get faster gratification, which is exactly what you need to keep the kids in your game playing. Each golden crate is 50k gold, meanwhile gjug is 85k gold, meaning that kids get rewards faster. In addition, every skin crate (including gold crates) has the very powerful ability called "child gambling", and tds has way more skin crates compared to tdx, so children get more gambling. If you dont understand why children are being addicted to gambling on roblox, watch literally any video on sol's rng. Edit: Just looked through a few more comments, and there are a few people saying that this video is rage bait. No its not? This is constructive criticism and an explanation at the same time, not rage bait. Also, to those who keep saying that you can get select golden skins for a price increase and that gold minigunner is 10k cheaper, you forget that tdx grinding is way faster, sometimes getting 4k gold per hour with a scuffed expert grinding strategy, and that gjug also has a cheaper replacement, XWM turret.

Juggernaut is pretty much worthless now due to g jugg being a thing, armoured factory being insanely broken is just another example of TDX's poor balancing. TDS has actually balanced towers well, i thought i'd never see anyone use militant again after 2020, but now its a staple of hc. Saying that tds got more players due to more updates, although having basis, people are gonna stop playing if the update is lacklustre. (hell tds has more than quadruple the players of tdx when writing this, and neither of the have really had any updates in a while) If people only played for updates, why is tds doing so much better right now? TDX has pretty poor balancing too, if you asked me what was better, the golden ranger or laser gunner, id always say laser gunner. towers shouldnt be weaker when they take literal hours to obtain i shuld be feeling like im making improvements. Tl;Dr Saying that "It isn't TDX's fault their player count is a quarter of TDS's, it's the players's faults for having bad taste and being too underdeveloped to enjoy it!" is actually the most rancid view I've heard in the TDX vs TDS debate, due to all of his points falling flat, the 'tds devs are greedy' being especially bad due to skins being completely OPTIONAL, the idea that tds is easier is just unbased, the idea that tds doesn't have poor grinds (Saying that having to grind more when starting the game is better than grinding after level fifty (a level where you've probably grown attached to the game and can devote a bit of time to it), TDX having some insane power creep and poor balancing and an insane amount of cope mixed into this video leads me, a level 100 in TDX and 400 in TDS, to just find it incredibly biased and poor of a review.
I don't think tdx is gonna focus on balancing for now It took ages for tds to set the ranger and accelerator in a balanced state so I think tdx needs more time to set things right but still I like tds more
after watching this video i must say that most if not all of the arguments brought up are either invalid or just an assumption so let me get the assumptions out of the way first being tds's playerbase being kids which is an excuse tdx players used to excuse the playercount which wouldve been valid.. in 2019. and saying people dont wanna switch from tds to tdx is also an assumption and from my pov: im a level 200 tds player and had no problem grinding tdx when it released until i was about rank 90, and i know alot of people who did the same, but i eventually stopped because of reasons i cover later in the comment. you say in the beginning of the video you say tds is alot easier to get into, but then later in the video you contradict that by saying that hardcore is a pain. in the video you said that tdx requires alot more strategy and part of that is true.. in a bad way. you see, in tdx your loadout for modes like expert or endless are very constricted and will almost always look something like: farm edj gjugg, warship, armored factory. while in tds even in its harder gamemodes like hardcore you have alot more freedom to pick towers, like for example for tdx expert/endless, towers like armored factory or gsoldier are basically always your pick for early game. while in tds hardcore, you can choose between brawler, gsoldier, ace pilot, cowboy, etc. tds updating weekly isnt tdx's nor roblox's fault. its just tds doing a good job. saying that tds is more grindy is about the same as calling a game bad for having more content. and also the reason people complain about tdx's grinding alot is because, due to the lack of gamemodes/progression, the grinding gets really boring really fast. and if anything tdx having 2 towers that are more expensive then even the most expensive tds tower so early on is quite concerning. on the topic of grinding, you also had a part complaining about crates being rng and skins being locked behind robux, so first, tdx has an arguably worse gambling system, and even if you still dont like it with for example golden skins, they added a daily skin shop for a reason. and you also said that robux gatekeep people from skins. and this is quite easy to explain: you have alot of ways to get those skins without buying them with robux, being either from quests or from daily rewards. and saying tds is greedier then tdx is also partially false. and i know that tds has more products for sale then tdx, but let me remind you that tds has about 30 developers, which is alot more then tdx. so if anything, that point from your previous video stays the same.
i like both games tbh, besides whichever one you think is better is opinions so there is no objective reasoning on which is better. I'm high level in both games and they're both awesome. I agree about the tdx grind tho LOL

The example used to support that TDS is more greedy than TDX just doesn't make sense The premium crate can be gotten for free for just completing the daily rewards and beating the weekly quests. (It's also the most common to appear and is the easiest to complete from said weekly quests) The deluxe crate, while being only obtainable for free from the weekly quests and having the hardest objective (Deal 4 million DMG), it would make sense considering it holds some of the best skins in the game. Besides it's at least better that you can earn yourself a deluxe crate then having to ONLY buy it. TDX on the other hand locks it's TB and CRIMINALITY skins behind a pay wall. There is absolutely no way to get them for free and you HAVE to spend money on them. The worst part is, these skins are in collaboration with TDX meaning these skins are going to be very desirable and people who are fans of either of these games are of course going to want to own them. But guess what? If you don't have robux then it sucks to be you. You also mention TDS is more greedy with how you have a random chance of getting a skin from a skin crate but fail to mention that TDX does the same thing? The basic crate does exactly that and it's even worse with the fact you get duplicates. It is filled with awful recolors and you are NEVER guaranteed a good skin no matter how many times you buy the crate. Sure you can trade up but that doesn't mean a whole lot when you can still end up with bad EPIC skins (Camo Series) or good actually skins that unfortunately you'll never use like Neko Sniper or WWII Ranger (Sniper needs a buff lol) Overall I think it's really easy to jump on the bang wagon of "TDS IS SO PAY TO WIN" or "TDS IS SUCH A GREEDY GAME" since it's what people have been saying for as long as I can remember but you didn't really show any good evidence as to why that's the case. Obviously this video wasn't strictly just on which game is greedier but I just wanted to debunk your last claim of TDS being more greedy.

Something things here are wrong, grinding in tds is way easier if you use the correct strats (pizza party) and the daily/weekly missions, golden skins are correct with gambling but you can get them in the daily shop and some of them dont cost that much more like g soldier he still costs 50k coins. The deluxe and premium cost robux but are f2p obtainable by daily log in bonus (prem) and weekly missions. Grinding hc was pain but is bow easier due to daily mission where get sometimes around 25-75 easy but i agree with update thing if tda would take longer with the update the player count would drop. Totally agree. Tds may have more features and things to do BUT the game is 5 years old. No shit, it will have more content than a recently released game. Tdx already has a lot of features with its 8 months after launch. We also never had general content that was really hard in tds. What I mean is normal, molten, intermediate, or fallen mode never was extremely difficult (insane mode is different). In tdx, even elite with 4 players isn’t a guaranteed win for the average starting player. It takes thinking and understanding about the upgrade paths. I also hate the monetization of tds but they’re forced to implement it since it’s on a kids platform. They have no choice. Although I do think tds devs will make the game harder if the monetization from roblox cools down and there’s no shitty rng games that brings in gambling. So basically, they’re both on par of being great td games. They both have unique features exclusive in their games. Ofc there is a difference in graphics because of the aging of the games. The badlands, pizza party, and polluted wastelands don’t count. Those are fucking events, not general modes. General modes will fall into the same category with fallen and the rest. There maybe hardcore but endless is fairly similar to it. Compared to endless, there are countless of strategies for hardcore and only a few for endless. It also takes tds devs 5 months -1y for a new game breaking game mode to release. Although with ongoing competition, they may release content quicker than usual. Tds may also burn your device to a crisp if it’s old. They’re both great though ❤. Two of the few roblox games without countless fucking gambling or VERY shitty grind

As an og in tds i say that tdx is much better! I started playing tds from its first event - sfoth. And tds is so hard. I love tdx bc it is not hard game for newbies and not easy for pros. And i started playing tdx from its release. I was waiting for it whole summer. And it released near my birthday. Now i think that i will be playing tdx more. And i will be completing every event.
for me, tdx is more depthful and fun when you get the ropes down, whereas tds has much more faster paced and satisfying gameplay. The dopamine you get from winning a tdx game, especially when you have a well thought out strategy that you put into action and are rewarded for it just cant be topped. On the other hand, tds has poorer balance (with some towers just blatantly being better than others) and a... different kind of grind. but makes up for that in its raw fun. You dont really have to strategise too much, you can just jump in and have a good time. The only other thing i can say about tdx is i think the game would be SOOOOO much better if it had matchmaking. I see new players that i KNOW are gonna weigh me down try to join me all the time and its just sad, not only would it give them some people to band together and play with but it would also give us high level players an easier way of getting a team for a mode like endless.

honestly TDS is better than many things in my opinion, maps, animations, creativity in the towers, but the biggest problem with TDS are the effects and the difficulty of the game, which is very easy
I'm an active player in both games and I have everything in both of the games (Even all of the skins in both games. I wasted about 100k gold in tdx just to get all of them). I don't think one of the game is better then the other because the two games are different from eachother. Yeah they are tower defense games but other then that most of the mechanics in the two games are completely different. In the 5 years of me playing tds I never felt the grind to be painfully slow or really hard. Same with tdx after the endless update. Before the endless update the grind was definitely worse then in tds. It's also great that tds is updating weekly because while we wait for new tdx updates which takes months you can check out tds new update. The gambling in tds only became a problem with the consumables. Before that with skins you could have gotten every skin in the game without the worry of getting a duplicate. And honestly with the new golden skin buffs all of the golden perk is great. Most of them even solos some of the gamemodes.
TDS gets really boring while grinding and TDX gets boring after grinding. Once you get all the best towers in TDX there's not much else to do. In TDS grinding for accelerator and golden towers is just too boring in my opinion. I like how TDX is more complicated, which is probably why the younger kids prefer TDS cause it's simpler.
Beating hardcore is like x3 time harder than reaching 120+ wave in endless At least from my playthrough I find tdx way easier than tds maybe because it just came out and lacks a bit of mode compared to tds events but yeah hardcore grinding is waaaaaaay worse than endless or expert grinding
the reason why there is greed in games like tds and tdx: roblox is basically a loan maker they get 66% of the money for themselves while the devs doing devEx get only 33%
TDS is more popular because TDX takes like a month just to release a new update while TDS takes only a few weeks to release new content,reworks and even sometimes an event. Also the robux skin crates can now be obtained by doing quests (I’m saying this because you should have added this to the video. I am not saying that TDX is bad I’m just saying my opinion).

This is exactly what i feel, especialy hardcore rn depending on lucile most of the time, and grinding for golden crates is so damn long, in tdx you buy something for 85K but the tower is actualy strong,but in tds you buy something for 50K but outclassed easily by hardcore tower with less grinding. Tdx is honestly a horrible game. when you are level 50 can you solo hardcore? (which btw if you dont win round 50 you get 100 gems less and it takes about for a level 50 player if he can he even reach round 50 its about 45 minutes to see a boss which has basically the same abilities summon,stom,and probably some other which apart from the animation is the same compared to fallen kings abilities) and in tdx you can beat expert or elite with relative low tier towers but you need one thing SKILL

Not really. I got my first golden skin at lvl 95, my second at lvl 130 and my third at lvl 160. The reason for this is because i never played hardcore til im lvl 170. I got accel at lvl 180 and engineer at lvl 200. At tdx? Sure i can get golden jugg by playing 20 endless matches but no im lazy asf now and i have life.

This is the one of the worst arguments I have ever seen in a while. Im playing tower defense games since pvz1 been released. You probably dont even know whats these games strategies are. I started tds in 2022, but for me, the tds grind is always slower when you just start. probably because I was grinding normal mode (now easy mode) back then. after playing for a while, and getting better towers, and progressing into molten mode and then eventually fallen. the grinding took a while, but it was rewarding because of the different playstyles I used. this only applied when I got more towers, and I used each of them to try grind hardcore efficiently for accelerator. but I will not forget how long it took to get going. when I was a noob, there were no strats. just spam militant and pray. it was so boring. but as i also said, once i got more towers, the game became more fun. nowadays that has changed. normal mode turned to easy mode, and towers were buffed so much that the modes that i used to sweat so hard on have all become a joke. now the entirety of tds is rewarding as there is fun left and right (imo, remember that).
for tdx, i started when it was launched. i binged elite's tdx videos and found a few strategies. grinded my ass off, and now i was left with grinding for jugganaut. it. was. tiring. at the time, expert only gave like 900 cash, and I didnt have good enough towers for that. i made the mistake of spending all my money on the next tower i could get, not the one that i needed. soon, i had the simple loadout of farm, edj, laser, john, and sniper, and i couldn't even solo any modes. obviously this was due to my severe skill issue, but i completely ruined any fun for me in tdx. grinding intermediate with simple strategies was monotonous. getting people to help me on expert was impossible because I didn't have jugganaut. and so i quit. it was gratification early on, and then most players will do the same mistake as me, and so will quit, just like me.
after a few months, i came back to tdx. i used my main acc (i was playing tdx on my alt for some reason), and i came back just in time for endless mode to drop. this included 80% cash and xp for triumphing a mode on a map for the first time. suddenly, intermediate could reward 1k per win, and expert gave a whopping 3k. now, tdx was a breeze. destroying map after map, i set my eyes on jugganaut. got it on the second day back. jugganaut allowed me to demolish elite (which was impossible for me on my alt), win expert with randoms, and get towers that i definitely needed, like laser gunner, artillery and armoured factory. soon, it was time to grind on endless mode. suddenly the dopamine boost that came from me destroying the game slowed down. ngl, it was pretty chill. just me watching my cash rise up as millions of hp is decimated by xwm turrets and jugganauts. the fun slowed down until gameplay just became mildly interesting. oh wow guys, i destroyed calamity, so cool.
The point from all that yap above is that tds is rewarding throughout all stages of the game. of course grinding for gold crates is a pain, but you can just autopilot it until you are numb to it. besides, golden skins aren't always required for everything. like boohoo, i cant solo badlands. meanwhile in tdx, the grinding is easy from the get go, but in the later stages, it gets more boring until you either give up and leave, become numb to it and just grind, or leave after achieving everything in the game. tdx IS better than tds, but its grinding system is just sooooo not worth it

I Can actually very agree with this I was enjoying the game until I got laser gunner after that it was just way to boring to grind. tdxs issue is how much the inflation of towers cost cause before the highest price was 15k (railgunner) but now it's just gone too far like 80k for a golden version of juggernaut is just not worth it and ontop of that now most towers like xwm cost too much to use in average gameplay that isn't solo expert or endless so it just becomes very boring after you get artillery.
This is kind of what I went through. I got every tower in both TDX and TDS (not every event tower in TDS, but every tower that costs coins and gems.) and now I have nothing to do in either game. It seems like once you get everything done in each game there will be so much more you can do. However, that isn't really the case. It makes the game not worth playing since all you're doing is getting coins for future updates, skin crates or power up grinding for TDX which you can just do once the updates come out. In TDS, all you do is basically the exact same thing just there's more things you could grind for including quests and gems for future hardcore towers. I've just given up on trying to find more things to do in each game and just decided to play other games until more content comes out in both of them. I highly recommend not trying to 100% the entire game as fast as possible since once you're done, you start running out of things to do. (Edit: Also the grind in both of these games are really time consuming, but I think that TDS gets more grind heavy around the later parts of it and TDX starts to lean into heavy grinding around the half way point since now that we have so many more towers that are more powerful than jugg, it makes the half way point really grindy and the later parts even more grindy.)

I have been playing tds for a bit, but I also have some stuff from tdx. I can say that while the grind for tds is way harder, you get a sense of progression (ex, getting each gold crate). This is another reason I think tds has more players compared to tdx, is that players get faster gratification, which is exactly what you need to keep the kids in your game playing. Each golden crate is 50k gold, meanwhile gjug is 85k gold, meaning that kids get rewards faster. In addition, every skin crate (including gold crates) has the very powerful ability called "child gambling", and tds has way more skin crates compared to tdx, so children get more gambling. If you dont understand why children are being addicted to gambling on roblox, watch literally any video on sol's rng.
Edit: Just looked through a few more comments, and there are a few people saying that this video is rage bait. No its not? This is constructive criticism and an explanation at the same time, not rage bait. Also, to those who keep saying that you can get select golden skins for a price increase and that gold minigunner is 10k cheaper, you forget that tdx grinding is way faster, sometimes getting 4k gold per hour with a scuffed expert grinding strategy, and that gjug also has a cheaper replacement, XWM turret.

Yeah, it totally isn't john's disregard for the community, the inane powercreep, the insane grinds, the tower death feeling pretty difficult to play around when the only way to bait doesn't work on most insta kill attacks. Juggernaut is pretty much worthless now due to g jugg being a thing, armoured factory being insanely broken is just another example of TDX's poor balancing.
TDS has actually balanced towers well, i thought i'd never see anyone use militant again after 2020, but now its a staple of hc.

saying that tds is easier is so unbased in anything, you can solo EXPERT mode with purely armoured factory, a shotgunner or two and some sorta decent dps tower whilst doing something else entirely. But i am not saying tds is much harder, hardcore mode is still on par with endless imo, especially wave 25.
TDS has flaws, like the buggy updates and sometimes long grinds, but I much more prefer that over playing a game where all of my stuff is killed just because a predator spawned.

after watching this video i must say that most if not all of the arguments brought up are either invalid or just an assumption so let me get the assumptions out of the way first being tds's playerbase being kids which is an excuse tdx players used to excuse the playercount which wouldve been valid.. in 2019. and saying people dont wanna switch from tds to tdx is also an assumption and from my pov: im a level 200 tds player and had no problem grinding tdx when it released until i was about rank 90, and i know alot of people who did the same, but i eventually stopped because of reasons i cover later in the comment.

in the video you said that tdx requires alot more strategy and part of that is true.. in a bad way. you see, in tdx your loadout for modes like expert or endless are very constricted and will almost always look something like: farm edj gjugg, warship, armored factory. while in tds even in its harder gamemodes like hardcore you have alot more freedom to pick towers, like for example for tdx expert/endless, towers like armored factory or gsoldier are basically always your pick for early game. while in tds hardcore, you can choose between brawler, gsoldier, ace pilot, cowboy, etc.
tds updating weekly isnt tdx's nor roblox's fault. its just tds doing a good job.
saying that tds is more grindy is about the same as calling a game bad for having more content. and also the reason people complain about tdx's grinding alot is because, due to the lack of gamemodes/progression, the grinding gets really boring really fast. and if anything tdx having 2 towers that are more expensive then even the most expensive tds tower so early on is quite concerning.
on the topic of grinding, you also had a part complaining about crates being rng and skins being locked behind robux, so first, tdx has an arguably worse gambling system, and even if you still dont like it with for example golden skins, they added a daily skin shop for a reason. and you also said that robux gatekeep people from skins. and this is quite easy to explain: you have alot of ways to get those skins without buying them with robux, being either from quests or from daily rewards.

The premium crate can be gotten for free for just completing the daily rewards and beating the weekly quests. (It's also the most common to appear and is the easiest to complete from said weekly quests) The deluxe crate, while being only obtainable for free from the weekly quests and having the hardest objective (Deal 4 million DMG), it would make sense considering it holds some of the best skins in the game. Besides it's at least better that you can earn yourself a deluxe crate then having to ONLY buy it.
TDX on the other hand locks it's TB and CRIMINALITY skins behind a pay wall. There is absolutely no way to get them for free and you HAVE to spend money on them. The worst part is, these skins are in collaboration with TDX meaning these skins are going to be very desirable and people who are fans of either of these games are of course going to want to own them. But guess what? If you don't have robux then it sucks to be you.
You also mention TDS is more greedy with how you have a random chance of getting a skin from a skin crate but fail to mention that TDX does the same thing? The basic crate does exactly that and it's even worse with the fact you get duplicates. It is filled with awful recolors and you are NEVER guaranteed a good skin no matter how many times you buy the crate. Sure you can trade up but that doesn't mean a whole lot when you can still end up with bad EPIC skins (Camo Series) or good actually skins that unfortunately you'll never use like Neko Sniper or WWII Ranger (Sniper needs a buff lol)
Overall I think it's really easy to jump on the bang wagon of "TDS IS SO PAY TO WIN" or "TDS IS SUCH A GREEDY GAME" since it's what people have been saying for as long as I can remember but you didn't really show any good evidence as to why that's the case. Obviously this video wasn't strictly just on which game is greedier but I just wanted to debunk your last claim of TDS being more greedy.

Something things here are wrong, grinding in tds is way easier if you use the correct strats (pizza party) and the daily/weekly missions, golden skins are correct with gambling but you can get them in the daily shop and some of them dont cost that much more like g soldier he still costs 50k coins. The deluxe and premium cost robux but are f2p obtainable by daily log in bonus (prem) and weekly missions. Grinding hc was pain but is bow easier due to daily mission where get sometimes around 25-75 easy but i agree with update thing if tda would take longer with the update the player count would drop.

Totally agree. Tds may have more features and things to do BUT the game is 5 years old. No shit, it will have more content than a recently released game. Tdx already has a lot of features with its 8 months after launch. We also never had general content that was really hard in tds. What I mean is normal, molten, intermediate, or fallen mode never was extremely difficult (insane mode is different). In tdx, even elite with 4 players isn’t a guaranteed win for the average starting player. It takes thinking and understanding about the upgrade paths. I also hate the monetization of tds but they’re forced to implement it since it’s on a kids platform. They have no choice. Although I do think tds devs will make the game harder if the monetization from roblox cools down and there’s no shitty rng games that brings in gambling. So basically, they’re both on par of being great td games. They both have unique features exclusive in their games. Ofc there is a difference in graphics because of the aging of the games. One is 5 years old, the other is 8 months. Let’s just get together and say they’re 100% better than anime defenders. That is PURE gambling and poor gameplay.
The badlands, pizza party, and polluted wastelands don’t count. Those are fucking events, not general modes. General modes will fall into the same category with fallen and the rest. There maybe hardcore but endless is fairly similar to it. Compared to endless, there are countless of strategies for hardcore and only a few for endless. It also takes tds devs 5 months -1y for a new game breaking game mode to release. Although with ongoing competition, they may release content quicker than usual. Tds may also burn your device to a crisp if it’s old. They’re both great though ❤. Two of the few roblox games without countless fucking gambling or VERY shitty grind

As an og in tds i say that tdx is much better! I started playing tds from its first event - sfoth. And tds is so hard. I love tdx bc it is not hard game for newbies and not easy for pros. And i started playing tdx from its release. I was waiting for it whole summer. And it released near my birthday. Now i think that i will be playing tdx more. And i will be completing every event.
1:38 they started weekly updating because they had competition
for me, tdx is more depthful and fun when you get the ropes down, whereas tds has much more faster paced and satisfying gameplay. The dopamine you get from winning a tdx game, especially when you have a well thought out strategy that you put into action and are rewarded for it just cant be topped. On the other hand, tds has poorer balance (with some towers just blatantly being better than others) and a... different kind of grind. but makes up for that in its raw fun. You dont really have to strategise too much, you can just jump in and have a good time. The only other thing i can say about tdx is i think the game would be SOOOOO much better if it had matchmaking. I see new players that i KNOW are gonna weigh me down try to join me all the time and its just sad, not only would it give them some people to band together and play with but it would also give us high level players an easier way of getting a team for a mode like endless.

I'm an active player in both games and I have everything in both of the games (Even all of the skins in both games. I wasted about 100k gold in tdx just to get all of them). I don't think one of the game is better then the other because the two games are different from eachother. Yeah they are tower defense games but other then that most of the mechanics in the two games are completely different. In the 5 years of me playing tds I never felt the grind to be painfully slow or really hard. Same with tdx after the endless update. Before the endless update the grind was definitely worse then in tds. It's also great that tds is updating weekly because while we wait for new tdx updates which takes months you can check out tds new update. The gambling in tds only became a problem with the consumables. Before that with skins you could have gotten every skin in the game without the worry of getting a duplicate. And honestly with the new golden skin buffs all of the golden perk is great. Most of them even solos some of the gamemodes.

TDS is more popular because TDX takes like a month just to release a new update while TDS takes only a few weeks to release new content,reworks and even sometimes an event. But lemme tell you why TDX seems worse:
1. Yes you don’t have to suffer grinding but the difficulties are hella not balanced like you needed an squad to beat expert which is ok but the coins are terrible like even TDS and DD has an coin multiplier on some maps but just imagine what it would look like when you get the golden towers on TDX
2.TDS has ok buffs for golden skin towers sure but TDX has example Gjugg is an 1.5X stronger version for 35K more money than an Gtower like Gmini has buffs for +25% money increase for it but Gjugg COSTS SO SO SOOOOOO MUCH MORE
3.TDS just makes more updates for the people but TDX is the same but with more disadvantages like nerfs and more
4. Just buy so many coins and gems for robux if ur rich or play the updates TDS added

Honestly as a tds player i played tdx, its not bad, its not that good, its mid, its a very good game, the only problem is that tds has way much content than tdx and the game was like in a void without players, and the fact that people argue that tds is better than tdx or tdx is better than tds is so dumb, both games are almost dead

The thing that makes TDX good is the difficulty because in tds its MUCH easier and it doesnt even feel like a challenge to end game players, but expert still you need strategy to beat it.
Another thing is that TDX is easier to grind because of the map rewards.

The musics are so bad, all of them are repetitive, just the same thing every every time which makes it so boring
The grind is so painful, when I grind on that game I feels like getting older and older
The endless mode gets boring fast, taking 1 hours just to see a reskin of eradicator
The towers are so damn expensive like if the game was not grindy enough
The community is terrible, everything for them is a copy
The graphics are terrible, looks styrofoam, even blox fruits has better graphics
Overall tdx is terrible and not worth to play, and tds is way better

when you are level 50 can you solo hardcore? (which btw if you dont win round 50 you get 100 gems less and it takes about for a level 50 player if he can he even reach round 50 its about 45 minutes to see a boss which has basically the same abilities summon,stom,and probably some other which apart from the animation is the same compared to fallen kings abilities) and in tdx you can beat expert or elite with relative low tier towers but you need one thing SKILL

Not really. I got my first golden skin at lvl 95, my second at lvl 130 and my third at lvl 160. The reason for this is because i never played hardcore til im lvl 170. I got accel at lvl 180 and engineer at lvl 200.
At tdx? Sure i can get golden jugg by playing 20 endless matches but no im lazy asf now and i have life.

This is the one of the worst arguments I have ever seen in a while. Im playing tower defense games since pvz1 been released. You probably dont even know whats these games strategies are. Not the strategies players use when playing game, the strategy game developers use to make the game good. I doubt that you dont even exactly know what is power creep. You say that tdx has better updates than tds but you dont explain why it is. So you are saying that adding slegdehammer was better than brawler? Im not saying that brawler is better. Im saying that they are both unbalanced new towers and you cannot compare them. And you said that tdx is hard. Are you high? After saying that you talk about hardcore and say how hard it is. I dont like hardcore’s design but it is sure is hard because it wants experince unlike tdx. It wants only grind and working 5 braincells. I agree you on the grind part but the gap between these games are not that big on grind. Tds has lots of content but wants too much grind, tdx has lesser content and wants less grind. personally, I disagree due to the points of his falling flat. he calls tds greedy even though that's like complaining that a swimming pool area sells different coloured goggles and caps at the reception. The grinds are even, and saying that its better to get unattached players to grind more when they first pick up the game rather than give more experienced players the option to heavily grind is kinda mid. TDX and TDS are both good games, but trying to drag tds down just because of ones own tastes is kinda... eh.
