    I live by hi point literally three blocks away. We own a hinpoint c9. We never had a problem with ours. Oil it. Break it in.

    if you take the right side grip off you can just lift the magazine disconnect out the gun to disable it. it usually takes a hundred rounds or so to break it in.

    I like mine very much. Works great. I have seen a lot of higher priced guns jam more than a Hi-Point.

    There's a lock-out set up that when you might drop it a little slide locks out the firing pin so it does not go off, I have both own the 45 acp and the C-9 with no complaints for over 20 years

    I’m about to get mine soon! This is the most legit review I’ve found on TH-cam and it’s just made me more excited for it. This will be my first handgun since my felony back in 2008 but we won’t talk about that! 😅

    Mine has survived over 16k round destruction test/ plinking but needed 4 new firing pin and spring kits during that time when I started getting miss fires I replaced them all at once and it solved the issues all parts free and shipped free from highpoint for $130 dollars you can't beat it most people will never shoot it long enough to hurt it

    I bought one just for the funzies, don't believe their manual where they say to clean it every 1500 rounds, I clean mine every day I shoot it. I keep the slide oiled and the feed ramp polished, and, this is only my experience, but it's never malfunctioned, and it's hit the bingo on every target I've ever shot it at. Oil your hi-point, ignore their maintenance instructions, and it will be a very accurate and reliable handgun for you.

    I've got one, my first 9mm an it chambers fine... But I had to modify the clip and the feeling port. The clip is the same as there 380 clip that's why it jams, you have to make the 2 little lips on each side straight, you can do this with needle noise pliers. Plus you need to polish the feed ramp, it comes with the same black coating as on slide, ( have know idea why) put you have to polish it, first get some fine metal sanding cloth, I used a pencil with the big eraser an just went back and forth till all the black is gone. Then get some metal polish ( I used Flitz ) it worked fantastic, just polish it, make sure you wipe it good and clean an you'll be ready to go. New ones you need to run at least 1000 to 1500 rounds to break it end. Then just keep it clean an oiled and you will be fine. Haven't had any trouble since. Had mine for 5yrs. Now very accurate!!!!

    @frankjgornickjr3676 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Oh yeah there is a safety feature if the clip is not in the gun and there's a bullet in the chamber it will not fire unless the clip is in with safety off.

    It’s good to keep 7 in the mag and 1 in the head. It’s a blowback so it loads under its own weight. The springs are that strong of a return

    For the price you can’t beat a hi point. If I accidentally leave my home without my Glock, staccato, ruger, S&W, or BUL(I select what I feel like for the day) I can swing by a pawnshop and pickup a hi point for the price of a good lunch or a nearly tank of fuel and be good for the day as long as I tune the magazine a little. It’s happened a few times. I’ll just drop it(unloaded) in my harbor freight bucket when I get home. I’m not rich it’s just that a used C9 can cost 40-80 bucks here in NC and this is from 2022-2024 prices. Love my state!

    As someone who works st a gun store, and as someone who has run rounds thru the hipoint c9, my opinion for what it’s worth is as follows: the C9 will work if u run it and clean it and learn the platform. It is reliable and does what it needs to do. However, being a firearms salesman, I will NEVER recommend this gun to my customers. A lot of our customers are also first time buyers looking to get into firearms. Ur first impression will last a lifetime. This is one of of the lowest acceptable forms of 9mm. Hipoint it isn’t totally bad but it’s definitely not the standard or any standard for a 9mm. My honest opinion, the gun is crap. It’s a working piece of crap but crap nonetheless. For first time buyers, I cannot recommend AGAINST this gun, but srsly if u only have $200 for defense, I’d recommend a shotgun. The higpoint sucks but kinda doesn’t? But yea just no, this gun is not the one. It works and is realiable once u break it in, but that break in process also costs money that I’m pretty sure a lot of hipoint owners don’t even bother w. But just bcuz it works most of the time doesn’t mean it’s recommended. Hipoint is not the way friends.

    I just shot the 5 guns I've bought over the last 4 years, the Hi-Point CF380 was the only 380 that would shoot the 100gr reloaded ammo I got during covid. It has the least recoil and was the most comfortable in my big hands. The others 380s were a Taurus Spectrum, and Jiminez JA380. It was also nicer to shoot than the Taurus G3C and SCCY CPX2 . The SCCY maybe getting traded for the C9. Hi_Point haters have put these guns through torture tests, they still worked. I'd like a $600 gun go thru the same torture.

    Read the instruction manual first, and learn the name of the parts are! You need to take a basic firearms class also!
