Max and Ruby 0004 Adaptation/Re-Imagined

- Back in October of 2007, a local citizen who runs a video rental store in a small town in Indiana named Theodore Goldman went missing on the 13th, 6:30 PM EST. His car was found 13 miles near the Indiana border containing his personal belongings, his laptop, and a video tape, all of which were taken for investigation purposes.
The video tape had the numbers "0004" on the label and was damaged heavily, but luckily a local technician managed to restore it properly. Although most of the fellow officers did not find the the tape particularly unsettling, the tape was still used as evidence for another case involving the murder of Katie Alvins, another resident of the same town aforementioned above.
On the laptop was a recently opened txt. file containing the following;
"i'm sorry i could no longer be with you leslie"
"my sweet baby"
"i promise that i'll find a way"
"and you can forgive me for what i've done"
"and my poor mother, if you are looking down right now"
"i'm sorry i can't be the golden child you hoped for"
"because of me a life was lost, i need to do this so that another won't be taken"
"it's all my fault"

As someone who grew us with Max and Ruby, and is currently a big fan of analog horror, this is easily one of the best and most underrated retellings of a classic creepypasta I have ever seen. I remember the game you used completely! And making it into an analog horror version of an old creepypasta is honestly genius. I would love to see this become a series.

I came from PigPig’s video, and this is AMAZING. It has fully original content, the animation is amazing, the re-imagined story is great, no screaming (which were unnecessary and loud in most videos), the call and jumpscare at the end, everything about this is so underrated and amazing. Honestly, I would have to say a very good job to you for turning 0004 into something actually eerie. The fact you used the Flash game (which I feel does have that uncanniness when it comes to some of the Flash games of old) deserves a ton of props! Also, I do have to ask, is the reimagining connected to the rest of the series, or is it non-canon?
Additionally, I have to wonder: how the heck did you remove the music from the voicelines?

I'm pretty sure that's Ruby's face at 2:30, the black hole-ish eyes, the tears, and the mouth, that's what I'm assuming.
THE START MUSIC IS SO NOSTALGIC OMG
Explanation: Basically a VHS tape had episodes 0001, 0002, 0003, and RIP mommy and daddy. The person clicked on that and it played an episode. It started with max and ruby crying for about a minute, but then it showed them in that park. After the scene where max is chasing ruby it cuts to max and ruby standing in a room with no face just plain white. Then it goes black for a few seconds and then shows max sitting on his bed… after a little it shows the bottom half of his body with it showing him standing on a stool a stool… then he knocks over the stool and you see him running in place (he hanged himself) then ruby walks in cutting to a scene where she cries for the rest of the episode… The End.
I remember being so scared of this creepy pasta when I was younger, this is so good

This is horrifying bc Max and Ruby were my childhood. But it's also really good bc i love horror, but seeing my favorite childhood shows become creepy and as lost episodes is just really cool. Fun to watch this at night with the covers over your head with your cat snuggling next to u. 👍

the episode starts with max and ruby playing in the garden but then the screen goes black and the parents are talking but they sound sad then it cuts to a scene where max and ruby are standing infront of their parents grave and the sky is red and their is static then max is shown hanging himself and ruby starts screaming in horror and her eyes and mouth are fully black and their is some weird black liquid coming out of her mouth and eyes and at the end max and rubys eyes are fully black and their is a creepy message that says death is our only release

At 1:02 you can see Ruby looks up to the roof as if something is there, coincidence or not?
"Max loves hiding in the kitchen" Might refer to something . Like everytime in the kitchen he does something he shouldn't. Or something harmful.
1:30 the words "its a shame" appear on the right corner of the screen, if not already realized , symbolizing that it was sad that Max had killes himself, or someone killes him in the kitchen.
1:33 shows us a quick flash of a moving light. It might hint that thats where Ruby was looking, or where Max's dead body (suspecting) was hung, or where Ruby got killed, if she does. Maybe, if Ruby did look up there and thats what she saw, Maybe, Just Maybe, she could of saw Max's dead body hung up there.
1:40 it keeps repeating "burn in hell" , talking to *us* or maybe, ruby, their (dead probs) parents, max, possibly anyone. Even ted. Theres a video of a woman, refrenced of mandela catalog btw i think, climbing up a step and hanging herself, supposedly killing herself, this could be Ruby, or their mother. or maybe, its just there for a scare.
