I worked at that Micro Center when it opened in 94. These are the same doors when i worked there. There was a bookstore and a service department to fix your $2000 computer when it broke. Also MIT is done the road.
“Blu-ray is dead media…” “…the day of projectors have passed.” and “…you can hear funny things in different speakers and it’s enjoyable.” all tells me you guys need to up your home theater game. 😁 Set yourselves up with a 140” acoustically transparent projector screen with a 4k projector running on a 7.2.4 Dolby Atmos surround sound system and you’ll never want to leave your house. Also physical media still has better uncompressed audio for the best sounding surround sound. It’s absolutely glorious.

Microcenter is the sort of store I would dream about: rows and rows of toys and useful technology. Except in my dreams, it would slowly turn into a Home Depot or Ace Hardware. Because my dreams were actually nightmares.
They are opening a micro center here in Indianapolis within the next few months. There was a huge frys here before, and the shelves were nearly bare. I hope the micro center is much better.
I love the power aisle as well! You can never go wrong with some quality surge protectors or UPS units. For residential areas that are prone to brownouts or blackouts, a solid UPS is a must.
Bought a UPS for my server, it also comes in clutch running floor fans when the power is out and I'm trying to sleep but my tinnitus is ringing like crazy.
Those 10 inch extension cords he was showing you are great for vintage video game consoles with giant wall wart plugs. You plug those big AC adapters in the extension, then plug the extension in the wall or power strip so the adapter won't take up 4 freakin plug spaces

Micro Center's are few and far between. Years ago, Been to the one outside of Detroit, MI to fix my 1st gen Ipod with video ('member those?) Mother board was fried, but MC was able to recover all my tunes.

A note on the hdmi to component adapter: HDMI mini consoles don't work well on 4:3 CRTs. All the mini consoles output 16:9 so you'll end up with a distorted image/black bars.

I love power discussions. I'm a proponent of putting 2 power strips in the same outlet. As long as you don't have too much running at the same time, it's perfectly safe. Don't daisy chain.
