SI senor from San Antonio Texas all around us the legend of mi gente are what always stay in our memories llegaron los músicos que poner canciones en nuestro pasado para recordar que fue a través de nosotro que Viva La Raza from Dj panther
It was 1971 when Juan Garcia from Harlingen Texas played the album Que Bruto by little Joe and the latiniers for the first time. I was hooked on spanish music since that day. We were both in the Air Force in northeast Arkansas before we were shipped out overseas yo different bases.
The album Que Bruto is way ahead of its time! I was blown away the first time I heard it (as a teen in the 90s) in its entirety. The musicianship and voices are tejano at its height. The album or the band definitely does not get the recognition they deserve!
THANK YOU SO MUCH....for loading this beautiful music...I grew up listening to this music...brings back so many memories straight from the HEART.......thanks again.....
I was the guitarist for Little Joe LA Familia in the 1970's ! Sure do miss all the musicians that I was honored to perform with to Name a few Sal on sax and flute ,Indio on drums who now plays with War ! Mike and Chris on bass Gilbert Sedeno (oblio) pianist and composer ,Frank (Pancho) Partida on trumpet Jaime on sax and of course Benny , and the true legends of the brown sound Little Joe, Johnny and Rocky your in my heart forever, your guitarist Rory (Buck's ) Romero from Pueblo Co.
THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER LITTLE JOE AND THE LATINARES. EVEN LITTLE JOE TODAY DOES NOT SOUND LIKE LITTLE JOE THEN. THE SOUND IS LOST FOREVER. UNLIKE TODAY, THE MUSICIANS BACK THEN REALLY CARED ABOUT THE SOUND AND DELIVERY. TODAY, IT'S JUST DONE FOR THE MONEY AND LET'S GET OUT OF HERE.
True there wil never be another Little Joe but don't forget that people get older & our voices also get older. So enjoy them while you can because one day he won't be around and on you'll wish you could go see him. In other words don't be dissing Little Joe!!!!!!!
Puro Chicano carnal! Soy de Sinton, Tx. Esta cancion me aquerda mas de La Javalina en Kingsville. Corpitos(Corpus Christi), y Robe(Robstown). Everywhere he played, we were there. El Charro Negro is still at it too. Saw him at the Corpus Christi Jazz Fest 2013. Que Bruto!
Beautiful song bring back beautiful memories.
