This was without a doubt his most underrated song... this jam was stuck in my head for over 30 years... my father used to play it all the time...and I found it by accident..... what a treat.... listening to it 40 times in a row...GREAT MEMORIES
OMG Me Too Stuck in my music memory bank. Humming it often, in my head singing, to myself humming this tune. Not knowing it was getting me thru the day, the hard times and a hard life. Just TODAY HEARD IT and REDISCOVERED WHY I Like It So Much... 🎶❤🎤
I agree. I first heard this song on the radio when I was 15 years old and I was hooked immediately. It was one of my favorites (along with Las Nubes). I play this one over and over and over...
I don't know that it was "under-rated " it was their best album ever! I remember seeing them do this song live at an outdoor venue in Houston. It was Magical!
This was, is and will forever be the life music for the Melgoza Familia... that says everything about what it's like to take a big chance to better care for your family... and when the Melgoza Familia would play this music all my wedo ass knew was good times to be had for sure... 50 years later still as beautiful to hear, with an educated ear means even more... so thanks for having this because I don't know all the words and meaning too, my Uncle with different blood passed away and only place I could find with siempre Que Bruto because I am a white boy and my step dad married my Mother and I was along for the ride... all I know is that when this music was playing, that I wasn't being beat... anyway thanks for for making this available
I have this song in my walking repertoire and I easily play it a couple of times. Perfect polka/walking beat. The good old days at the South Texas dances of yesteryear. Indeed, "Que Bruto!"
Tu si sabes bro.!no ai mas TexMex que little Joe y la familia I've been listening 🎶 since the 60s y sabes, lot of good TexMex artists been and gone little Joe's stills the GREATEST!@
In my opinion one of Little's best albums. I am sure if the Grammy Foundation was recognizing Chicano/Tejano music back when this album was released this would have won a Grammy for Little Joe.
The Grammy's couldn't figure out how to categorize this Corazon fused with Jazz and Jazz is Universal and only American Art Form made by anyone who's got the wevos to play in this style... wich would have never happen unless you came from Mexico illegally or legally... so it's got some outlaw in it and that's when you here the greatest Grito ever... that is the special sound we still love..,
didn't. know wht Tejano music was till l. heard this guys now l. can't get enough of them love them sooo much l have just about all their CDs .Tapes 8 Tracks n LPS than god bless them always 😙😙
I always have like little Joe and la familia through the years, I'm a trumpet player and we play some of his songs, we're not a texano band but I like texmex, the horns really makes the difference in any kind of music.
Still one of my favorites
