With ActionSA I believe South Africa will be a first world non western country and the envy and destination of the world. The Springboks done it Other athletes done it The Proteas and other sports teams can do it too.
I'm voting DA, my blood is blue but all the best to Action SA,good leaders and policy,I hope you and the DA together with MPC play a major role in government
Im voting ActionSA. An idea going forward might be to try wins a few local bi elections and then win a few towns and then use those those towns to prove yourself. You need a test place to show what you can do. An example would be Waterval Boven or Belfast or Madibeng (worst run town)
In smaller sample sizes, the odds say that you'd be more likely to run into larger parties. This is probably why the big 3 look bigger in polls than actual elections.
This is true but they do predict the larger parties fairly accurately. Previous elections , the top 3 took 90% of the vote , so only 10% for "other". This time around it'll be closer to 80% , so more room for smaller parties. Also MK is definitely going to make accurate polling harder. However some parties are dismissive of polls when it doesn't make them look good.
UIM, is a ANC plant. Do you really believe, an ex-ANC spy / intelligence officer, no longer has ties to the ANC? Use your brain Veronica, same with the the MK party, they are also an ANC plant, to capture votes they would lose to the IFP, or EFF.
I also listened to a known person and he is good but this year I don't really agree with his poll figures at all. I have great respect for Herman Mashaba and ActionSA
I'd prefer a ANC/DA coalition to a ANC/EFF one , no matter what was agreed. The DA would need important portfolios to make it worth their while. Beaumont is correct that those departments would be full of ANC cadres but it would be the DA's job to clean them out . If the MPC miraculously did come into power , they would face exactly the same problem. Beaumont's nose is out of joint because he is being excluded. Of course a multi party charter would a better option but they don't have close to enough support. However , if the ANC gets about 45% , they'll most likely form a coalition with the IFP plus some tiny parties. That in turn puts them in a coalition with the IFP in KZN but they would still need a 3rd partner. The EFF looks like it won't get enough votes to make them No.3 so that would leave either MK or DA. The DA would probably be the IFP's preferred choice as they are working together in some KZN municipalities. If that does happen then there would be a bun fight in the ANC over partners in Gauteng. Lesufi would want the EFF but the DA might push for their support in KZN to be conditional for them to partner the ANC in Guateng , causing head office to overrule Lesufi. Of course this is all speculation on my part but we are going to have an interesting few weeks after the elections while parties squabble for places at the feeding trough.
The amc amd ifp won't work together they have too much bad blood among each other. The eff is going to scare the Ramaphosa faction away. This leaves the DA as an option.
Best option is to let ANC form minority gvt in return for beefed up parliamentary scrutiny over executive. But can Ramaphosa bind his party to anything.
❎💙❎💙 I Wish Micheal as an MPC member would stop constantly dissing the DA etc. every chance he gets. I understand that all parties are in it for their own party first, but constantly having digs at their partners is annoying and breaks people's confidence in whether you have in fact "put aside" your differences or not... I feel not sorry. When you stop trying to break them down then I might start having faith in Action SA. My vote remains with the DA
Generally a very good discussion, only blemish so far is the politeness used to express / discuss the PA deviousness vs the antagonism to DA. Not very good for the MPC me thinks. Also, ActionSa will probably be the second preferred coalition partner to govern the W Cape, hopefully this attitude will change, SA needs to be successfull after the elections.
It's good to see someone taking on the pollsters. Their influence or manipulation of voters opinions is an important aspect of an election not often investigated or even questioned.
No you do not need bloody regulation. Stay out of this constant nostrum to "stop that kind of thing"... the electorate can work it out. We are not idiots. If you are correct then the Polls will have to beat "humble pie" ( if they are able to do that). Your job is to highlight the joke as you put it.
Hmmm personality party Herman the Ego - no track record of governance other than coalition with the EFF - rather go with the party that has a track record

The way Michael articulates himself so well he reflects how ActionsSA have done their reaserch and recruitment very well.

I don't think polls can guauge the newer parties all that well. But that's why we have a physical election.

I dont get the "Swart Gevaar" thing the DA is a political party it is allowed to attack the ANC and EFF because those are its rivals.
