- Yesterday, a map went viral that used Twitter data from the past month to show each state’s most hated NBA player. And, not surprisingly, Los Angeles Lakers' LeBron James was the most disliked baller in 24 states as well as the most hated overall. Kyrie Irving came in second, with 18 states disapproving of the Brooklyn Nets point guard, followed by his teammates James Harden and Kevin Durant with 3 states each. Chris Broussard joins Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless to explain why LeBron is so disliked.

I don’t agree with the separatist conversation. If you noticed a lot of times we talk about what America is and America’s feelings and America’s stand would be and then we talk about How the whites would feel this way and the blacks would feel this way. We are One all One Human race and one heart.
For instance there’s many blacks that through the years of oppression have a very strong feeling of anger or get back and that could cause any trouble to anyone and that’s the same with certain whites that their fear or their anger is directed at others. So we all need to come together with our own self control and compassion and Truth! Some love to war and truly do not even recognize that’s who they are. Awareness brings access !!!!

Lebron has been hated ever since he left the Cavs the first time.

The difference is that in previous generations there was a clear separation between fans and media and the few sports journalist that had a national platform had to stay neutral, unbiased and simply cover the events and athletes in a way that promoted the growth of the sport and informed the fan. Regonal and local guys could show their colors to an extent but not the people covering sports nationally. That´s reversed today we have fan journalist with huge platforms taking side, giving hot takes and rushing to break unconfirmed and at times baseless stories to promote the growth of their platform first and foremost. The fan that they´ve created is a reflection of that. Journalist today feel they can call athletes out like they are competitors and do so on TV so today´s fan feels they can do the same with the media. I see you at a restaurant or the airport and I´m calling you out and giving you my own hot take. I think that´s what he was getting at.

I'm black and a Lakers fan. I also have never liked Lebron. My dislike of Lebron has nothing to do with his politics or charity work because that's all great stuff. Also Lebron is undeniably one of the best players ever. It's not just one thing but a combination of things. I don't like his style of play. I always am drawn to finesse players. Watching Lebron bulldoze into the paint, run over three guys and get the foul call got old quick for me. I also think he's often been a crybaby on the court. Also the times he has lost/choked and looked bad his fans always have a bagful of excuses. Also, never doing the dunk contest. Of course you can do or not do whatever you want but c'mon man. It's like he's trying to prove something by not doing it. It's a bunch of little things that make me not like him when it comes to basketball and I never will like him. He's a pretty good activist though.

That's direct positive change that was brought to his community through his personal actions. Also any celebrity has a platform. The vast majority don't do anything controversial with their platform and it works just fine. Just how Jordan never spoke up about civil unrest. When a celebrity uses their power to bring awareness to important issues, even if they never do anything else, it effects more change than most average people will do in a lifetime. Before LeBron James, sports was a universal language. It didn't matter what religion you were or what race you were or what political party, You could talk about how great players were and how great the game last night was. It brought us together. Now the players political beliefs, overshadow the game. Almost everyone I know has quit watching the NBA. And it feels like that universal language has been taken away from us. I'm black and I'm not seeing the whole "its because he stands for something" pitch. He didn't stand for that whole NBA, China ordeal, which most can argue is the same fight. Skip is on the money. This segment, along with yesterday's segment about the man, even when he's out of the playoffs, is probably the biggest reason why LeBron got the top spot in the "hate" poll. The sad part is, sports media doesn't see that they contributed to this type of thing due to if LeBron farts, it has to be a story no matter what happened in the sports world the night before.

I don't think a lot people hate LeChina James but I think they dislike his attitude toward fans that don't support his beliefs. I think LeChina finds a lot of fault with America but not other countries like China. I spent a week in Hong Kong in the early 90's when it was under British rule and I spent over a year in Japan and I traveled the entire World. The World is different than America. Most People in the world take pride in their Nation. I wish some these people would live over seas for some years they will have a knew found appreciation for America with all it's FAULTS.

I respect Lebron skill so much, in my opinion he did have a chance to be GOAT and was very close.
But if i had to say i reason to hate him i will definitely go with 3 things.
IN ORDER:
First one is his demeanor on court when things arent going his way, he start bitchin' and is very passive agressive and i hate passive agression. It is the worst. His teammates most of the time dont deserve it and if you wanna talk big you gotta act big, not act like the smallest person in the world.
The other one is that he try to create and control narrative so much it just comes of as fake and looks like politician fighting for votes. He is always low key insinuating things that are not for him to insinuate. He just seem as kind of a person that is very petty and egocentric. He always act like some idea or opinion is his original when we all know somebody else did it first. People dont like when somebody making drama and talking about fair/un-fair when life and god was very good to them, and Lebron always have a complaint.
And third the media. Media are the ones who help him with his egocentric needs i just mentioned and it makes me remember how unfair and political this world is. Lebron is a simbol of media consumerism. We all know D rose wore i cant breathe shirt first, but media will exploit the fact that they can act like they dont remember and help Lebron change the narrative.
