This is the room where I decided (after seeing the massive crowd singalong on April 12, 1993) to push for this song to be the band's 4th single from the debut LP. The label wanted them to make a new album instead but a few of us at Capitol pushed for an unheard of 4th single (following 3 relative non-hits) and that finally broke them thru. This is the same song but from the tour that followed for the next album. (You can tell the difference in Shannon's haircut (long in 1993, much shorter here.)

He reminds me a bit of Lou Reed and i mean that as a compliment. I feel bad that he isnt still doing the music he loved. and just feel bad for him and wish life turned out better for him.
im just getting into blind melon. its so fucking sad seeing him like this but he still gives his all on that stage he still has that energy and his voice is so beautiful
He is so worn out here from rehab, touring , stress and then his relapse . He needed another 6 months of rehab to learn how to cope with temptations. Poor Shannon , the band knew it was a bad idea but toured anyway . Blind Melon postponed the tour the record might have flopped but we may still have had Shannon. Who knows but for the time he was here holy crap did his star shine bright !
This is by far the best live performance of this song. Despite all the demons he was battling, Shannon sang this beautifully.

I miss Shannon ! He just couldn't get his demons slayed.
