How accurately noticed! I have flown across seas and oceans on single-engine planes many times, but I could not convey what it feels like better than in this video! That is simply genius!!
I was terrified as a kid whenever I'd fly over the ocean. This was in massive airliners, of course. The thought of being up in a small single-engine prop plane 10 miles off shore in a storm is beyond me. Remarkably well done, JP and team!
Epic series. Keep up the good work. We tracked you guys on avcom through James' updates. But this gives us an amazing look into how much planning and focus a trip like this takes. But also how insanely rewarding it is.
So nice to watch you fly across oceans and think how slow it is for La Vagabonde to cover the same distance. Enjoy this for you will remember this the rest of your life.

It's amazing that plane even gets airborne with the size of balls you guys must have to make that flight. Kudos from a fellow pilot with smaller balls :)
I so love the ambience and especially the light when you guys came out of the storm. Capturing that - awesome!. The greyish, smooth yet somehow strong light reflecting in the windows and the hull of the aircrafts. Pure beauty there………
This is off the cuff documenting. How this belongs to TH-cam and not on TV is baffling. I'm sure if this was on TV more people would be hooked to aviation, but not like they know it. Like Ice Road Truckers meets "Let's fly halfway across the world in a single prop plane without truly knowing what's against us until we come across it". Mad, mad journey! The aviation community is proud! Your videos are the best I've ever seen! Plus thanks for showing me your ways!
I used to instruct a very long time ago. Then I made it all the way to RJ Captain before I lost my medical. Que sera. I don't watch small airplane videos because I'm so far out of that world but yours popped up with that insane ocean crossing and I watched anyway. Just magnificent. Brought a tear to my eye. Great video and what an adventure. I got unhappy 50 miles out over the water in a jet twin and here you are hundreds of miles out in a piston single with no lav. Respect. The fact that your last one is a month ago and before you attempted the freaking Atlantic worries me a bit but I hope it's just video production taking a while.
It's one thing climbing into a craft which someone else has built and quite another flying out to sea in one you've built yourself. I'm looking forward to your next episode where you reach the point of no return.
After watching just 2 videos of you I am already so invested I can't get enough of it. The editing is perfect, the content amazing and there really isn't that much out there competing. WOW. Just wow...
JP, what an epic journey. I know I’ll never be able to pull off what you guys did, but this series got me reliving the flights I made - the good, the bad, and the plain stupid. And the editing of the vid, the music: fantastic. I never felt so into the TH-cam viddie!
I applaud in silence at you guys... I don't know why the hell you chose that route in the middle of the ocean on a single engine, but kuddos! Awesome adventure, I hope I get the chance to follow you one day on my 172. Cheers and good luck!
Really amazing JP, thank you!! What an incredible adventure and even though you have flown around the world before I'm sure the thrill of the next flight and what will it bring is pure bliss. This is such a cool and inspiring series, really special and I have not flown in 7 months but now I can't wait to get back up in the air!! Keep it up living to the fullest and exploring this beautiful world and those "in the moment, in this place" moments are just priceless. Safe skies and can't wait for the next episode!!
Thank you so much for letting us fly with you on this, it looks like an incredible experience. It's an incredible inspiration and I really want to learn to be a pilot myself now!!!
My cousin and I just did a flight into severe turbulence in a cessna 172, and I can say that it was definitely some white knuckle flying, and we weren't even over the ocean 🤣. Hats off to you gents! good flying!
@@the_candourist I'm more acquainted with mountain flying here in Montana. The danger here is getting turned around and ending up in a canyon too narrow to maneuver and terrain rising faster than your rate of climb.
What's with all the epaulets? Looks like some fun time in that airline single! Liquid diet!!! How fun to fly together, nice to have company, that feels good!
It is crazy to think how fast airliners are going in comparison to those small planes. Really great footage id love to do something like this myself at some point. :D
Been looking forward to this! It’s been a wonderful adventure to follow along. (Though I’m glad I “read the end of the book” and know you made it safely last year… 😊)
That's mad, flying is my biggest fear and flying through a storm like that would give me a heart attack probably. Watching those videos I feel slightly more comfortable with an idea of flying an airliner. Amazing editing and views, you've earned a new subscriber!
you guys have some HUGE balls for going over the ocean in those small single eng planes.. would be a amazing adventure though no doubt about it i bet you remember that for the rest of your lives
Hi JP, really well done on the flight and the great video you made of it. Perhaps i missed it, but it would be very interesting to see a summary of the flight/legs that you complete ie total distance, time in the air, fuel used etc.
Man, your filming and edit blows my mind! I did actually felt the atmosphere!
I’d love to see more shots from Cape Verde. Looks amazing there.
How accurately noticed! I have flown across seas and oceans on single-engine planes many times, but I could not convey what it feels like better than in this video! That is simply genius!!
Yep, truly amazing
Checked Flight Aware and the aircraft had been flying around CA and Colorado. At least it made it over the Atlantic. Can’t wait to see the next video.
Why is this content so good? I have no background or previous knowledge about flying but I love this series!
I was terrified as a kid whenever I'd fly over the ocean. This was in massive airliners, of course. The thought of being up in a small single-engine prop plane 10 miles off shore in a storm is beyond me. Remarkably well done, JP and team!
That long-shot of the 2 of you riding the turbulence was incredibly unsettling. AMAZING editing on this series!
Flying through that for so long was a real nail bitter. Well done 👏
This story deserves to be turned into a movie! Congratulations to everyone involved!
These guys need to repent and turn to Jesus Christ

That was intense! Amazing achievement! JP your editing and story telling is some of the best on TH-cam! Can’t wait for the next one! 👏🏻
Wow, nicely put together. Loved this. Who'd have thought a face-on video of two blokes sitting down could be so compelling? 🙂

Just another 13hr flight over The Atlantic - no big deal ... for JP.! All the best and keep it up. 😄
It's amazing that plane even gets airborne with the size of balls you guys must have to make that flight. Kudos from a fellow pilot with smaller balls :)
Thanks!
What you guys were saying about it feeling like you're an explorer really comes through in your edit and storytelling. Absolutely epic man
Tack!

Great work JP. Hopefully we don't have to wait to long for the next episode 😂
@@the_candourist thank you for your incredible work flying, capturing and presenting the adventure, these videos are insanely good!
Really well done
@@the_candourist Quality over quantity, eh! This is a quality series JP!
Guys, the new episode is not yet out, is he ok?!!
@@Dji_Dronesi believe they stopped the attempt due to mechanical issues
Guys, I'm only finding this on TH-cam now, this is utterly brilliant. Amazing stuff. Well done.
Deserves way more attention!
Another fantastic episode! I too was cussing for joy upon your landing 😂.

Got tense there for a while dude, I was about to go pour myself a drink haha. Once again great production quality of the vids JP.
That was absolutely stunning JP, I felt the tension as you’re flying through the big storm, thank you for sharing it with us

Amazing as always. Great film work JP. 9JP is looking quite nice as well~ Hats off to you for living.
I've just recently found your channel, but man, hats off! This is one of the best quality content on TH-cam.
It's one thing climbing into a craft which someone else has built and quite another flying out to sea in one you've built yourself. I'm looking forward to your next episode where you reach the point of no return.
Loved every minute of it. Looking forward to the next one. And to be quite honest you are one of the persons who inspired me to start my PPL.
Beyond great! Well done and thank you all - Simply mesmerizing.
That part in the clouds kept me on edge. Well done.
Worth every minute , incredible adventure

Finally glad to see your videos taking off a bit, on the viewers side JP! Great videos and lovely choice of music at the end! Magical!
You guys are true aviators! This is what its all about
Mesmerizing shots ... Fantastic work.
Amazing project dude!
Great video! what an experience. Thank you.
Hey JP, thanks for the ride along.

To be continued when? A fan of all your journeys!
Amazing JP! You have a fantastic gift and thank you for sharing with us.
That was scary! And your expression of the sense of relief/achievement, priceless!
Nice one JP. I know what it's like flying over the sea out of gliding range, but longest for me was 30 mins, not several hours. You're a brave man!
Actually got anxious during this video. Awesome job man.
The shear quality of each video is insane, hats off to you JP!
Makes waiting for each video so worthwhile!
The production quality though. 😯
Mind blowing
Absolutely superb JP. Thanks for posting.
Great video. And I can’t get over just how beautiful your plane is.

Another amazing vid, keep it up👏👏
Great piloting skills. It got a bit scary when you flew into the storm. Lots of love from Nairobi Kenya.
Love this. the real world of flying due to weather and just the logistics of such a long flight. Great job !
The whole vibe of this video is so amazing.
Thanks for posting such a great video! Following your progress from the UK with great interest! 🙂🙂🙂
Congrats brother in everything you do we support you you're such an amzing person.

This is by far the best content i have ever seen here on youtube. Good stuff man!! Hope to see you return soon
Editing is like a Christopher Nolan movie with Hans Zimmer music, great vid.
Well-done JP!!!! Aamzing flight and airminship. In addition the story and edit. Had me on my seat. thank you.
Fabulous filming and editing, the music is also spot on to emphasise the emotions. Great work. Fly Safe.

Wow awesome film making in awesome aircraft. Sending lots of Sling love from ZULIP in Cape Town
Amazing adventure JP, I really I enjoyed. Hope to see adventure to Middle East
The fact that you guys do flights like this is the most amazing thing in the world!
Excellent adventure video! This is what I dream of doing, only on a bit of a smaller scale with my airplane. Cheers from Winnipeg.
Been waiting for this video! Love this content so much I put the Bell Notification to know when it would come out :)
Luv'd that music for the tense portion.
Very nicely edited, looks awesome….it’s a 10/10
Always a pleasure and motivating to watch your videos bro! Best of luck
