A tip for video about the Shimano derailleurs is a complete tear down. It is a smart thing to do once a year actually. I had an XTR derailleur that all of a sudden wouldn't spring back (fold to tension the chain). Turns out that the housing for the spring is not very well sealed at all and as moisture gets in there it will corrode the spring and the shaft that it is on. When that has happened to the point of seizing up you are screwed.
