@@cameronschmitz4 just read your reply, thank you. A few hours prior to your reply I relied on the D5 Evo display, it certainly does not substitute for your multi-meter advice. Lucky I have another gate that uses the same battery. Swapped them over, that proved I can't rely on the D5 display. Should get a multimeter and add it to the tool collection. Might upload a low grade video myself to set it straight for others. If I ever get around to it I will add your advice, cheers.

check mains 240v and power supply is working if its fine check your terminals are tight and clean if the problem persist replace battery

Just had this happen with mine today and replacing the battery fixed it
Do you recall if you saw the battery level as below 13.8? Mine is at 13.7 and doing exactly what old mate is showing.
If you have a multimeter check 2 see that battery is receiving charge first
