Many tall people find this tent troublesome because the back wall slants toward you making it hard to keep the bottom of your bag off the inner resulting in a wet bag from moderate or even minor condensation. Otherwise, this is an excellent tent. One of the best. But, you really don't need a black label Hillenberg tent for moto camping. There are comparable tents made by Hillenberg that are lighter and less expensive and more than enough tent for four season use unless you are camping in Everest or something similar. I own the 2 man non-GT version that I use for northern canoe trips. I am 5' 10" and it is fine for me, barely.

Thanks for the excellent feedback! And you are correct. I personally use a Big Agnes Copper Spur UL Bikepacking tent...much lighter and smaller than the Hillenberg. (We have a video about that on the channel as well.) My choice is largely because I ride a much smaller and lighter bike than David! Each rider needs to weigh their priorities and pick what's best for them. This one works great for David (I guess partly because he's not excessively tall?). :-) Cheers! - Chris

A veritable palace of a tent! Very cool. - Frank

I agree, Frank! I've had a compact lightweight tent for a while. But on longer trips, it would be really nice to have a little more room and a "porch" to hang out in when it rains. :-)

@@MotoPhotoAdventures Oh that is a geat point. The first trip I have a full rain day, my small tent is going to become a PITA. Time to go watch more motocamping tent videos! - Frank

My dad knew Mr Hilleberg, so I grown up with just having all sorts of Hilleberg tents.
But right now I only got smaller ones, Unna, Akto, Staika. For sure one of the best tents in the world, but yea, pretty damn pricy.
When my dad passed away, I sold like 3 larger tents, just to collect some funds for my mom. Great after market value

@@MotoPhotoAdventures I visited the factory here in Sweden when I was in my teens, just before my dad headed over to Greenland for a 2 week kayaking trip with a friend. They really stressed tested one of their tents 🤪. Bosse, the founder handed the business over to his daughter, but that must have been like 15 years ago.
Over here in Sweden it’s the brand for the purist and hard core wildlife enthusiasts 👍😊

Looks nice. I think it’s too big to fit in my Hampton Inn room though. Cuz I sure as heck ain't sleeping outside.
