Well Sam, I see you found your voice and didn't leave us speechless. With regard to this show "You Are Super", there were actually two that she participated in as competitor. The first when she was 14 (her audition blew them away with the French lyric song "Derniere Danse" (Last Dance by Indila), - there are other covers on other competition shows to compare it too) which she won and following season was a Champions show, which she also won - Human being her exit song - you notice no buttons pushed, just pure pleasure on the faces of the judges. Derniere Danse along with Snow Falls are two of my very favorite performances of Diana. Like So Hyang they have about the same vocal range but Park Ki Young is a tad more versatile and can belt them with equal emotional impact and power in rock, pop, soul, jazz flamenco, and classical ( opera). A rare hidden gem that she performs the way it was intended to be performed : as an opera in English. The best version ever and I’ve watched and listened to all the world class vocalists perform this) Goodbye a word that’s too short” ( click 5:08 one she’s in the celestial realm and sustains the last note a long time. They are both about the same age ( early 40s but look amazing for their age!) and the closest and best of friends. Diana was a possitive personae, full of musicality within even in her young age, she is too different inside and out with full spirit and body when she started opening her mouth to sing... i first watched her during her audition at The Voice she never got a single judge to turned their chair to her but she used to got the audience attention in an standing ovation... since then i started to searched and follow her journeys and become one of my favorite musical artist... thank you for featuring her on your channel.. That's Diana - makes you speechless except for that one word - WOW, WOW, WOW! :) I have heard reactors try to get their head round her vocal abilities say "She reminds me of Cher" or "She reminds me of Shakira" "Nora Jones" etc. BUT When you get right down to it she has very much her own unique vocal sound and abilities which are incomparable. I see Diana Ankudinova as a young goddess - she not only sings these songs, she tells them in an extraordinary way. I love that. By the way - the older gentleman - the adjudicator on the far right - is Igor Krutinov, Diana's mentor (as well as Dimash's, etc.), who helped Diana launch her career. He also provided adequate accommodation for his protégé and the foster family. I am curious to see what will happen to Diana in 5 or 10 years.

So, in 2017 on February she went to Moscow, at the Russian 'The Voice Kids'. Diana sang 'Yodel-Time' th-cam.com/video/vKdvaWsd91Q/w-d-xo.html but none of the judges turned around but the whole audience gave 'standing ovation'. What happened? Next day, a huge scandal broke out in social medias. People demanded for Diana's participation in the competition. A door had closed but a new door opened:
In 2018 and 2019, Moscow hosted the 3rd season of a unique international Competition instead of “You are Super”, which was launched in 2016 specifically for adopted and orphaned children. Diana took part and won. These performances were broadcast nationwide, uploaded to TH-cam and made Diana known worldwide. She now has many millions of fans around the world. The final of the international singing competition for children 'You are Super' took place in the Kremlin Palace. The winner of the season will be determined by a 6-day public vote. Diana won a scholarship to the music college. Igor Krutoy gifted her a small apartment in Moscow so that she could begin her vocal training with the best teachers in Moscow such as Professor Olga Donskoy (she died of Covid-19 in October 2020).
The break of voice made Diana’s voice darker and deeper. During her vocal break, her voice sometimes went a little crazy. You can hear it in some videos from that time. She has mastered this time very professionally and worked hard to get the lost high notes back and has expanded her vocal range, currently from C3 - D6 ... and it will go on. Her genres are folk-rock, folk-pop, jazz, soul, blues, soldier songs and Diana-stile… tradition meets modernity. She likes to paint and draw so much that we can be glad that she decided to sing… But did you notice that she only ever holds a microphone in her right hand? Her left-hand underlines and paint, what she is singing. Diana puts her whole soul into each song. That all makes her performances special and unique.
But not only is she a great singer and storyteller, she is also a humble, intelligent and hardworking young woman. She gives charity concerts… and she loves her family and values what they sacrifice for them. She loves her fans (they are 'Friends' to her) and she is grateful, that they helped to improve her home studio. On TH-cam Prof. Donskoy und Diana had also regularly answer the questions of her Fans. Her Russian Friends have chosen Diana as "National Treasure" (no official title).
In her home studio, she is currently experimenting (Corona time) a lot with different music genres and performing on both large and small stages. She loves the French language, but also sings in English and Spanish.
2020 Diana graduated from high school with honors and in September she has become a student at the Russian Institute of Theater Arts (similar to Juilliard). She studies in the specialty "Variety Artist". She is already composing songs and we will definitely hear her own song soon.
She will only take part in major competitions if invited. Such competitions require a lot of time, effort and strength. As a result, participants often have large educational gaps and problems later on. Diana is a smart young woman. She focuses on her studies, her voice and expanding her repertoire. She is 17 yrs., Of course, she also wants to cast a spell on more younger people than before.

Well Sam, I see you found your voice and didn't leave us speechless.
With regard to this show "You Are Super", there were actually two that she participated in as competitor. The first when she was 14 (her audition blew them away with the French lyric song "Derniere Danse" (Last Dance by Indila), - there are other covers on other competition shows to compare it too) which she won and following season was a Champions show, which she also won - Human being her exit song - you notice no buttons pushed, just pure pleasure on the faces of the judges.
If & when you decide to do Derniere Danse, the show version is of course limited in length due to the nature of time constraints but the long version performed on another stage is sublime and highly recommended viewing - th-cam.com/video/8wkHr6Hvnuk/w-d-xo.html (she starts out smiling then goes into character) While I'm not suggesting you react to the original artist Indila's performance, this version is a joy to listen to - acoustic version - th-cam.com/video/eehzpPOzdgI/w-d-xo.html (While I didn't see the movie The Joker, apparently the song was part of the sound tract). Derniere Danse along with Snow Falls are two of my very favorite performances of Diana. Her newest release (couple of days ago), while still in its development stage imo, is Helwa Ya Baladi (My Beloved Country) and my best guess is will be included on her forth coming album (which she crowd sourced the financing for). What an emotional performance from a young child, your right, to most it just doesn't make any sense. We're so used to hearing /seeing trained older adults performing and sounding like this. Very gifted so Diana is........ I believe you and your Mama would also enjoy her original song and video of Into The Sky released last summer. Diana is absolutely unique to me! You will recognize her voice among thousands of other voices! But the standard voices of other, even very good singers, differ, with rare exceptions, only in details and seem to me like a picket fence in the fence - they are hardly distinguishable.

Me Voy next, a young girl moved me to tears.
She has a unique voice that no one and nobody owned but hers... Diana was a possitive personae, full of musicality within even in her young age, she is too different inside and out with full spirit and body when she started opening her mouth to sing... i first watched her during her audition at The Voice she never got a single judge to turned their chair to her but she used to got the audience attention in an standing ovation... since then i started to searched and follow her journeys and become one of my favorite musical artist...

That's Diana - makes you speechless except for that one word - WOW, WOW, WOW! :) I have heard reactors try to get their head round her vocal abilities say "She reminds me of Cher" or "She reminds me of Shakira" "Nora Jones" etc. BUT When you get right down to it she has very much her own unique vocal sound and abilities which are incomparable. By the way - the older gentleman - the adjudicator on the far right - is Igor Krutinov, Diana's mentor (as well as Dimash's, etc.), who helped Diana launch her career. He also provided adequate accommodation for his protégé and the foster family.
