I'm damn near 42 and I still have a couple of my old Tyco RCs and they're great. Plus, I'm a Hot Wheels geek too, so enough with the man-child stuff. You never really outgrow the things you love, nor should you have to.

Kev , your videos are always fun to watch ! There are rc forklifts eqquipped with hydraulics , they go for like 900€ , they 're definitely no child's toy because they simulate the actual full scale forklift in many many ways

Funny thing is I drive the same exact forklift at work, Linde D140
i prefer the term niche instead of geeky ...... but thats coz my channel is basically me playing with / modding my construction stuff ( i have dug a garden pond with my toys😁) but the carson Linde is a very capable fork lift having most the functions of a real one, and a lot cheaper then the hydraulic toys. You might want to add a couple of wheel weights to the forks as they can get stuck sometimes when trying to lower them

Get one of those really slow beginner planes that flys super easy.
I have the Yale forklift version of that and it will lift a can of beer if you strap a can of cheese to the counter weight
If you have fun with an rc, no matter if it is a toy or hobby grade, that only matters

Just an FYI: there's a series of vids on geeky german guys with construction equipment. Their stuff prices out $10 $15 $20 THOUSAND DOLLARS and higher....freaking crazy but they are awesome bits of kit.
You need to set the fork on top of the very edge of the coin. Boom down as you back up and it will flip up onto the fork. At least that’s how I do it w an excavator.

You can buy jCBs diggers and forklifts for thousands of pounds. The Germans love it someone of the biggest hobbies in Germany

Small coins are fine. The trick is to use asphalt or rougher concrete so the coin has more friction on the ground

My dad was a forklift driver for 35 years before he died. He competed in the local forklift Olympics and could pick up a dime or a nickel with his forks.

Geek scale level:
Bashers: level 1
Off-road Racers: level 1
Drifters: level 2
Crawlers: level 2
Planes: level 3-4
Tanks / scale trucks: level 4
Semi trucks / haulers: level 6
Forklifts / excavators / construction vehicles: level 8-9
(But that doesn’t matter it’s whatever make you the most happy)
If put RC planes at level 1 with bashers. Mostly because RC planes can have a real world application like Predator drones.

Maybe you could put some rubber bands around the tires for more traction if they didn't spin inside the bands, might be worth a try
I have picked up coins with a forklift many times and won a lot of money. You need to lean the forks forward and drag it off of the coin so it will flip up onto the fork. Good luck have fun.😂

Kev you have inspired me to return to rc's just got my second 1/10 scale tamiya im building mine to match the full size cars that i take to Renault classic car show I'm building a Renault 5 John Price rally car and a 3 x Renault Alpine A110 to match the show cars thanks Kev i can see myself spending loads on these rc's i hope i don't get to many

If there isn't already(highly unlikely there is) you could start up a warehouse worker club and have miniature shelving racks with pallets of boxes and crates etc, and have dispatch loading races 😂
Their are 1/14 truck meets, guys do set up their own yards and will load your flatbed truck with their forklifts. 😂

Kevin definitely is not a stoner I think it might help him slow down and think a little bit with some of his RC work that he does but everybody has their own choice when it comes to that sort of thing I live in California where marijuana is legal so yeah I'm going to use it it helps my anxiety it helps me Focus I was prescribed it before it was ever legal I've been a patient for 20 plus years
