      @@SeanJorgensen So it is! :) And I highly appreciate if someone classifies it as better, because Kodak is not the centre of the world and I would choose Orwo over Kodak at any second, due to personal preferences.

    i love to see other people fall in love with this Filmstock! These Guys by ORWO are so kind an passionate about film. I personally love the outcome of this filmstock. My whole fridge is full of original Wolfen Film.

      Hey Christian! Thats awsome to hear. I know i love it too but am bummed ive been hearing people get some weird results. I was even looking at other peoples youtube reviews and theirs have been coming out very green/blue like some of these comments. it's a bummer because the way mine comes out is soo good IMO. Thanks for watching!

    Its an interesting stock, and if you enjoy the look, thsts great! but having shot a couple rolls, I maybe got one shot i liked, the rest were disappointing. I also experienced blue dots which I was advised by my lab was on the film and likely due to loading errors at the factory (ive never experienced any artefacts with the 200+ rolls ive shot in my f4 of all other types). Your results definitely look better than my results. Only thing I don't like about portra is the price. Atleast the new orwo stock is cheap and supports orwos growth and hopefully more emulsions

      Yeah thats exactly what i'm referring to. The photos I saw on some random feature account looked terrible. Now that i hear your feedback it must be something on my labs end. Portra is great and all I just wish there were more films talked about out there.

    I’d be interested to hear your/your lab’s scanning method. I shot a roll of NC500 that came out… profoundly blue… but I also home scanned it and interpreted myself with self inversion and pulling through individual RGB channels in capture one

      i gotta give praise to my lab here in Las Vegas called Photo Shack. I haven't scanned in myself in a couple years, i just don't have the time/patience so I fully trust them. Next time i pop in ill ask them their scanning method as apparently my wolfen comes out different then most of the feedback in hearing, which is very interesting.

    • @SeanJorgensen
      @SeanJorgensen  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      i tend to always shoot my films at box speed

    I don't understand the hate for Wolfen, shot NC400 and 500 and yes my first time shooting it I didn't meter properly and ruined alot of the shots.
    But, found it does better indoors suprsingly, outdoors depends on lighting siutation. It gives you vintage in a modern world, as if your picking up your grandparents pritns from years ago.
    I've rated it between 320-400, with normal developing. I prefer the 320 as sweet spot.
    Can't wait to see what else they have for us in future.

      well said! if the lab processes it correctly its a great film and i personally gravitate towards a muted tonal look.

      @@SeanJorgensen yah processed three rolls at home so far and it’s been great each time. Muted colors and contrast works great, it takes you back to the 80’s, especially when you shoot in streets of NY

    I found it had low contrast which worked great for bright conditions but looked bad with flat lighting

      Thanks for the feedback Jay! I agree its better in bright light and doesn't really shine in a low or flat light setting. Whats your current favorite film stock?
