you know... if you really want to counter mages there are many easy cards to do the job, mostly secret related. if enough ppl will do that, then you'll no longer see those decks on ladder.. and that's how the meta shifts ;-)
@@bookipzee Don't really care too much about Secret Mage. The deck is just an aggro deck with secrets. Quest Mage is far more annoying with less counterplay.

I'm gonna exaggerate purposely just so you will get my point: put in any anti secret (kazan, eater, that cop from streets of gadgetzan etc), put in a lot of heals (khartut, Reno, healbot etc), and a lot of control spells. If you are still losing, let me know and I'll craft a deck just for you. But you know that karma is a bitch cuz once u start playing that deck you will no longer see secret mages xD.. Or perhaps it's not karma but rather the shifting meta 🤔

@@dddrebbb Secret Mages aren't that cheap, you need two legendaries. Quest Mage requires a lot of legendaries and epics. But i hate them both (especially Quest Mage).
Quest mage has single handily make me want to go back to standard. There’s actually no point playing past rank 2 because ur going to lose to quest mage unless ur playing quest mage.
Linking hearthpwn shows all of his decks, not just the one in the video. If someone remembers Dane playing a funky deck but can't remember which video it was, they can just go to hearthpwn, without even remembering the name of the website. Just makes things easier in the long run

You have to compete against a refined meta deck (not to mention the dust you might need to craft weird legendaries), test it again and again to see if it was bad draws or the idea just doesn't work. If you mean a random one, after choosing the class you can select a few cards and then use the auto complete function.
All in all I Enjoy your videos :) .. Just a minor observation... If you put a link to your decks, please update that list with the deck you're currently showing! If not, it's a disappoint link!

you have no idea how much I hate elemental mage. Bloody OP AF. Even when I'm just about to win they pull it back just because of the lifesteal so whenever I see mage I just concede instantly cuz literaly every mage I play against still play bloody elemental even tho the deck is like 3 years old I just hate those people so much. Even when I play rogue deck that slows them down and takes away their hero power that spawns more elemental I still can't win. No counter. And I hate priest too, but atleast with priest I have with sheer hatred and revenge-lust managed to find some ways to counter the most cancer decks.

Poor Dane. Can't leave his flat and can't escape quest mage. I popped over to wild to try the miracle druid deck and my first three opponents were quest mage. At rank 20. I think I'd rather get the virus than play Wild right now
I don’t understand how that deck and some others escaped changes for so long. Just what level of power do they think is high enough to be nerfed? Just because the gamemode’s name is Wild doesn’t mean it has to be an uninteractive mess
Amethonys They might not run Evocation honestly. They can complete the quest so consistently it isn’t needed but we can’t say for sure until we see it in action. Oh well, at least look at the bright side. If they continue printing cards that will make Quest Mage better, then it might reach Tier 0 levels and finally get nerfed.

I don't see a huge reason NOT to run it since on a low roll you spend 1 mana to do nothing (probably shoot two pings for flamewaker), but on a high roll you fill your hand with a bunch of the low cost spells or card draw. Also, even if they don't RUN the card, it simply being in the pool of Cyclone, Glyph, or Magic Trick makes the deck stronger imho. It is probably the best discover off magic trick besides MAYBE ray of frost.
Why would he? Quest mage wins over a two turn combo. If they can’t get that combo to work, you’ve won. Dane had multiple taunts that prevented the giants from attacking. You don’t win with value against quest mage, you win by surviving their combo.

MASTERHAENIR quest mage has always been a problem but Vargoth is what pushed it over the top, Time warp and Vargoth should both cost six
