For those of us who spent glorious holidays in the 70s & 80s in a Halvorsen on the Hawkesbury, this beautiful craft is the quintessential embodiment of the grace and quality of that time when boats were built, not manufactured. Thanks for sharing... dream on 😎
Beautiful craft, and look at that engine.....the best of British! I read somewhere the 6XL was definitely Gardners swan song, manufactured from 1958 onwards as the company went very slowly into decline and take over, these were the engines that powered trucks and buses that would last an eternity!
Oh I love that description, "Not looking like a cross between a Vegas casino and an eastern European brothel." I like looking around luxury yachts on TH-cam. I will never be able to aford one, I just enjoy 'window shopping' One thing I have noticed is some very rich people have not got good taste, they pay for over the top gaudy crass expensive interiors etc. As you say, this has a much more understated decor.
My grandfather, Frank Jarvis, was very proud of this vessel and my family continue to be so pleased she has been restored and cared for. I would love to know where she is now.
Mr. Christie you produce the most excellent nautical videos. You have a great talent for this. Please keep finding these gems and sharing them with us.
Another Gardner powered masterpiece. Cruising the South Seas on a Yacht full of Hash. Too bad they got busted but glad the boat made it through. Looks great.
What a Grand ol’ Lady of the sea! Thank you for sharing this wonderful colourful story with a spicy past! What’s not to like about this story? Don’t understand how any thumbs down can be given. Each unto their own I guess - but a like AND a Subscribe from me! Good one👍👍👍👍👍
Don't you just love it when drug smugglers manage to get their cargo so far, only to get nicked offshore? Love to be a fly on their wall when the police moved in!

Yes. A great memory. I know a shipwright who has restored 3 of them. Not for money, but just because he likes them. They are prone to rot though.
And the 50s and 60s .😊
She's absolutely stunning, what a magical history she has, so glad fine ladies like her still grace our amazing Australian waterways. 🇦🇺🌈
Nice history on a beautiful boat. Glad to see she's so well cared for!

What a glorious vessel, just beautiful.
Stunning yacht..
Some high times aboard
Very utilitarian inside, almost Spartan...nice! Not looking like a cross between a Vegas casino and eastern European brothel.

Glorious sound from the Gardner.
I’m going to use it as white noise to get to sleep....muted just a tad.
What a beautiful boat - and the engine sounds just like an old London Routemaster :)
Wyd love to see the interior I Kno it's gotta be class like the outside!!! Stunning boat!! ✌🏻💗😊❣️

Absolutely love these videos! Someday I will live on a Moreton Bay Cruiser. Keep up the great work Andrew!
Perfect lines, all parts where it belongs. What a timeline🙏
Beautiful boat
very nice boat.
Brings a whole new meaning to life on the "high" seas
Simply elegant ...
I remember doing some work on this vessel in the late 1970's when I worked at Howard Marine at Breakfast Creek . She is indeed a lovely cruiser.
Really enjoyed the back story,, well done 👍
Your Gardner is the most beautiful I have ever seen!
Definitely in the running for most beautiful motor yacht. I think that Taransay (built by Rossinavi) is right there beside it in terms of beauty.
A Thing of Beauty from the Past.
She’s so fair she looked glassed! 🥺❤️🖖🏼
What a beaut!!
Beautiful 👍
Nice boat, thanks for sharing
Beautiful Boat!

They just don't make them with lines like her anymore.
Nicely done.

Bateau original et atypique en tout cas magnifique.
A beautiful cruiser.
She is beautiful.
I don't impress easily , but i must admit , you got my attention.
Clean engine!!
If that rib isn't christened "Tender Back Passage", i'd count it as a lost opportunity.
Great Video
Seems to be a shallow rake on the hull, as it tea cups in choppy water.
I would consider stabilizing her. Perhaps with a Seakeeper if there is enough room.
So that's why the price of my hashish went up in 1988!
I don't posses enough elbow grease to keep that beauty maintained!
She’s a beauty
Muy bonito
Does any aussies here have a picture of the MV Tom Poynton? been trying to find her, Tom was a relative
Exquisite vessel... music, NOT so much... Thanks for posting
I like video
Nice boat
You gadner or you Vessel beautiful and suitable for lake transport
No stabilizers?
When made ?
I wonder if the inside is just empty
Gorgeous. So... is she for sale? 🤔
Falta proteção nas correias do motor. Bom dia.
I can only conclude the owners are ashamed of the interior.
what is the range?
Can't blame those bogans for trying to make a few quid.
👍👍👍 🙏🙏🙏

Is there nothing to see on the inside, you do not do this boat proud
