What I loved most about this tour was most people were Filipino and they are way more fun on tours. We are already planning a trip back next month for Mindanao and Cebu.
Selemat Sore, A & A! Beautiful tour of natural paradise, El Nido & hospitality of Filipinos! Quit smoking(Kretek, clove cigs) long ago & know it can be done! Very excited 4 next tour of Palawan. What camera were using to film? Let the man row & u film! Most men possess 90% more upper-body strength than woman, not 2 mention testosterone! Save your back & keep covered up! I never felt comfortable in Asia (except in Bali & Borneo) wearing skimpy clothes & bathing suits like i did in the US. 💙
For most of the Philippines I’m using the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 which is small and perfect for day trips. It’s new and while it can never replace my Sony ZV1 I love how easy it is to take around, I also used it in the Puerto Princesa video because it’s not so obvious when I’m on a tour with other people, I’m not that obnoxious TH-camr 🤣
No but actually we were thinking of doing it next month but Thailand is such a scorcher right now. I also want to go back to the east coast near the Perhentian Islands as I’ve heard there are less popular but still as beautiful places along that coast.
The Philippines won again (and again) as the World's Leading Diving Destination (5 consecutive years) and the World's Leading Beach Destination (2 consecutive years) in the prestigious World Travel Awards 2023, the Oscars of the travel industry, held in Dubai last December 1, 2023.
Sardine Run - Moalboal, Cebu Apo Island, Negros Oriental Shipwreck Sites in Coron, Palawan Coral Garden , Camiguin Balicasag Island, Bohol Apo Reef, Occidental Mindoro Coral Garden, Puerto Galera Tubod Marine Sanctuary, Siquijor Anilao, Batangas Also, do the TAO expedition from El Nido to Coron or the one in Balabac, Palawan.
Congrats and good luck with the no-smoking journey, Alan! I’ve never smoked but in addition to all the quality of life improvements that happen really quickly, I’ve heard you’ll taste and smell food differently and better! 😋 Kudos for tackling this. This beach tour looked so fun, and the water amazing!
Omgosh, this is the first time I've caught up with you on your videos! I can't wait for your next one! The Philippines have been magnificent❤. Im jellie😁
Yeah I was being generous there! Thankfully he was just happy kayaking around as I just kept saying over and over the water is so beautiful! I won't forget this place.
It’s the DJi Osmo pocket 3 but I just bought ND filters for it as the next video the colour is a bit off and the sky is turquoise but it’s a great walking around camera
Oh no! One thing you never see in the pictures and travel documentaries is the hoards of other tourists. You've been around Asia quite a lot. Which karst islands would you recommend most? Ha Long Bay? Phuket? Khao Sok? El Nido?
So I wouldn’t recommend Ha Long for environmental reasons. It’s a cesspool because of tourism and you see trash everywhere. I haven’t been to Phuket yet because everyone says I’d hate it. It’s actually why we went to Koh Samui and the other islands. Originally I thought Phuket but after so many people saying it would be like Cancún at Spring Break I watched some more videos and realized it wasn’t what I thought it would be. But El Nido is still quite lovely. They manage tourism well there by setting prices so people don’t compete by undercutting each other and the morning at the beach is crazy but otherwise the boats work together so that not everyone arrives at the same time. And I was shocked that it actually looked like what I saw on Instagram which rarely happens. Since I went to Perhentian Islands in Malaysia I didn’t see a beach that could touch its beauty until now.
I have been traveling for 14 years with a brief break in 2020-2021 when I was based in Havana Cuba and they kicked out all the foreigners. I will travel slower but I don’t see myself living in Canada.
@@ayngelina Wow! That is a long time to be traveling slow or otherwise. What do you think about what's happening in Ecuador? I assume you are a Canadian citizen so do you lose your health and other benefits by traveling all over the world? Have you been back to Havana since and was that one of your favorite places you've ever been?
I lose provincial health benefits unless I go back and stay to renew them but thankfully I’ve been healthy so far. Actually in Ecuador I saw a dermatologist surgeon for $40 to take care of a mole and Ive had dental work done in Cuba and Mexico so I’ve been ok without benefits. I do miss Havana and want to return to visit, most of my Cuban friends have left and a lot has changed for the worse so I’ve been putting it off. And yes I’m following Ecuador, it’s so sad to see but I hope they can fix what was a growing problem when I was there.
@@ayngelina Of all the countries in SE Asia you have visited which one did you like the most and for what reasons? I've been to Thailand many times and except for the climate I really enjoyed it there. Have you been to Albania and those surrounding countries?
Oh I don't know if I could pick. Thailand is definitely the most livable, and reminds me a lot of the quality of life you can have in Mexico. But I really loved our trip motorcycling through Vietnam because the highlands were still so raw. Indonesia is always great because of Alan. The Perhentian Islands in Malaysia are still the best beaches I've visited. And I'm really looking forward to going back to the Philippines. I haven't been to Albania but I've always been curious as I volunteered 20 hours a week with the Red Cross when Canada accepted refugees and I became quite close with people my age there. Some day I'll go.
Indeed The Philippines has incredible natural beauty
It’s so beautiful I’m planning a new trip next month to Cebu and Mindanao

You had no expectations about this tour and it seems that finally, it was fun !! What a nice bunch of beautiful sceneries.
Honestly I’ve gone to so many places that looked amazing on social media and just ok in person but this was a big wow 🤩
@@ayngelinaAllen had a big smile on his face❤

Well this is not surprising but I would love to know the best places for snorkeling, do you have any suggestions?
Sardine Run - Moalboal, Cebu
Apo Island, Negros Oriental
Shipwreck Sites in Coron, Palawan
Coral Garden , Camiguin
Balicasag Island, Bohol
Apo Reef, Occidental Mindoro
Coral Garden, Puerto Galera
Tubod Marine Sanctuary, Siquijor
Anilao, Batangas
Also, do the TAO expedition from El Nido to Coron or the one in Balabac, Palawan.
Oh perfect I was hoping to go back to Cebu. How is Mindanao?
@@ayngelina Camiguin and Siargao are in Mindanao
Oh oops! But this is great news!
sigh. these beaches.. beautiful
These I think may be the best, it's tough to beat Perhentian Islands in Malaysia but the limestone cliffs edge it out.

All tropical sea are all clear water..our only difference is only.. we're a F people..F for Filipinos😂✌️
Filipinos are the best people to have on tour. We took another one with westerners and we really missed the F factor because Filipinos are so fun!
