- I like to read, it's good to hear people tell stories.
I've ridden an old chopper cross country, this was not that. But it was a beautiful time in my life and i wanted to try to put some of into words. The imagery is secondary.... It's really all i had because i was pretty wrapped up in the moment. This kind of spoken word deal won't be for everyone, i get it. Just thought I'd try it because it's been on my mind. We could all be the same, or we could be ourselves.... this is a piece of me, it comes from my heart.
i spent 6 months building this bike for born free, as you know most bikes get trailered to the show, i get it. It's a show bike, but i really wanted to ride my show bike to the show. I kept that in mind the whole build. I got to do a few shakedown miles, then it was time to bounce. Its only a Little over 400 miles to the show, but that's far enough for things to go wrong, happy to tell you it was all smooth..... it felt really good.

“My shadow chasing me on my left” bro…I closed my eyes when you said that. I love to look over at the shadow of my bike while riding…and I think “yea, that’s looks killer” black chopper silhouette. If the shadow looks right, the bike looks right ❤❤ dude Max thank you for inspiring me to get into choppers all those years ago…I remember getting my first bike. A Sportster, I thought it was awesome. Up to that point I had never seen a chopper style bike. But one day on the ol interwebs, here come this dirty looking dude with a big ol smile on a panhead….that was max…and I was frozen by the shape of his bike…and that was it…I was obsessed….thats been over 10 years ago now. I’ve had probably 7 or 8 bikes now, been in 5 wrecks, had my left leg rebuilt, and keep on riding!

So rad when an experience captivates and activates a human so much that art flows out of them. The true state of existence! Great piece, really enjoyed it.
