There's one suggestion: Enable one option in the Global setting to auto-insert the Table of content blocks on every article automatically. (as other table of content plugins do)

Can I use rank maths table of content while using elementor free plugin? Aparently I need to switch back to the Gutemberg editor to be able to do so. Thanks dear Jack (and team), but i have one more feature missing. Maybe i haven’t found it yet. Until now i used a plug in to at table of content in my blog posts. In this plug in was a feature in the settings so that i can easily ad “on every blogpost” (or different options: recipe post, how to post, and so on) a table of content after “the first paragraph” (or different options: the first picture, on the top of my post, bevor…, and so on). Very sophisticated! However, can I add the table of contents to my pages globally by selecting the number of titles when the table of contents should be used? I currently use a very nice table of contents plugin and set it to display the table of contents if there are three or more titles on the page. I have several hundred pages and do not want to have to add /table to each page.

What about if I have been using an automated plugin for over 350 articles. If I want to use the WordPress block from now on, I will have to deactivate the plugin and all my previous articles will lose their T.O.C. Any suggestions?

The funny thing is that the rank math plugin doesn't see its own Table of contents widget. I add a widget and error Use Table of Content to break down your text, remains. I've tried saving and updating with no success.

30 seconds into the video one sees numbered TOC and the headings also have numbers. Is there a way to automatie the headers to get the same numbers (not made manually by entering the text in the header itselves that seems to create double numbers in TOC)?

As far as the TOC block from Rank Math is concerned, it works only with the Gutenberg editor. There's one suggestion: Enable one option in the Global setting to auto-insert the Table of content blocks on every article automatically. (as other table of content plugins do)

If this option is unavailable for you, then its probably due to the theme not supporting the feature. You can try using the default themes or contact the theme developer to further add the feature.

Can I use rank maths table of content while using elementor free plugin? Aparently I need to switch back to the Gutemberg editor to be able to do so. Thanks dear Jack (and team), but i have one more feature missing. Maybe i haven’t found it yet. Until now i used a plug in to at table of content in my blog posts. In this plug in was a feature in the settings so that i can easily ad “on every blogpost” (or different options: recipe post, how to post, and so on) a table of content after “the first paragraph” (or different options: the first picture, on the top of my post, bevor…, and so on). Very sophisticated! However, can I add the table of contents to my pages globally by selecting the number of titles when the table of contents should be used? I currently use a very nice table of contents plugin and set it to display the table of contents if there are three or more titles on the page. I have several hundred pages and do not want to have to add /table to each page.

What about if I have been using an automated plugin for over 350 articles. If I want to use the WordPress block from now on, I will have to deactivate the plugin and all my previous articles will lose their T.O.C. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately, there is no way to add the Table of contents Block to preexisting posts automatically. You will need to add the TOC individually to each post. Our developers are working on solutions for this.
Hence in the meantime, we'd suggest you continue using the automated plugin for adding the Table of Contents.

The funny thing is that the rank math plugin doesn't see its own Table of contents widget. I add a widget and error Use Table of Content to break down your text, remains. I've tried saving and updating with no success.

The TOC block is available both for PRO and Free users but block will only work on the Gutenberg block editor and at the moment, you can't apply it in classic editors or any page builders other than Gutenberg.

30 seconds into the video one sees numbered TOC and the headings also have numbers. Is there a way to automatie the headers to get the same numbers (not made manually by entering the text in the header itselves that seems to create double numbers in TOC)?

But we have some suggestions added to our repository to improve the TOC block that was shared by our users, and those include the support for other page builders and the implementation of a shortcode to add the block anywhere on the page.
