Old school Eliza is still there, for sure! There is a time and a place for songs and covers like that. But I've been releasing music on youtube for eight years. I was 13 when I started, and I'll be 21 next week. Eight years of releasing and creating the same sort of material, doesn't feel as rewarding as it once did. Probably because it's been eight years haha. It just feels like I'm not growing, or expanding. The reason for newer sounds, and experimentation , isn't to "cover up" or dilute a raw authentic sound. It's merely just to explore what I'm capable of. I could do it in the privacy of my home and at least have the ability to know what I'm capable of, for myself. But I'd rather be public about it, and share it with those who have helped me and supported my growth for so long, as it is something I'm equally proud of. Extremely proud of. I've gotten a decent amount of feedback like this before, and this is by no means supposed to be offensive (the fact that you even watched the video is glorious, to me).
