I once stranded five kerbals in a defective rocket with tons of science data on board and a high, eccentric orbit above Kerbin. I had no more kerbals left to save them, so I did the only logical thing. Kirrim to the rescue. In the exact same defective rocket with an extra seat attached. It went surprisingly well, but was probably about 87.2% luck. The original rocket is still up there as a reminder of my incompetence.
Regarding the tiny lander fitting into the Mohole, a few thoughts: - 1: use radial stages that eject outwards to crash into the sides of the Mohole, instead of down onto poor Jeb - 2: Extend a ladder off the bottom for him to grab onto, so he doesn't have to go straight to the seat/command module - 3: Apollo-style LEM stage that you leave behind when you liftoff

I'm genuinely tempted to create a large space station orbiting Moho and name it the "Mohole". And then, to make it even more on-the-nose, I'll only have it staffed by male Kerbals. Add in some flashing multi-colored lights and some Village People in the background and you'll have somewhere that Jeb won't WANT to be rescued from.
I have established a shuttle with 2 stages, a carrier craft first stage, consisting of a mainsail, adapter, and 2 orange tanks + fairing, then the shuttle itself, made of an MK-3 plane with (by clever use of airbrakes) having extendable and retractable wings and tailfin, it has a payload bay consisting of 2 MK-3 singles, it has 4 Rapier engines and enough fuel to get to Jool and back without refueling (but don't think it can't refuel, it has 8 drills hidden inside a service bay) I have used it to establish a orbiting station around Kerbin, Duna, Eve, and the Mun

"More boosters, more fuel" describes my latest SSTO development. It is slowly becoming the machine I need for my plans; my plans of total Kerbin system domination! MUAHAHAHHAHAHAaaa
one thing i noticed about docking. after the first maybe 5 times you do it in the game, it gets much easier overall. the first two times i did it, i didnt think i would ever get it, but then using the "Lowne docking method" (lol) and advice from Scott Manley about using chase cam to help, it became one of the easier things to do. if you can get encounters with moons and/or planets in KSP, docking shouldnt be an issue.
You ain't kidding about Moho. I use a PS4 and that takes a long time to get a orbit around it. Now I'm just completely the mission on going over there.
I had a game for over a month where I had accidentally stranded 2 kerbals in a command pod orbiting around the sun in their own orbit and could never figure out how to save them.
Why not make a video about all the different transfer windows, just to make sure they're all there. And maybe include different gravity assists at the end or as a separate video? Also love the vids and Merry Xmas Matt
I will say, you probably don't need to give yourself a budget, because as far as I can tell, International Rescue had essentially infinite budget to be able to 1 own an island, 2 build a home on that island, and 3 make secret underground rocket launch platforms and hangars, and hide the entrance to them.
When you look at the kerbals in the corner in the regular view (not full screen), his channel watermark covers Bob Kerman's face, making it look like Bob has a different face
