To educate the Armys, with respect, the reason why the show did not use the Original track of Dynamite was because of copyright reasons. They won't be able to publish this video if it was the og.

@@philipp4850 there is a reason he is with janette you know. Janette is small and easy for him to lift. He did say at the start of strictly he is terrified of the lifts and he is so happy that he is with janette because he loves her as a person.

She didn’t choreograph it was two other people they posted a pic on Instagram earlier of them with the choreographers

As a ballroom/latin dancer myself...practice, lots of it, we start out in heels that are nearly flat and work our way up as we get older 😂

I love this choreography and of course the song choice but, I just want to say to the people in the comments to not hate on the singer because he is most likely exhausted from singing songs for the whole show. They can’t get the actual groups or use the track due to copyright issues. I think it’s just cause we are so used to BTS singing the song that we don’t think anyone else can. I’m just asking not to hate on the singer because what if you were in his shoes and had to sing non stop 💜

There is no other queen of salsa quite like THE Manrara. Typically in a dance there would be a break, a space where you can take a breath but every single step led directly into the next with no stop in sight. It was a near perfect dance. However, his dismounts from lifting janette need to be smoother. You could tell he was stressed about the lifts because it showed on his face. This is not an if, but when we see him in the final, if they choose to do this dance i have no doubt this will get top marks. 9/10
This was gorgeous, Janette is a genius - pretty sure my heart stopped when she stood while constantly spinning! I feel she compensated a lot for HRVY's weaknesses by adding a lot of herself in the choreography. I expected HRVY to be a lot more fluid but it was a great performance overall.

That was amazing. A proper Salsa! His lifts for her were amazing, even the basic side by side steps he made look like a pro, great fluidity and hip action. Great control and grip given to Janette in the potcircle. Beautiful peacock love that step. Flexed knees on point, musicality was perfection. Good energy and he was so focused. It was one of the best Salsa's in strictly. Great song choice makes you want to get up for a party and I thought HRVY had great isolation and he was on point for every turn and lift Janette was doing and that isn't easy. It almost give a street / break dancing vibe but I loved that. His armography was sensational. A 100% better than the Cha Cha. *10/10* back on form

This dance was spectacular, Janette’s hips don’t lie, HRVY’s moves were absolutely perfect and the dance itself was brilliant. My favourite part was at 1:05 when HRVY spun Janette loads of times. Just brilliant! 10

Well done HRVY and Janette, great salsa 👍🏼 It’s really good that they’re using a BTS song (that the BBC have to pay for too). Strictly is a hugely popular show and it gets the song a lot of attention. The show singers are doing their best - not many can sing amazingly like BTS after all! 💜

I'm new to SCD, having watching DWTS for years, and this was way better than anything I've seen on DWTS this season. I think I'm officially a convert after I binge the previous weeks' dances, plus this week's.
Ive been watching strictly for 5 years now I'm from the US, I didn't know that DWTS was a spin off of Strictly but it is!! Original is always going to be better
@@gracefullyrachel6573 I've known it was a spin off for ages, but never really got the chance to check it out until now, and yes, the original is always better. DWTS has their great seasons, but not these past few years, imo.

Yeah he is, but I think he has had a little practise in dancing salsa because in a couple of his music videos he was dancing say for example in “million ways” his song he did quite a lot of dancing.

I cant be the only person that loves their choreography but wishes that they'd chosen a more suitable vocalist for this song 😬 Their choreography is amazing 💜 but the singer hasn't done the song justice in my opinion 😅
EDIT: Thanks for all the likes guys 💜 Also, I'm not hating completely on the vocalist I'm just saying that he seemed to struggle with some of the higher notes so the show could have chosen a vocalist who's vocal range was better suited to the song. When he was singing the lower range within the song be was really good, it was just the higher register of it that he seemed to struggle with. Also, this is my personal opinion, so no hate please 💜

I agree that using the original songs and singers would be better, but Strictly always uses live singers for performances due to copyright reasons. Furthermore, dances are never longer than two minutes and the average song is around 3-and-a-half, so they have to make their own arrangements too. It means that songs sometimes sound terrible, but it's what the show has always done :\

It's not copyright, the live band is a show feature (sometimes they are better than this). It's more expensive to pay royalties AND hire the band to play it than it would be to just play the songs.

HRVY is easily one of the technically strongest dancers of the group this year, particularly in the Latin. I don’t think that is a question, so I am prone to nitpick him even more. My big one being I could tell a lot of the lifts there was slight strain to them. That and I look forward to the point where he doesn’t need to count out loud to himself. (8)

This was AMAZING for the first dance of the night. The choreography gel WAYYY better than last week, so I'm safe to say it was due to the boots. The execution was nice and the lifts were clean and crisp. Overall, nothing much to critique here, solid routine to start the night! *9!!!!*

I love when Janette comes out in fringes, she is a little fire-cracker in the Latin dances and the fringes really emphasise her sparkle and lock in the fast movements, she and HRVY work really well together
