A good tutorial for unboxing and already set it up;) thanks to Aaron for helping me via the website and thanks to you for everything (to answer the question of taxes and supplement from USA to France: it is nothing more than the 10$ of expedition;) i love it

    Is there a tutorial on making your own single tube slingbow tubes

      There is not. sorry. it is the same exact technique though. It just uses a different pouch.

    What size does the ball bearing have to be ?

    Hey nathan if 28 inch draw is 6 inch working band length how about if my draw is 26 inch what should be my working band lenght

    • @simpleshot

      It will depend with the elongation that you use.

      The draw weight does not matter as it is the draw length we are looking at. You will want around 5.2 inches of active band length to be at 500% elongation.

    I got a longer draw length than that so now I gotta find longer bands or make some

      Our bandsets come 10 inches so it will accommodate even most full butterfly shooters.

      @@simpleshotwhich bands are 10 inches the slingbow tubes or the flatbands? Cause from what the video says the tubes only pull to 28 inches

    A question if I may... are these tubes so close in draw weight to each other that they can be cut to equal length? How far out of line would it be to draw each tube to 28" and cut them accordingly?

    • @simpleshot
      @simpleshot  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      For clarification, are you asking if you can cut the tubes first, then install?

    • @simpleshot
      @simpleshot  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The draw weight will go up as the ball bearing is inserted closer to the serving attachment. We recommend 6" of working latex tubing between the ball bearing and serving attachment as a starting point. When drawn to a consistent 28" anchor, the tubes from one set to the next should be close. However, they will not be exact as latex will begin to fatigue with age and use, reducing the retraction speed. You really can't compare sling bows to traditional bows in an apples to apples mindset. Slingbows are fun and capable, but if you are after traditional/compound archery like consistency, you will most certainly be disappointed.

    • @aksalaman4689
      @aksalaman4689 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you put each tube on your draw weight scale that you have, how close is the poundage to each other? I was just thinking that if they were close to equal poundage and not just length, they would be more accurate? Just thinking out loud. @@simpleshot

    • @simpleshot
      @simpleshot  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@aksalaman4689 they would match one another and yes, we could simply cut them to a given length. However, not everyone shoots the same draw length or wants to shoot heavy bands. Sending them out long allows you to custom tune them to your exact needs...which makes you capable of pursuing more accuracy and consistency.

      @@aksalaman4689 I see what you mean now. So the goal would be to increase accuracy in equalizing the band sides?

    Hey man, I have gold theraband and plan on doing OTT, would you recommend a one strand or double strand? As of now I can’t reach my cheek, so if I just take off a band from each side, would that probably be good ish?

    • @simpleshot
      @simpleshot  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Are you talking tubes or flats?

    • @theoutdoorangler1173
      @theoutdoorangler1173 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      So ended up changing my setup to a single band, I’m using about 7 inches and it fits perfect to my face. I am using gold theraband that’s about 18-20mm. I also do use 3/8 inch steel balls. I know lead is better but I tried to be a bit more environmental friendly. I went out shooting yesterday and I just cannot get much power out of it. The wind up is good, but the ball will go 30 feet before dipping down really quickly and not even going very fast

    • @simpleshot
      @simpleshot  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@theoutdoorangler1173 So you're using flats, right?
      Honestly, 7 inches is a lot of rubber for a face anchor. 7 inches would only be the correct length if you have a very long draw.
      Check out our videos on:
      Active band length
      Draw length
      Tuning bands / Matching bands to ammo
      And honestly, Theraband used to be a great choice, but any more, it's severely lacking in the power/speed department. The precise latex is very fast and our SimpleShot Black is still our favorite for a combination of speed/longevity.
      That said, the important thing is tuning those bands. Make sure you're getting all the stretch you can and you can send 3/8 out FAST!
