The Lost Monarch is incredible and an absolute steal for 40 bucks, I definitely would have snagged that old forester single barrel rye too I've never seen that on the shelf anywhere

High Plains Rye is very similar to High West Rendezvous, as someone who is obsessed with High West and has a few too many Winter Drams, its definitely a pickup for me.

Just got back from a day trip in Wilmington. Found some E.H Taylor for $89 first time finding that in the wild so I grabbed it. Asked the sweet lady behind the counter for Weller and she laughed 😂 she did have a bottle of eagle rare for $47.95 so I grabbed that as well. Love the videos keep them coming!

OF rye in my area is available but it varies from store to store for 400-800 a bottle. I would grabbed that and be smiling the rest of the month:) Lost Monarch is a great pour! Cheers

If it means anything, the OF single barrels that are high in proof tend to drink really hot lol. Hit or miss for some people.

The OFSBBS just hit Wisconsin all over. I got a Warehouse I Floor 1 for 87. 97 for one is high but the Warehouse K bottles are highly sought after.

If you want knob creek 12 the most common place around me that has it oddly enough is Walmart and for msrp I snagged 2 bottles Friday and left 5 on the shelf

97 for the Old forrester Single barrel rye is a deal to me, red wood empire cask strength is so much better than the regular, I have the high west double rye finished in cognac and its great, the blackened wes henderson is absolute fire...

The RE Lost Monarch is one of my favorite value bottles, I actually call it my "daily drinker". My policy is to buy it anytime I see it priced at less than 35 bucks. One of my locals stores caries the Pipe Dream and Emerald Giant, if you buy 6 bottles of anything, it brings the price down to 25bucks. I've already stocked up on the Emerald Giant at that price, if they every get the Lost Monarch at that, I''ll buy every bottle I can, until I have several cases. lol ...not a fan of the pipe dream, but that Emerald Giant has to be the best value Rye out there at that price.
It may be my “daily” pour too. Aka weekends
Redwood Empire Rye is by far the most unique Rye’s I’ve ever had. One of my favorites ever. Definitely recommend.
So far the Lost Monarch is amazing. Can’t wait to get the rest of the line up!

I’ve never even seen one of those in eight years of hunting bourbon in North Carolina. The Lost Monarch is a great bottle - it’s funny because it used to be $30 here and now it’s $35 and I stopped buying it - expensive down there in my old stomping grounds!
Its $39.99 now like everything the darn price is going wayyyyy up!
You’re going to love that redwood empire lost Monarch. Super citrus-ey, like a blood orange. The finish is amazingly long and intense as well. I heard the cask strength version though isn’t as great as the regular. Can’t believe you were able to pass up that 1792 full proof single barrel. Love the videos, great hunt.

I passed on woodville yesterday too ive had okay experiences with it haha but I will make note to try it again!

That 1792 FP is crazy priced. Picked some up last month and they were 46.99 each
High West Campfire is on the shelf in a lot of states. I see it all the time locally as well as on business trips (which I always try to hunt of I can)
Business trips are excuses to satisfy my itch for new juice 😂
Great video as always! Always been super interested in that rebel 10 and still want to try one of those cask strengths. Ive had their Rebel 100 and really enjoyed it and seeing as how its similarly priced to the benchmark lineup never a bad grab. I would imagine the higher end bottles would only be better. Keep up the amazing content!

The bourbon scene looks pretty solid in SC. I passed through there (Charleston) when I joined the navy and lived in Summerville for a bit. Unfortunately, I wasn’t into bourbon at the time.

Redwood Empire has to be one of my favorite distilleries lately. I started with their Pipe Dream, and I recently got their Emerald Giant. I have been blown away by the flavor

@@Bourbon_Hunter from my experience normally, all depends on who picked it and how your palates align. Store picks are single barrel also so that tends to make them better/worse by default.
Why throwing shade at the Penelope? Just picked up a bottle of their toasted, great pour.
I had 3:35 a good week. Found a Four Roses OESO single barrel, ECBP A123 and B523.

That Reservoir wiskey is damn good. Can't say about the rye, and I'm not a big rye fan, but the others are damn delicious. Price is a lot, even here, but still a damn good wiskey

For a polar opposite Rye experience, compare Seagrass with Old Ezra Rye. It's a strange pairing, as they're very different ryes.

Not a fan of whistle pig it’s a tad overpriced for me. And yeah can’t believe you didn’t get the OF rye. Redwood is something I’m picking up this week I’m getting both the bourbon and the rye I’ll try the blend later. And I wish my area had many of these bottles. High west from what I’ve seen is hit or miss for some. Great stuff. Enjoy!!
